Great food & service every time, great for a pub meal & good value on the food (2 meals for around £10-£11)

First time visiting the pied piper, food was great for the price and the staff were all friendly. Played a few games of pool and met some nice people. I would definitely recommend a visit and i will be returning again.

I had googled good Sunday lunch as wasn’t from the area , and the pied piper came up. We also wanted a sorts pub and so this fit the bill. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left was so amazing. From Michelle welcoming and lovely, to the regular’s welcoming us, and the amazing Sunday roast prepared by Ian and staff, we absolutely loved our visit. Would highly recommend. Thankyou to everyone.

The pubs ok it does need a refurbishment and there is definitely a drug problem with lads in and out the toilets doing god knows what, it's quite shocking considering its a family pub, I wouldn't bring children there to be honest. All staff members except Ian are friendly and chatty

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the staff at the pied piper in Stevenage. I went for lunch with my family yesterday and the service was amazing as well as the food. Will definitely be going back soon

Not sure what's happened, but used to be a lovely pub to take the family, enjoy a meal and watch the footy. Garden was great for kids. No food served on bank Holidays 😕 cocaine on the ledges of ladies toilets and the fire exits chained up. Big screen hasn't worked for months for football. My dinner plate was sat on my table nearly 3 hours after finishing. Such a shame its gone so downhill. Not the atmosphere it used to be, not the pub it used to be.

Got seated by a lovely host named Katie I believe, she was very helpful and had a great knowledge of the menu and any questions we asked, I didn’t get the name of our server but my partner and I shared the mega cheesy nachos with all the toppings, delicious, again everything was great with our mains with adequate check backs to make sure we was happy with everything and had enough drinks. I will defiantly come here again and will recommend it highly

Went in with my son for dinner food was delicious good menu my son enjoyed the slush puppies and ice cream and a game of pool

Food is good and good prices. We come here alot but recently they've started allowing dogs to roam around and come up to your table whilst your eating. I told the woman behind the bar that my children were scared of dogs and she said she would keep it away from us. It came over every 10 minutes and kept trying to get under the table to get near my kids. Put the dog on a leash or keep it outside!!

I just bought a build your own burger. I can honestly say this burger is one of the best burgers i have tasted in a very long time. Really juicy and tasty. Staff were really friendly and the vibe was great inside. Sorry no picture, when i saw the burger i could not waste time in eating it. 🙏

Great local venue and friendly staff

I've come here for my first time and I am sure I'll be back. We tried their burgers and the meat was amazing! Their fries were really good too. The atmosphere was also nice. The service was OK, but it could be better. We ordered through the app and the food came before the drinks so we had to go and ask for them. I guess they are more used to orders at the bar than the app. The guy who poured our drinks was very kind and apologise for it. Another reason I gave for stars to service is because we asked for Ketchup and it never came. It's true that we were a bit shy and didn't want to ask again for it so we just ate our burgers and fries without it. Overall, nice place with great burgers!

Not the first time we have eaten at the Piper. Never disappoints, its always fresh, tasty and delicious. Staff are always helpful, courteous and pleasant. Love the place and enjoy visiting a couple of times a week. One of the best pubs in Stevenage and real value for money! (Thanks Emma, it was spot on)

We have visited this pub on a few occasions but never eaten in it. Today we decided to have the Sunday roast (turkey) absolutely Devine it was home from home food at half the price. Great chef and great staff. Thank you.

We have Seniors' Lunch here regularly - such good value and food is excellent. Barmaid (sorry, don't know her name) is lovely and very efficient and friendly. Altogether a great little pub!!

Yong girl behind the bar is so rude ! Will only serve regulars over everyone else . When u say something she gets angry and gives u attitude! Sake the mouth girl !

Went here for an 80th party, the food was great and plentiful. We had an area to ourselves and the staff were brilliant, a big thank you.

Another excellent visit caught up with some of my old neighbours the seniors menu is great value for money and the food we were served could not be faulted how i wish i lived closer to Stevenage

This is the second time we have had a small friends and family gathering here after funerals. Everything was great, it was ideal for our needs, although quite large there was areas where we could sit and reminisce & chat. Best cup of tea I have had away from home in a long while. There was a lovely atmosphere, the staff was friendly and nothing too much trouble. The buffet food was plentiful, varied and good. Thank you

Only pub in stevenage I eat at . Very friendly pub , food always good and never so busy that you have to wait to be served . Highly recommended

Visited The Pied Piper several months ago and have now been back on numerous occasions with my Daughter and Grandchildren, who insist on returning due to their wonderful Sunday Roast, plenty on the plate and all very reasonably priced. As if this wasn't enough, the smiling faces and warm welcome we have received, has always been one of the many reasons we shall continue to frequent The Pied Piper. Special thanks to Kaye, along with her dedicated staff for always going that extra mile to please everyone, A great job kaye. so well done. Rob Turner

Really like this pub, food is good, great value, nice atmosphere staff are great, Kate served us today and she is always welcoming. Becoming a regular visitor.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the service was very good. The drinks were reasonably priced and were very nice. They accommodated a large group of us very well. Will definitely be going back

Had a really lovely time here for our Christmas dinner. The staff were very nice and could not do enough for us. The meal was well cooked and the portions were large. Would recommend this pub to anyone.

