Costa Coffee in Stevenage

Great Service and friendly by Hanna. Since the new manager Hanna took over the coffee shop is more organised and clean .

I visited the Costa Coffee on the Roaring Meg Retail Park at around lunch time. The cafe was quite busy and I could only see three members of staff working. There was a bit of a queue to be served. One person was taking orders, another was making drinks and the third person was collecting dirty crockery. It's a shame as the person who served me was very polite but seemed under pressure to get people served as fast as possible. More staff required!

Great coffee heart service hot and on time ! Lady was very helpful and accommodating! Can’t wait for our next visit ! Keep up the good work

Waited 15 min in the queue to be told that we can't have ied drink becuse ice machine is broken, sign on the door would save me time !

Fabulous staff and great atmosphere. I often order through the app in the week so I can take my coffee on my travels with work, today my coffee was delivered straight to me as I walked through the door! I often sit in for drinks and most of the staff know my order!

Always so slow. And not good service really bad. Going downhill. Feels stressful just queuing up. 15 mins of queuing really???

Went today with my uncle, to get a drink had a massive line and all the tables were blocked by other tables, indicating we can’t use them! I talk on the phone and asked why was that, the response was “Half the team had to self isolate, so takeaway drinks were the only option” My first thought was Why? Why would you still open if staff had to isolate! It should've been closed for the day, instead of endangering others. Not at tall happy with what I experienced today, wish Debenhams Costa was still around

Lovely visit. Sat outside. I had the berry cooler ice drink and it was delicious, will definitely have it again! Service was good, staff were friendly and efficient. Choice of inside and outside seating. Good selection of drinks and snacks.

Me and a friend went to Costa to complete some work when we arrived it was quite busy. We finally seated at a table which hadn't been cleaned which was unpleasant.The staff were friendly and chatty.

Called in for a quick coffee on a Friday afternoon. Fairly quick service with friendly staff. The drinks were good, hot and tasty. The place was very busy and a little messy but this was only to be expected as it was full . Still a good place.

Called in as it was a nice day and there is plenty of outside seating. The coffees were as good as usual , I also had a piece of choc chip shortbread , this was really good. Service was fairly quick which is a real bonus as in the town it can be a long wait. All in all a good experience, I just hope the stories about the chain treating their staff poorly are false as I may have to switch brands. Shame as they are a lot better than Starbucks.

This is my favourite Costa. I go every morning, they know my name and my order. Bella and Kieron in particular are very friendly , super efficient and professional. They make my morning. They are an asset to Costa.

I come to this costa every Friday with my husband and sister and we get such a lovely welcoming and I really want to say that Virag, Jordon and Zosia really stand out they are all so happy always have a smile on there face and they can’t do enough for you they all know what drinks we have which I think is lovely thank you guys for making our Fridays so lovely and relaxing.

Broxbourne, Herts coffee shop Flat whites are the best in the area. Staff very friendly. Local parking

Busy place and sometimes 5-6 people waiting. But its worth it. Usual good coffee with really friendly staff. All knowing very well what to do. A real pleasure watching them. Plus point also: good parking options

not a bad place. inside looks nice, staff are reasonably friendly people. good coffee and lots of room to sit down and enjoy it. not many improvements needed. one of them being the toilet was in a bit of a state, but i'm sure this was just a one time occurrence

Unfortunately when we went there was nothing gluten free for me to eat, this happens alot, but I had a drink of latte as I did not want family to miss out, they all enjoyed their food and drink, staff were friendly

Seems to be common theme for Costas recently , where they are seemingly short of staff.

Not sure who designed this costa, it always busy and the counter Q goes out the door or doubles in from of the counter.

Dirty Tables, rude staff, warm coffee even when asked for extra hot. There are other Costa's around which are better - the staff really need to get clearing tables on a regular basis

Weak latte, weak hot chocolate. Costa is at the bottom of my coffee shop list now. DID have vegan Christmas cake though......

Visited this Costa again for what will be the last time. No matter what time of day you visit you have to queue for 10+ minuets to order.

The guys and girls serving are fantastic they have a rhythm going..... i sqe the young lad serve 6 hot drinks it took the blonde manager to make mine and my husband's frostinos she seems to thunk ahe needs to act superior but the staff where doing fine and infact she was homding things up. ....ridiculous my husband had been sat at the table a good 10 mins with my son. Won't be coming here again

Have coffeed here many times and while busy the coffee and snacks have been tasty and reliable. However today was a shambles - such a shame... Staff were at fault, watch out or Debenhams will take all the trade.

