Lovely find. Out of the way, but only two minutes from my accommodation. Friendly staff with nice selection of ale. Food was really nice too. A traditional friendly local boozer.

Great proper pub, we visit every time we go to London

Mark & Gina, friendly publicans, were a lovely start to our first day in London. We enjoyed a variety of draughts, and FANTASTIC Thai food from upstairs. The soups were flavor bombs and the fish and chips? 🤌 Must visit, quick walk from Tower of London, and beautiful spot for a photo out front!

Lovely old pub with good real ales

This place is a hidden gem. Not far from the hotel I was staying at. As a lone female I felt very safe walking into this pub on my own. Very chilled atmosphere and Max and Vicky who served me were very friendly indeed. I never expected to see Thai food on a pub menu, but OMG it was very good indeed. I would highly recommend a visit to this pub. Please please visit you will not be disappointed

Authentic London pub with a great atmosphere and tranquil beer garden. Combination of traditional pub grub with a great selection of Thai cuisine. Perfect for Thai tourists and or Thai nationals.

We tried food from the Thai menu and it dis not sisaapoint. Staff were friendly. Nice little beer garden out the back.

Really lovely looking pub with friendly staff. However, I arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen closed (we already knew what we wanted to order) and we were told the kitchen was already closed. We realize that's late and the policy of some places, but maybe consider noting that on the website or changing the time the kitchen closes. Really disappointing, as we had specifically made the walk over for it. However, the staff was really nice about it. Wish I had gotten to try it!

Here's a quaint and quirky good old London pub for you, situated between London's Aldgate and Tower Gateway stations. A good welcome from the barman accompanied by efficient service, a great atmosphere, comfortable surroundings, and beautiful historic decor, this little gem should delight those who love these old City and East End pubs. It has a little enclosed beer garden and serves Thai food. Definitely should be one on your list to visit whilst in London.

What a lovely, cozy, traditional pub !

Came in here by chance with a friend of mine on Friday. Was quiet, which was nice. Cracking bottled stout, friendly bar staff too. Little gem this one!

Called in here a couple of times whilst staying at the neighbouring Premier Inn. It's absolutely fantastic, beautiful old building, a proper pub with a gorgeous little beer garden at the back. We first called in on a Friday late afternoon for drinks and sat outside, it was quite busy with people finishing work. Then we called in on the Saturday evening for dinner, it has a Thai kitchen so most things on the menu are Thai but they still do Scampi, fish and chips etc. It was absolutely outstanding, we were just disappointed it's closed on a Sunday or we would have definitely gone back for a third visit.

Lovely traditional UK pub. Thai meals were very good and service was great - good selection of drinks, nice pint and outside terrace at the back.

I was compelled to leave a review because of how good the fried rice was. Admittedly, Thai food and fish and ships in a pub at first seems a weird combination but the chicken fried rice was delicious and better than many sit down Thai and Chinese restaurants I've eaten at. The bartender was very gracious in helping make the recommendation and I couldn't have been happier. It was also a generally pleasant place to be with plenty of drink options and a nice garden out back for when weather permits. They also have plenty of vegetarian options for their Thai dishes. I'll be back to try the curry as soon as I'm able.

I visited on a drizzly Friday afternoon. It's a lovely traditional London bar with history and great beers. Staff are very friendly and there's a choice of Thai or British Classic meals for lunch. London prices, but worth relaxing here, just away from Tower Bridge.

A lovely long and thin traditional pub. With a sheltered beer garden. This has to be a destination pub, as I can't see it picking up much walk past trade. It's a little off the beaten track and in a quieter area of the edge of The City. The food was great value. Mainly Thai themed, I went with the starter.... prawns, recommended by the bar tender who said she had them herself a couple of days back. And she was right, they were lovely. As was the main course, chicken massaman. I wasn't very hungry but managed to polish this one off. Cost wise? 19quid for two courses. Which, being a tight northerner was actually very acceptable I pay more for my Thai in Henden Bridge. The Spitfire beer was obviously ridiculously expensive at 6 quid, but this is London and. beer isn't cheap. I think this actually compares well with other venues. So the cost is kind of irrelevant. If you are looking for good food, a nice venue with no fuss. This is worth a 15 minute walk. I'll be back.

What a great pub, I can't believe that I have never actually been in here before. Not many in as it was a Saturday aftrenoon, hence only 4 for atmosphere, but great beer and great service.

Great traditional London pub but with Tia Food.

