I purchased an item which on the website stated in stock, I waited 3 days and had no update on delivery times when I called I was told the item had to come from the supplier as it was not in stock I then requested a refund for delivery which was granted, Once the item came into the shop I collected and once I got home realised it was the incorrect item (manufacturer's error) The shop then advised me to come all the way back which I did and the second item they had was also wrong (manufacturer's error) I have made multiple calls to bike stop with 2 times being told I will get a call back after speaking with a manager which did not happen. Summary: - Had to purchase temporary screen protection elsewhere loss of £15 - 2 wasted journeys Upon reading previous reviews I now understand lieing about stock is not a 1st time issue here.

MotoGirl Waterproof Trousers I purchased MotoGirl’s waterproof trousers from BikeStop and they are absolutely fabulous! I ordered my usual size and they fit perfectly over my MotoGirl leggings. They come in a compact storage bag that packs down so small that I can easily pop them in my pocket, ready for a quick deployment whenever needed. It's such a relief not to have to wear men's gear that doesn't fit well - MotoGirl caters perfectly to a woman’s shape, fitting comfortably in all the right places. The quality of these trousers is excellent and will mean I can keep riding no matter what the British winter throws our way. BikeStop’s customer service was outstanding as well. I had a minor issue with my order, but they handled it swiftly and professionally. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from them again. Highly recommended!

Bikestop arranged repairs to my leathers and gloves. I came off on a track day at over 100mph and thought my gear was a write off (2k suit). I was absolutely amazed at the service I received. New Shoei It was a pleasure to have dealt with Martin Short from initial chat on the phone to them popping into the shop. He spent ages trying to sort the correct fit and got multiple brands for me to try on until he was happy with the correct size and fit. Upon being advised my new helmet was ready for collection. he also fitted the intercom loom before I collected from the shop. Would highly recommend and will be going back. Made a nice change to be sold what I actually needed rather than be guided on which colour scheme I preferred.

Highly recommended if you live in the UK I have bought a jacket from them and even though I already knew I would have to pay taxes outside the UK. I didn't expect them to be so expensive. The delivery was super fast, but unfortunately, the box came all broken and crushed. Inside the jacket, without even a protective plastic bag or a hanger and well if you spend €600 on a jacket, the least you expect is that it at least comes well packaged in every way.

Stellar shop. Great staff: authentic, highly knowledgeable, funny and friendly. We spent almost 3 hours in there and were offered thoughtful and attentive service throughout. I would highly recommend shopping there rather than online - plus they have a sweet little cafe. A special shout-out to Cameron and James. Show those guys the love they deserve!

There was a manufacturer/stock issue with a jacket I ordered. However, Bike Stop went above and beyond and even upgraded me to a newer version of the jacket at no extra charge. Excellent customer service.

This place is brilliant - As a brand new rider, I needed quite a bit of help working out exactly what gear I would need. Shorty (Martin) helped me immensely, walking me through all the products that would suit my needs. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Contacted Martin on Monday as the rack on my Honda CB500x snapped at the weekend. Even though the shop was closed Martin answered the email, order the Givi rack I wanted, once I had paid he sent to to me. Arrived on the Saturday morning and fitted by Saturday afternoon. Excellent service

This shop has everything you need! Martin was amazing and helped me through head to toe of kitting me out. As a new rider I felt comfortable talking through what I was looking for. Whatever your budget is this shop has everything! The coffee shop is an added bonus and you can feel the sense of community that this shop and the people working in it has with it's customers. I went down to Bike Stop for a Shoei helmet and to make use of the Shoei Professional Fitting System. The guys know their stuff and they were really helpful. I'm very pleased with the service and the new helmet

'Shorty' (Martin) was very knowledgeable and helpful providing the parts needed to power my phone from the bike on a Quadlock holder. In addition, absolute hero, noticed I must have dropped an ear bud putting my helmet on, before riding off. He then rescued it from the pouring rain and messaged me that it was safe. Amazing customer service!!

