Disappointing experience at Whitecross St Pret. Staff provided false information and were disrespectful when confronted. Worker even swore at me. Left feeling upset. Hope management takes action to improve customer service.

Amongst all prets this is a good vibes, generally clean one. The staff are particularly friendly here, so thank you to the team! The coffee here is marginally better quality (less likely to taste burned as hell) than at the other prets. Nice and quiet too.

I like Pret A Manger and it’s my favourite coffee shop.Unfortunately in this branch the staff with 0 experience ,just simply they don’t know how to make a coffee.I visited a lot of times here but not satisfied with their service and the job experience.

Very kind and responsible staff. Even chased out teenagers that were stealing from the store.

Took my order then just forgot , chatted to friends , served some regulars , when I asked about my drink they just put it on the counter no apology nothing , just served everyone else

Easily accessible hot beverage and food establishment. Straight forward, easy ordering and quick service.

I am getting to be a regular now at Pret A Manger.

I came just before closing, so I just had a nice coffee. The people were friendly.

This used to be my favourite Pret - lots of seating etc. However recently it has gone downhill. Bonuses: barista with attitude and wilted lettuce in the cheese toasties.

Could have a better selection of food

Staff is great, location is kept clean, relaxing vibe, plenty of options and a lot of space to sit with different set ups (5* in my opinion) But the Coffee, the coffee is quite bad (avoid ordering soy flat whites, weird syrupy flavour and aftertaste)

It’s impressive that this Pret A Manger closest to the Barbican Centre and on the City fringes opens as early as 7am weekdays and 8am weekends. I was on my way to a viewing of an art collection in a nearby law firm.and stopped by for an espresso and a sausage roll which is a relatively new addition to their breakfast range. It is described as “meaty’ although I have not yet seen any. Vegetarian equivalent made with tofu or even hot air. It nicely complimented yoghurts and fruit pastries later available at the law firm so good they were probably emanated from Pret A Manger too.

My favourite Pret in all the land! Always great service and the staff are super friendly, Abdul in particular. His positivity is so infectious that I always leave that little bit happier 😊 (and with good coffee!) thanks!

I use it because it's close to my office. Staff dis- interested and please and thank you are offered only occasionally

April update. They are open again ! Plenty of socially distanced space outside. Loving the subscription , don't forget 6 only inside and the back is only EXIT ! For Covid one way system

My favourit pret so far, cozy corners and lots of choice

One of the most disorganised prets I've been to. One staff behind counter serving (and answering phone). Left waiting for ages. Queue getting longer. Didn't seem in a rush to serve. About 5 other members of staff sitting in the restaurant on break. Place was also manky and grubby.

Very untidy, only one person on the till (supervisor), was on the phone on arrival, then the barista continued to clean. Ignoring the building queue toilets dirty and covered in water, the till situation it not improve the whole time of my visit (just before lunch) Definitely wouldn't recommend

Typically efficient and excellent quality, but given its location and popularity this place is too small at peak times.

It is all cash and it os not very convenient

Only wooden forks.. not good if you have a sensory sensitivity to wood, so until they start doing keto sarnies OR have metal cutlery for eating in, i guess im not eating at Pret! Great for CO2 and saving the world though!

Used to be great but new staff are unfortunately not trained to be polite or pay attention. Too many mistakes the last few months. Don't go here as often as I used to.

Nice place, fast service and delicious food

Nice branch of Pret with plenty of seating and next to the supermarket. Ideal to have a coffee and planning the weekend shopping. The barista and staff on the weekend are really nice and kind so extra kudos to them!

Good outlet in London. Best of the lot for vegan or veggie food.

Food you get is what you see in other Pret stores - can't complain about it. However, the service was pathetic today. The lady who served me was too busy chatting with her friend behind her to even hand over a tissue to go with my lunch. They should keep them over at the self serve counter if they are so detached with the job.

Been here several times, excellent staff. Today (28 May 2019, 11:50 am) was an exception. Magdalena's service was poor. No hint of any smile, or even a slight welcome. Abrupt. This stood out because it compared badlywith previous positive experiences at this branch.

The selection is not broad, but fresh and delicious. The prices are not cheap, but fair.

Very roode staff and food is overpriced not going there again it wasn't to my liking. I don't reccomend this pret

the food is the standard pret affair but the toilets are disgusting. it looks like the have never been cleaned

This place turns into a noisy crèche around 4pm, with idle parents playing with their mobile phones while overexcited, sugared-up infants prance around annoying anyone stupid enough to want to use the coffee shop as a coffee shop.

I've been to a few prets and this is definitely one of them.

Nice place to sit for a coffee and not hurried out

One reviewer said you know what you're getting with all Prets. Actually that's not true. You'd think all Pret branches would have some standard minimum level of service but not this one. All the other pret chains, I would find at least a good stock of porridge around 10:30am. This one runs out consistently at 10AM - I've been to this branch for breakfast at least 3 times only to find they've 'run out' of porridge. Given that breakfast *officially* ends at 11am (I know because I've done assessments for other Pret branches before), do you not think to stock up the levels until breakfast time is over? Incredulously, when I raised this issue with the staff, I just got laughed in the face and they didn't take this seriously (yeah, I know it's funny because it's porridge). I also checked the hot counter, there literally was just 2 bacon buns, and 1 sausage/egg pot left at 10:30am - not great for a veggie like me. This branch also had a massive fly problem a couple years ago, 1 year later I returned, flies were still there. Don't sit near the toilets if you don't want the flies to fight you for your sandwich. Standard Pretty with efficient service but the usual standardised fare. Pretty much out of luck if you want an old fashioned bacon roll or white bread There is a toilet which like the shop is kept clean

It seems fresh and new and full of energy. The staff were exceptional. One tall young guy was helping all his colleagues on his break with a ready smile. I wanted to poach him. A cheerful kind young lady must have wondered why I was staring at them all . She made extra effort to make me welcome. I wad just admiring them all. Great place. Great team. great coffee and carrot juice. Thank you

Great lunch spot. Good range of quality food, bit expensive, but it's central London, and really busy.
