As a Trinidadian, i literally could cry knowing i throw away my money. Tasteless is an understatment. The one positive is i asked for extra gravy and it was provided. I just didnt realise the gravy would be brown water.

The curry was absolutely tasteless. I’ve never had a curry with no flavour. I’m really disappointed and surprised that a business would feel it was acceptable to sell a curry that had no flavour.

New venue a massive upgrade on the former establishment; based in a vibrant food hall. However, Roti Joupa still amazing curry and the best buss-up shot we've been able to find in the UK.

Fourth time I’ve been here now, food and service is always amazing. The two people working there are always friendly and cheery, giving you a great feeling when you’re there. Lots of vegetarian options, the portions sizes are huge and the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Will be coming back again and again!

I got 3 beef roti’s for an order of 2 lamb and a goat. What’s going on?

The Goat curry in a dal puri was amazing. The dal puri was huge with lots of potato and so much meat. It fed both me and my wife. Great value for under £10. Parking was free next door in Morrison. Overall a nice food market vibe. I would highly recommend for tasty carribean food.

I ordered rice with curry goat. Unfortunately the food was very dry and lacked moisture and also the meat was beef as opposed to goat.

May 2024 - Just updating my review from three years ago to confirm that the food remains consistently delicious. Staff remain approachable, and prices reasonable in spite of rising costs around the world. The Finsbury Park branch has now moved to Nags Head market on the first floor, where shared seating (with other eateries) are available. Delicious and generous portions. This Trini restaurant takes pride in their food and keeps it authentic. No.1 place for roti and Trini snacks in the area. Highly recommended

🤢🤢🤢 could not even eat this garbage. How this place has high reviews is a mystery, i am guessing these are people that have not experienced an authentic roti. I got a fish roti. The roti shell was thick, breadlike, dry and tough. The roti was a bland and dry curried potatoe with 2 fillets of soggy, flour dipped fried tilapia or some kind of cheap white fish fillet with close to zero seasoning. It is an insult to Roti! 🤢

Try the doubles - amazing... chicken roti is good too. The owner (David I think) is soo hospitable and friendly - I'll defo be back when I'm in the area.

A MISSING £11.50 dish and whoever cooked the dishes didn’t even cut the meat big chunks and not as much as usually. Same with rice portions.

I'd been craving a roti for a while and I'm so glad I had one from here. Not only was it delicious and full of meat/ flavour. The customer service was top! They asked me how spicy I wanted it and I said medium and it was spot on. They were kind and friendly and were really thoughtful when they saw that I had my little one with me... would highly recommend and I'll be back when I'm next in the area!

Very fast and smooth process. They are cash-only but there's an ATM opposite the road. I got the buss up shot (roti paratha) with curry goat. The portion size is quite generous. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy the roti, it was (imo) too thick and a bit floury. However, the curry goat was delicious. I would come back again for their curries, but I'm not sure about the buss-up-shot.

I love their roti channa, curry goat and curry chicken, service fast, clean and can't get enough. The size of the filled roti, is a decent size and 1 is enough. Worth the 6 bus stops I have to travel to get there.

So I must say, this place has the best doubles I have ever tasted in London. The roti is also good and they will stuff the aloo pie if you want. The only down side is the parking. Do not drive there or you will get anxiety. I will definitely go back for mote doubles and the price is really good.

Food was ordered for 2:30 but Just Eat collected the food from the restaurant at 1 so by the time it had reached us it was stone cold and there was also food missing from the order. Food that was delivered was delicious once warmed.

Do not waste your money or time going there! Have been buying from them for years but a while ago, we started getting bones and hardly any meat with our roti. The last time we took ages to find the new place and it was horrible! I don’t know if they treat us horribly because we are Trini but the food was not worth it. I ordered lamb and three quarters of the lamb was liver! Crazy! The pholorie was spongy and the taste amateur! Channa in de doubles was hard like rock. They just lost 8 Trini customers! Never again!

I would definitely order from here again as the food was delicious. My only issue was my food was lukewarm and I had no way of heating it up but I shouldn't have to...it should have been hot. I will phone ahead to ensure they heat up food so it's hot next #justsaying

Oh my word the lamb roti was absolutely delicious. It saved me £600 flight ticket to Trinidad! To be able to have this top quality food that is 100% tasty here in the UK is a valued service. I will definitely buy again and again! Well done to the chefs and customer service you are amazing 😻

Lol, this is not Trinidad dhalpurie. Only people who don't know better will eat this. The roti was like leather with 3 grains of dhal ( I swear). Lord, if you see the pumpkin, like dish water lol. The doubles, awful, the channa hard and is literally in curry water. I'm sorry but you wouldn't buy a beef burger from a vegetarian shop would you? If you catch my drift.

