Subway in Tower Hamlets

Very disappointing service, food , and atmosphere, I paid for a meal including the drink and did not want to change my drink . After 4 years I visited Subway I find the food overpriced and very disappointing service. I expected some improvement however they haven’t improved much and wouldn’t recommend buying food there .

Slowww wow came during my lunch break and waited 15 minutes for my order. The self service process is completely inefficient! Never coming back

The food was good, but it bothered me that there were used napkins and pieces of salad lying on the tables

Very bad service, I am vegetarian and ordered veg and salad but the guys did not change gloves so I ended up vomiting due to bad taste of salad mixing up with non-veg. It’s humble request if anyone ordered veg please change gloves it’s really bad experience I still feel sick

I have received my order they said delivered but nothing came they just took my money

Sandwiches are made neatly and well. The store itself is really dirty. Tables were dirty and not cleared... the floor is dirty with everything. Good vegan options :)

The delivery driver has to be caught he he has most likely stolen my packages for my house. We are calling police to track him down

I come in here today and there was an older woman on the counter I told her I couldn't work the pay as you go screens that woman couldn't do enough to help me well do you have great vision and passion well done

With the introduction of a self kiosk to order subway it takes more time than it used to when it was made in front of a customer. Subway's business is deffo gonna take a hit.

App appeared to show delivery driver arriving on time, however I never saw the delivery driver or my food even when app said he was right ontop of me

They’re so slow. For 2 sandwiches, we waited 15 mins. There was only 2 orders before us.

Where is the Subway experience to individualise your sandwich at the counter??? Sorry with those order machines it takes far too long and is inefficient.

I had my favourite sandwich, but they didn’t do as I told them less sauce (it was dry )They don’t want you to see how they do it. I’m very disappointed. Very greedy☹️

Check your whole order before leaving, I had missing items in mine and couldn’t get back so I lost half of my order even I asked the staff if the order was complete

I loved subways but after today I am happy never to step foot in it ever again. I also think I got frauded in this branch using their self pay system.

I received nothing but my side order with my meal deal no drink no nothing ordered extra cookies and nothing was delivered the bag was sealed by subway so I dont even blame the driver the just got order late and get lazy!

Some consultancy seem to have established that hiding the ingredients behind a big sticker and putting self service machines would increase profitability. That’s an anti consumer decision.

New self service machines are terrible, dont get to select your sub properly and staff are stood around doing very littlw

Spent our lunch here, just had some couple of minutes during our daily rush. Ordered two huge sandwiches and we were really satisfied with all. The service was quick and nice. The table could be more clean after the former customer, but was not that significant to remove even 1 star. You can order through an automated device and pay with credit card or you can do it personally.

The next day we had a bad stomach. The bread was a little chewy and the sandwiches were nothing special either, the ingredients thrown in any way and with little filling. I give it a 3 because the cookies were very good and the truth is that they were very fast.

By far the worst subway in the uk The cashier (English lady is extremely rude and has filthy hands ) plus a filthy attitude they seriously need to close this subway down

Food was stone cold and damaged

Didn’t get my food the delivery guys number is not going tru now and the subway shop number is going to voicemail. My food is meant to be delivered to me at st Mary’s hospital the delivery guy came and tried to call my phone while he was downstairs but I was sleeping so he left without leaving my food I’m very disappointed

People are super friendly behind the tile had to change my drink and they were happy to help. Is clean and tidy.

what they are doing to prevent you from being normal is unbelievable. firstly they have introduced these new self service machines meaning you don’t even get to interact with the human anymore and if you want to pay by cash the lady at the front counter gives you the biggest attitude and doesn’t even want you to talk to her it throws you off completely when you try to order for a family member. unbelievable service they need to fix it

Gentleman was doing Uber at the same time delivering food so my food was cold cause he had a trip at the same time. I was suspicious when I’ve seen he suddenly lost reception 9 minutes away from my home and he arrived 30 minutes later. Impossible to eat the food.

Cross contamination. The staff do not change their gloves when handling meat. Management should look into this as a matter of urgency. Staff don’t even admit when questioned about gloves!? I watched him NOT change gloves and he still told me he did.

So they got rid of NHS discount number 1. I know a lot of my colleagues and I came here but for £8.99 for a small sub meal it’s ridiculous! McDonald’s and KFC are your rivals on the same street and they offer NHS discount! You’re about to lose a lot of customers who work in the hospital near by. Secondly they have installed automated ordering screens, like McDonalds but you can’t even order in person if you want to, ok fine whatever, you think this would speed up the process of making the food. WRONG. Nearly 11 minutes to make my sandwich! Not only that the sandwich I did get was a mess when I opened it, all falling out and sauce everywhere! Shambolic.