Visited lunchtime on Monday October 30th to be met with very slow service even though it was not busy. Coffee provided was not that ordered, bacon rolls were cold, tables and floor were uncleared and there were no serviettes. What is going on? Silly rhetorical question -- answer obviously not much!

Visited today it wayvey busy but plenty of staff they served people slowly I waited 15 minutes to order for a coffee many people walked out. Tables and seating full of crockery and dirty. Need direction.

Wow not sure what has happened here, very dirty, food on carpets and not one clean table, may be busy but no excuse, environment health would shut them down. Staff friendly. Needs a major deep clean, no toilet paper and dirty. Manager needs some re training . Used to be very good.

We visit Costa regularly and the best thing there generally is the staff and paninis. I had toast this time and the seeded bread was quite enjoyable.it would be nice if more salads were on sale and more optimis of Fruit teas. Again the staff are great Especially Larenzo and little Matt in the old town and Leigh at the Roaring Meg Costa

Ordered a takeaway decaf caramel latte which to be honest tasted like they'd just reused an old shot of regular. Piss poor. I order these everyday but not from here and there always consistently delicious. I shan't be ordering from this one again.

It used to have a cosy feel to it but is now more an in/out place.I still go for my fix but wish to be honest it would return to a nice coffee place to meet and chat.

At we entered we were greeted but a display of cakes and cold drinks. The staff seemed friendly, but we stood there waiting to be served for ages and the lady behind the counter just stared at us. Didn't tell us that we were in front of the wrong till she waited for us to work it out.The were very quick in making the drinksJust to say if you order a large of anything you will get a "bucket" like thing.The plate that I got wasn't clean it was dirty. I had to pick the remnants of the previous food off of the place before I put my drink on it.

This location is always mega busy no matter what time of the day, queue is always out of the doors, not enough seating, best to takeaway. Feel sorry for the poor staff always trying to cope with a never ending queue, could do with another Costa in this location to share the work load.

Cant understand why this place is so expensive. Coffee is always lukewarm too. I can make a better one at home!

We had lunch here yesterday , we both love Costa so this was a good choice as the parking is nice and easy. A big plus. The staff were welcoming, efficient and helpful. Sadly not too much in the way of paninis or sandwiches as the delivery did not arrive. It came early afternoon. As always the coffee was wonderful, salmon and cream cheese sandwich was nice. We sat in a window seat and noted a lady with a small "child" on her shoulder, next time I looked she had a days old kitten she was feeding. Not only was there one kitten a push chair next to the lady was home to a few more. The staff were made aware and had a word. She left a long time after being asked to leave.I have a problem with this on many levels; it is wrong to be feeding cats in a coffee house; people with allergies to cat fur could be affected even after she has gone; If I had sat at the table after her and the table was not cleaned properly there is risk of spreading infection. It certainly has made me think about cleaning a table in Costa before I eat or drink in there.

i prefer this to the one in town, it has a more laid back feel and less cramped. the usual costa experience

Beautiful freshly made coffee, and wonderful snacks. Nothing is too much trouble. An oasis in a large shopping area.

Slow service creates long queues. Also table clearing should be faster. A destination of last resort rather than first choice.

this is a very busy Costas so sometimes difficult to get a seat, but in the nice weather it is good to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Busy and noisy, made having a conversation more of a challenge than a relaxing experience. The coffee was up to the usual standards of Costa. Lemon cake was nice and moist.

As I waited for my drink to be prepared I watched the flies landing here there and everywhere. Counted 8 large sized flies at least whilst I waited for my drink and sandwich, lost my appetite some what.

I have been there a few times to meet friends, it is best to go off peak, ie not 11am, as mums and kids, not lunch time, lunch break, and not afternoon tea time....unless you are prepared to wait a long time in the queue, and then, if you are solo, you might as well take out if busy, if you are not with an eagle eyed friend to bag seats!There are plenty of seats outside when the sun is not out if you want to smoke!

Lovely place to go as convient for parking. But it does get busy and i find myself waiting at the end of que for my drink. Staff are friendly. But sometimes on busy times the staff area behind the desk looks a little dirty than it should.
