Attended a family birthday party here recently and the pub was cosy with a lovely fire and nice ambiance. Staff were friendly. We were in the room beyond the bar for the party meal. All was good until the meals were served and there were lots of people that finished their meals before my partner and I even got ours, and when we did, the food was really, really salty, I could not eat my dinner at all! I am not one to complain re meals but I need to advise that chefs/cooks need to taste food before it if served, and please, please do not add so much salt into the dishes. People can add salt to their taste but cannot take it out if it is already in! I realise catering for a large party is challenging, but, that is the industry and needs to be managed.

Awful in almost every respect.Sign saying to wait here to be seated but no staff. Interminable wait for service and at one point everyone in the restaurant had finished eating but nobody was clearing tables. Several people appeared to receive the wrong order or returned theirs for unknown reasons. Bland, microwaved food and very small portions. No sign of the steaks advertised outside! There have to be better places than this to eat in Stevenage.

Called in on a Sunday lunch time having not booked and was shown to a table by Catherine who proceeded to give us time to look at the menu and supplied us with chilled water. Catherine was very attentive without being pushy, very professional and extremely polite. Would we go again ? Absolutely without question. 5*

Costa Coffee in Stevenage Town Centre is a great spot to relax and enjoy a good coffee. The staff are always friendly and provide quick, efficient service. The atmosphere is cozy and clean—perfect for a catch-up with friends or a quiet break. Drinks are consistently well made, and there’s a nice selection of snacks and treats. Always a pleasant visit!

So I left my dog outside, went in, ordered my coffee, and then asked for a Puppaccino. One of the staff asked where my dog was. When I told her he was outside, she mentioned I could bring him in, which was wonderful. He got a lot of fuss from the staff and other customers, so they completely made our morning.

So prefer the old cafe because it felt like a cosy large living room with the sofas and service was great then, could watch people shopping and relax in a lovely atmosphere ,we used to look forward to visiting. Not any more, won’t be returning any time soon, Went to the new cafe today it was very uninviting, seating just basic, food took ages and was cold, staff rushed off their feet. Could tell by the amount of food left on the plates on the tables that it wasn’t very good 😌

Waited ages and the queue (which was out the door and almost into the car park) barely moved. Multiple customers were complaining. They only had one till to serve everyone. After waiting for about 15 minutes and only getting from the door to the counter (about 2 metres) I left (a customer said 'I don't blame you' as I walked past), went to M&S and got a nice drink and a pastry within minutes.

I have now been given a date for keyhole surgery. I am awaiting full confirmation of the proposed date. Surgery for me is the preferred option and it will be so good once I’ve been through convalescence after surgery. So grateful to all the hospital staff who I’ve come into contact with. The Lister Hospital Stevenage is a first class hospital in my considered opinion, and long May it remain so

Appalling attitude not the first time been asked if I had paid an extra 55p for a latte. I have witnessed others being asked and the blonde woman even stood behind me once when I was using the machine. Even if you purchase a £1 meal deal with refills the milk used is far more than a latte if you use the jug. Commmon sense tells me they should not put their customers through this for the sake of a ridiculous policy especially when we spend money in the store every week. Now I will go elsewhere and tell as many people as possible.