21 minutes of waiting for 2 poor sandwiches. The staff is overwhelmed and not friendly at all. They accumulate errors and customers have to ask and discuss to get their order. I paid for a double cheese supplement, I'm still looking for the cheese... everyone can make mistakes but being courteous is the key.

The melts are brilliant; hot, melty cheese, lots of meat, bit shy on the veg, "panini styles". They make good SUBS at this branch.

Ordered a meatball sub was sent a bacon breakfast sub I don’t eat bacon this is horrible

The food was like mush and although it was. Salad it looked like the driver had just tipped it all over it was pure slop and unenjoyable Not enough salad just loads of lettuce but nothing of anything else

Food is ok. The crew was friendly and patient. I think people should know their sauces because if you picked the wrong kind of sauce then the food you are eating will weird.

Ordered chicken tikka sub £7.41 each. There were only a couple of pieces of chicken and too much salad.

Went to collect at the designated time and it wasn’t ready…should have just gone there and ordered rather than thinking it was already ready

Chi conosce subway non ha bisogno che venga descritto il suo cibo. Il problema è più che altro con questo ristorante in particolare, nulla da dire al personale che è gentilissimo, solo che in zona, come i ristoranti di altre catene, hanno poco spazio e pochi posti per sedersi, inoltre, c'è poca scelta di bevande e tutte praticamente di tipo dietetico o senza zucchero, insomma, mettere qualcosa di normale non sarebbe male per dare una scelta in più, anche perché è sempre da ricordare che quando dicono 0 calorie è una fregatura perché le calorie le hanno, di meno delle altre, ma ci sono lo stesso.

I asked for no salsa sauce and jalapeños as I’m allergic and that’s what I’ve got

I came in to the shop. There was one person in line, who was about to finish their order. Lady finishes up with the customer and I was expecting to be served. She doesn’t even acknowledge me AT ALL! she starts to do a Uber eats order before even. Saying a word to me, doesn’t even tell me 1 minute or anything just ignores me and starts doing an online order. She adds the meat, cheese, toasts it, salad and packages 2 different subs before she even acknowledges me. Bare in mind I’m the only customer in the shop, it’s been close to 10 minutes and no one has said a word to me. Finally another member of staff, comes out and greets me and starts to take my order. This lady who has been infront of me for 10 minutes hasn’t said a word the whole time to me. So the man makes my sub and toasts it, and now they’re both making online orders whilst my sub is beeping to come out. They ignore it, finish making another online order before taking mine out. Finally the guy finishes my sub and wraps it up. The lady is ringing me up, very grumpily says is that it? I said I want a drink, she gave me a cup which she grabbed by putting her fingers in the cup to give to me, which is disgusting. Worst service I’ve had in any establishment for years. I’m not expecting the world but that was diabolical. Food is what I expected though. Don’t go there if you’re expecting good fast service.

Wow after having subway in the US and in Scandinavia, what a difference a country makes. Their menu is totally different from these other places and you can see the international influences in their offering.

I shouldve read the other reviews before ordering from here, I ordered a tuna salad with cheese and southwest sauce and it came with no cheese and no sauce, seems like missing items and not reading orders correctly is a common issue here sadly

Great food at reasonable prices

I was travelling from Heathrow via Paddington and wanted to get a bite to eat before continuing onto another train. I originally wanted McD or KFC but they had no seating area, or seating was closed - it was 11pm. Luckily, Subway was next door with a few seats, probably 10-12 in the place. The staff were efficient and friendly, food was tasty and fresh. I have had a lot worse meatball sub at Subway, these were really tasty and fresh. I made the right choice going here rather than the other two places. It is Halal too for my Muslim friends. Very close to Paddinton station exit, looks further on Google maps, it is 2 minutes from the station exit.

Wrong drink and crisps were provided to me.

Let me preemptively say, that I have eaten here several times, and if I lived in the area, i would keep coming back because the staff is friendly and the food is good. That said, the tables are almost never clean, and the staff is too busy to deal with it, so if you are the hygiene freak type, Perhaps give it a pass.

I’m extremely disappointed in the food I just received. My Italian BMT was cold and inedible. I ordered a packet of cheesy quaver crisps but got cheese and onion oven baked crisps. The restaurant weren’t updating the app so my order was 30 mins late. I called them 17 times and the phone was busy each time. I will definitely be requesting a refund because £12 was not worth it for what I got. Absolutely not.
