Another update with a new visit - 03/12/24. All members of staff- extremely friendly. Dishes - sooo tasty and full of flavour. We tried some of the Christmas specials. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back. Great atmosphere. This restaurant is amazing, the support they offer the local community is also fantastic and I'm proud to visit and support them.. Updated update 🤣 12/06/24 We went last night and we tried 3 new dishes on the menu, tiger prawns, salmon and chicken, chorizo and halloumi skewers, along with our normal faves here. The food is extremely tasty, packs a punch with flavours. Cannot wait to head back and add a couple of cocktails to the mix. Xx Update - 30th June 2023. Revisited this evening. Dreadful. Couldn’t get hold of restaurant to confirm timings etc / couldn’t even cancel order when it was half an hour late. Serious lack of communication. Not impressed.

Stopped in for lunch. Amazing vegetarian options and huge portions. Quick service and friendly staff. The vegetable kebab is full of flavour and texture, with generous helpings of yogurt and chilli sauce which the staff will happily top up if needed. Flat bread is amazing.

There were four of us visiting on a weekday, we spent a total of £45.38 for one main dish each, one dessert (that we split four ways) and one soft drink each. Neither of us is a Korean food aficionado, but we give it four stars across the board, because the portions, in our opinion, were a bit too small for the price that was being charged, and the dessert menu was lackluster (out of four desserts listed, two were out of stock). However, what we did have was tasty and the servers (though not very experienced) were enthusiastic about their jobs. So to summarise, it's worth visiting once, just so that you have experienced what the Korean food its like at Gang Nam Restaurant, so we don't regret going, but we saw no real reason to be returning our custom.

Service was really attentive and polite, Food was delicious and fast to arrive. Wanted something slightly different to the menu and was no problem at all, really good value for money food was delicious and inexpensive ! Never been before but would 100% recomend little hidden gem!

Lovely service and great food. I had the mixed lamb dish and salad which was very tasty and filling. I will definitely visit here again when I’m back in Stevenage!

I highly recommend the Sunday roasts: both half chicken and the nut roasts were delicious and huge. The service was excellent and the staff really friendly. We will definitely go back.

My friend both had the Salmon Risotto which was dreadful. There was a piece of tasteless salmon sitting on top of the rice which was sludgy and equally tasteless, really disgusting. We were offered a free dessert as compensation but the choice was pretty poor so we didn't bother. They knocked a few pounds off the bill. The waiter was very pleasant but I won't be going there again.

Ordered cod roe chips and a battered sausage which was enemic batter was under cooked. Cod Roe was soggy under cooked and an inedible mess. Chips were obviously pre cooked and reheated . Won't be visiting this chippy again . Poplars is much better quality all round. (Picture proof attached)

Rice very dry bhaji very hard Sag paneer nice small portions would normally be enough for 2 the following day Have used Surma for many years and Got extremely expensive nearly £40 Not value for money disappointed

Lovely grub, with plenty of food choice. It all came up nice and hot. Looking forward to another visit.

Very good service I had the chicken burger who was the best burger ever. I recommend it to anyone Just visit on Friday for the karaoke night and have some drinks

This place is a go to for dinners if you feel like you want a perfect cuisine. Ali, my server, was a very nice man and very communicative with me and my family and he and Mahima completely uplifted our invigorating experience.

As a Previously happy customer. who brings people to, and recommends this place, frequently, I am so very Disappointed with the last few visits.... - Price increases: I understood and accepted. Expenses increase we know that. - Portion reduction... This should be instead of price increases, not as awell as, but, OK - 1 visit we were brought wrong food & server told us its what they wrote down so we are both wrong not them!!!.... Not impressed, but we had cinema booked so ate it anyway. Another Tiime: - we booked a table and manager just gestured vaguely towards some empty tables at far end of room. "There are some empty tables over there"... Poor Service. - My Female guest was then handed menu and told "take this" with her to the table. Unacceptable! .... he then turned away and started talking to next customers. I really hope this was just a few "off days", and this kind of poor service doesnt spread to the rest of the staff, who have always been happy, attentive and fgiven great service with a smile even on the busiest nights. Good service is important when you are paying to eat out! There are many options for quality food now, so good service is ESSENTIAL if you want to keep customers coming back.