Staff are friendly and helpful. And really reasonable prices. Food is really nice and fresh and the portion sizes are very good. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again soon.

Great friendly team, all very welcoming. They continue to work hard to provide amazing service to the customers and the food is delicious thanks to the hardworking chefs in the kitchen, especially in this harsh heat. Definitely recommend for any families, friends, couples or even on your own to go visit the piper as all are welcomed.

Decent drinks at reasonable prices, had the scampi and chips with mushy peas and it was delicious, barely able to stop myself licking the plate. Was nice to catch up with Sharon. Need to visit more often.

Fantastic wee pub! Drove down from Scotland & parked out back for Liam gallacher gig, Staff were very welcoming. Great selection of drinks and food was lovely too. & back area is a sun trap loved it!

The food was amazing. I had fish & chips. It was served beautifully, and was hot and tasty. Service was quick, and very polite. If you haven’t visited yet do so they menu is varied and very reasonable.

The landlady is very rude to her customers. Abusive bad language towards her customers will no longer visit this pub.

We popped in Wednesday evening to sample the new menu which offered a huge variety of very reasonably priced meals.There were also lots of promotions available.The bar staff were friendly and attentive.The piped music offered a variety of tunes and gave a good vibe.The food arrived on time, piping hot and everything was very well cooked and tasted delicious. The chef is a long standing employee and a credit to this establishment. We would recommend a visit for food and drink.

Sharron is the biggest of g’s. man like becks works so hard and is the best worker ever. All the staff are so polite and the atmosphere is amazing. Proper football pub and everyone there is so friendly. Host some great evens with Geoff and really like getting to know their regulars. THE BEST PUB IN STEVENAGE. Can’t go wrong here really

I’ve been using the pied piper sporadically for the last 20 years.Most recently was to watch England in the Euro 2020 knockout stages.I was so impressed with Sharon, she has got the staff working like clockwork, never having to wait for a drink, the food was out quick, hot, delicious and the atmosphere was electric! Brilliant food and really good value. Amazing service from Claire. There was a little mishap with an umbrella in the pub garden but she reacted straight away to get it changed. All in all a wonderful visit.

My friends and I have always picked the Pied Piper to go and watch sporting events. This past year has been hard for a lot of people and businesses. When we found out that Sharon and the team were open again we couldn’t wait to go and visit!! We have been up there for every England game so far and they have made it amazing!! Whilst sticking to the restrictions they still made it a fun place to be! Can’t wait to celebrate the rest of euros with them all!!

I would just like to say how amazing all the staff are at this pub. Even during these tough times the land lady has still managed to make the pub a fun place to go. Very rude land lady, shocking attitude towards certain consumers. Staff seemingly not following covid rules doing shots at the bar with masks down. One rule for them one for another. They should bulldoze this place down its gone so downhill

Myself and my partner have recently moved to the area. We decided to check out the local and what a great surprise. The staff are welcoming the customers made us feel welcome and the manager is a real gem we really feel like we belong to a community. We have been a few times now and really look forward to popping in for a few drinks and something to eat when we have been working late. Keep up the good work and see you all soon.

Popped in on sunday for the game and what a fab day we had. The place is a gem for sport and the management and staff sure know how to make us enjoy our day will deffo be back and recommend the piper.

Have been coming to the Pied Piper for quite some time now and never have a bad visit. The staff are always warm and friendly, prices are very reasonable and the few times we have eaten there the food has been terrific. Had a great weekend watching Soulman and celebrating Halloween. Great community atmosphere as staff take a great deal of interest in the patrons and regulars. Always look forward to our next visit!

What a great early afternoon/ evening we have had. The girls behind the bar was very friendly and we didn’t have to wait a very long for food either. We had some amazing burgers and the it was good value for money. I would definitely return again

Slow service today was blanked by member of bar staff at the bar while their family queue jumped I expect to be in line to be served not have to take a back seat

We used to come here regularly for a few drinks before but now some new staff are there and we got to know the manager sharon who is very rude. We put 50p in the duke box and told her we think its not working as its not playing music she tells us its because at 12am it doesnt work i told her its before 12 so she goes and tries it and it doesnt work. Instead of just apologising giving us back the money and moving on we got a whole lot of abuse from the bar staff swearing and shouting at us. I couldnt believe it. She did not handle the situation well over 50p in a music machine thing. Never coming in here again. They forget they need us customers more than we need that 50p. Avoid this pub theres better ones around without rude staff and managers.

We have been here several times and every time we have had great food and it is a great price. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help.

They all seem to know each other in here, felt like an intruder with the amount of heads turning to look my way! Not the kind of place you'd bring your visiting relatives to for a meal or a drink.

Visited this pub with my two kids and hubby. Despite location in a busy, residential area I wouldn't recommend this place for families with kids as it is way too loud and way too puby.

I went with my daughter for a lunch treat. Full of idiotic drunk men shouting and swearing at 1pm! Avoid with family. Food was overdone but fine. Service very good.