We have this pub behind our house but we've never stopped. Today, however, we decided to have a beer. The staff is very friendly and the pub has a truly historic feel. In addition to having several beers on tap and many tables to sit on, it has an excellent outdoor garden where you can sit and drink a beer. The food is also good, we tried a classic fish and chips and it was great. Advised!

Really nice hidden gem pub with historical decorations located on Prescot street! They have an outdoor terrace on the back and You can find the BEST thaï food in the area! Yes Thaï food in a pub! You hear me! Trust me, you won t be disappointed!

Lovely old pub, but a shame that when I visited on an afternoon to have a quiet pint while wanting to do a bit of work, the two bar staff were pumping out their own playlist of poor dance music and pure cheese holiday in Sitges type RnB. Absolutely no recognition of who the clientele in the bar were. Just totally inappropriate music for the setting. If the music had been more suitable, quieter or non existent, this place would get a 5

A true treasure of a pub with a long history. Very friendly staff severing delicious food and refreshing drinks. Excellent location with a beautiful "beer garden" - what a wonderful surprise in London! Definitely recommend - cheers!

We really should have listened to other people! Lovely looking pub but that's the only thing nice! We arrived as a small group, on arrival we was greeted/insulated by a drunk (the owner) we choose to ignore he's racist / sexist comments! More full us. We sat in the garden so we could escape wondering eyes and sniggering comments clearly aimed at us. My friend set up a bar tab because others was joining. We Ordered food when it arrived it was cold, greasy, and clearly not fresh. We asked for a refund and was refused because part of the food was eaten. We didn't order any more drinks because of this when we asked for the bill their was several other drinks on our tab. When we questioned the bill the bar lady was adamant they was ours but they clearly was not. She reluctantly removed the added drinks. I have heard from several people this is a thing the staff do in all their pubs to scam tourists but we are tourists unluckily for them and we spotted it. Nice try. I would totally avoid this venue. Drunk owner, thieving staff, the worst Thai food I have ever tasted and very expensive drinks! They charge premium prices for below average drinks! Never again and we work local . We will be sure to spread the word about the Princess of prussia and the white Swan!

Stumbled across this pub today whilst looking for something quick to eat.. Proper pub, very friendly helpful staff and our food was delicious and freshly prepared. Great find . Very quiet on Saturday lunchtime which is why I gave it four stars for atmosphere.

Good for a light beer or two. The service is friendly and the food tastes good. Drinks and food are expensive, but considering the prices in London, it's not something you can't afford.

Great, easygoing, unpretentious East end boozer. Each time I drink in here I feel like some historical figure will come crashing through the door; Edmund Reid for example bursting in quizzing all about the whereabouts of Jack the Ripper. I feel like I've entered a time Portal whenever I come in here😊. A wonderful, friendly & enjoyable place.

We were looking for somewhere to eat not far from the Leonardo Royal Hotel Tower Bridge and discovered this pub was a very short walk away. It was a Thursday night and the pub was busy but the atmosphere relaxed. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had Thai food which was delicious.

Called in last Friday afternoon and was surprised to find it so deserted. But sat out in the beer garden and had a pint of Spitfire. Nice inside and friendly bar maid. They even sell Tayto crisps ,possibly the only one in London that does, nice touch. Handy for Tower Bridge etc Will certainly call again when next in the area.

This was exactly what we were looking for; a lovely old traditional pub serving good food. They serve Thai food - they have a Thai chef - but there are also British options (fish and chips etc). It’s off the tourist trail, which is great.

The Surprise of Prescott Street. Yes, it is quite dark, but not in a bad way. Shepherds Neame can always be trusted to come up with the goods, in most cases but the PoP certainly did. Lovely Thai menu, and paradise city garden. Friendly service.

Called in for a quick drink and a bite to eat. A traditional style pub with small garden. Menu has standard pub fare and Thai dishes. I had the Mossman curry which was superb.

A modern bar with all the usual decor that you’d expect in a newly refurbished generic bar. Overpriced lager and ciders served by young folk that barely know how to acknowledge you when you are paying 12 quid for 2 pints of average beer. They do have shuffle board which is different and is the main reason why we go in.

Staff are fantastic, huge garden out back and never too loud.

타워힐 , 타워브릿지 부근 조용한 현지 펍입니다. 구석에 있어 관광객보단 현지인들이 많습니다. 기네스가 훌륭했습니다. 사이드로 감자튀김 먹었는데 아주 맛있었어요. 시끌한 대형 펍 말고 조용히 맥주 마시고 싶울때 방문하면 좋아요. 직원도 친절했어요.