Bought some roti and buss up on Tuesday. The veg roti was lovely but the buss up was not buss up but scraps of fried flour. I would not buy the buss up again I'm afraid

Poor standard of doubles and roti. Not Trinidadian way. I enjoy the solo!! Will not return. The one in Chalpham High Street was the best! Sorry it closed down. You could see them cooking on the premises. The staff was friendly. I will go crazy buying food and snacks from Trinidad. Will not return to Finsbury pk and Shepherd Bush if they still open. 👎

Curried chicken roti and spicy doubles ❤️ 10/10

Great Roti and hot doubles experience. Met an original Trini chef, selling original Trini Roti and Doubles. I am not a Trini but of Caribbean heritage and have been to Trinidad as like many of the Islands. Bwoy eating Doubles here brought back memories of Trinidad, Laventille. Portions were good, in fact none of the three of us could complete it in one sitting. Just for clarification and a point of reference, we visited 18th Sept 2021. The doubles were so nice, before return back to NW London we returned to the Chef's surprise and laughter for more double's. Definitely saved this place as a favorite in my Google Maps as we will definitely be returning. For other reviewers, please note. It is not a restaurant and regardless of the Chef's emotional behavior, it's about the quality of food. If you want banter with your food, go on a Meetup app where it's a restaurant with your friends and review waiters and establishments. This review is about the delicious food the Chef and his assistance provide which i believe is great. Parking outside is not great but neither is the travel to Mount Everest yet when people look at the view at the top you dont hear them say. "Great view, but I would not recommend it as it has not got a stair-lift or an easy way to get there. - Just saying. This was my first visit and certainly wont be my last. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I do not usually write these as you can most likely tell but I am hoping this shop retains as the food we received had no complaints but actually positives. Plus just to add, I have had many Roti's in and outside the UK and by friends. Best Roti shop this year I have discovered and i know there aren't many but these guys are doing a great job. Firstly, the good people here serving food are truly lovely folks, most importantly though, the food is so good it’s boarder line illicit! It’s so damn tasty, you could ween people off of crack with it! My favourites are the fried fish roti & the curry goat roti but the big revelation for me, being a carnivorous savage, are the doubles, the only veggie food I’ve ever tasted that didn’t make me wish I had a dead animal on my plate.

If you are looking for authentic Trini roti then you will be happy. The roti is large packed with meat and potatoes and super tasty! Will buy again this is cheaper than flying out to Trinidad 🇹🇹 😍

This place is small but packed with everything Trinidad 🇹🇹 I prefer these doubles over Horizons. But everybody has there preference. Doubles is £2 and is authentic. Smell of Trinidad makes you want to eat more

Roti Joupa makes the best roti with chickpeas curry. It's always hot when you buy their food. The roti on its own is A class. If you're ever in Finsbury Park drop in on them.

Best place in London for Roti. Highly recommend if you want to experience real Trinidadian cuisine🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹 Curry lamb and mixed veg roti is excellent. Talipia fish is also perfecto if ur a fan of seafood.

The meat was not of good quality or was old.

The dhal puri was a bit stuggy and couldn’t taste any split peas with what is used to make the dhal puri. The curry was ok could have done with a bit more flavour. The doubles was just soggy and sweet which is quite the opposite of what it was supposed to taste like. The filling was ok. Overall disappointed but as it’s the first time ordering, it’s difficult for me to say if this was just a one off that the food was not on par or live up to my expectation. Wouldn’t be ordering from here in a hurry.

As an islander I can honestly say its the best chicken roti I've eaten since coming to the UK. The taste and size definitely surprised me. Keep it up guys!!

On menu I put for some drinks to come by time my delivery came the drinks was taken off.

this meal was paid ob credit gue to a misjudgement from anther outlet . what was very disappointing on this occasion was the small lamb curry was put in a container the size i can only discribe to hold " coleslaw ". it was that small !

Got few things to try it. The curry chicken was terrible, bland, watery and poor quality of meat. Waste of £8. The dhal puri was a little hard. The hot doubles were very nice and tasty. Everything else was average. Plus the guy at the was not very welcoming

First of all the gentleman at the till was very uninviting and it made me feel uncomfortable. I ordered the hot doubles, curry chicken, buss up, one dhal puri and pholourie. May I start with expressing my disappointment with the curry chicken it wasn’t of the best quality of meats and drenched in oil, the pholourie was ok but a little to dense for my likings but I wouldn’t order it again. The buss up and dhal puri I wasn’t happy neither disappointed with but to end this review on a high note the hot doubles were really tasty.

Wow. Didn’t expect that. A full sized roti and the curry goat was so good. So glad I got for dinner and not lunch. Don’t usually leave reviews on here but the roti was outstanding.