Summer Jacket Purchase! I have just had my first Bike Stop experience and am pleasantly surprised by the store and staff. I was truly welcomed and had expert advice when deciding on a purchase. The staff knew the perfect balance of being attentive but also allowing me to browse alone. The store is huge (despite the external look) with numerous sections for all the motorcycle gear and accessories you could want! Im so glad this store is local to me now I have moved to Stevenage and I look forward to returning soon.

I took advantage of their Easter sale and placed multiple orders for various jackets and helmets, unsure which brand would suit me best. All orders came in good condition and well packaged. As is the case with online ordering, most didn't suit me, but I ended up making some exchanges and returning others for refunds. They offered free returns via Royal Mail, which was easy to set up and combined with the current Royal Mail free collection service, meant everything was collected from the door hassle free. The refunds were sorted quickly and I was kept updated via email. Will def look to buy from them again as and when needed, and I'm very happy with the jacket and other items I decided to keep.

Little to zero knowledge on good helmets. Trying to sell me a RUROC stating better than most brands, yet several friends have binned to them recently due to being heavy and bad wind noise. Do they care about biking or just sales? Wouldn’t bother again.

Visited to try Dainese over trousers - ended up buying a pair. My first trip was well worth it ... stock shown on web site was quickly found and I was able to try on over my leathers before the purchase. As I was heading out of the changing room met Martin who welcomed me and made sure I had everything I needed. He outlined the philosophy behind Bike Stop and 'signed me up' for the future while I was checking out. Great combination of products, knowledge and personalities!! What a great shop! I’m originally from Stevenage but now live in the USA. I flew over just to pick up some Merlin clothing and a new Arai helmet as these specific items are hard to find and more expensive stateside….(it’s also a good excuse to go out for a few beers with some old mates). BikeStops staff (Martin & Martin) are very knowledgeable, really really helpful and Martin. S even fitted the Sena comms to my new helmet! Oh….. The coffee was great too. Well worth the trip

Have purchased from Bike Stop previously but decided to go in store to try on a few new helmets as my existing helmet was a terrible fit. What a fantastic shop this is. I was promptly helped by a friendly and knowledgeable chap called Martin who assisted me with finding the correct fit helmet. The size and colour Shoei Neotec 3 I wanted wasn’t in stock but Martin sorted out getting one order for me while I had a coffee in their cafe. He also sorted out a discount for me to which was greatly appreciated. This shop is a bit out of the way for me, but from now on I will definitely use this shop in future. Follow on update…. Since visiting the shop I have made a purchase for some Rukka textiles from the website with a view to collect them, as they had a decent sale on over Easter. Ordered for collection from store as if they don’t fit I could exchange them there and then. The website states “choose any product for a delivery message” although I cannot for the life of me see any further information regarding delivery messages. I therefore presume if it is available to order, it’s in stock for immediate dispatch and if it isn’t available to order, then it’s out of stock. The website however allows you to place an order and after a few days of waiting I contact the shop to be advised that they are waiting on the items from their suppliers. No big deal although I was hoping to get the items collected before going back to work but this unfortunately isn’t going to happen. It’s also highly likely that if they don’t fit, I may have to wait even longer for the other sizes to arrive. Still worth waiting for as I saved a fair chunk of money in the Easter sale. I will still continue using the shop as they seem to have good deals from time to time, but if you need something in a hurry, I would suggest using Sportsbike Shop as they are obviously much larger and hold far more stock and can therefore get items to you the next day. This is a smaller business so expect to wait a little longer.

Brilliant place. Went there today and was assisted by Georgia, who help me gear up for my return to biking. After a period of not riding, I’d lost touch with clothing tech, brands and all the other developments. Georgia was so helpful, took time to listen to exactly what I wanted and didn’t just try to push the most expensive stuff on me. First I’d ever been here, but certainly won’t be the last. Welcoming and knowledgeable the crew helped me get sorted with jacket, helmet and jeans. Paying attention to what I actually needed and the budget I had they offered experience and advice to make sure I didn't feel overwhelmed or pressured. Definitely be coming back. Also they were great with my 5 year old which is always a bonus.

I’m very new to all things bikes and have been to many shops and not one has made me feel anywhere near as welcoming and comfortable as when I visited yesterday. I have been to some shops where women have advised me on outerwear but honestly, none were a patch on the lovely chap yesterday. Martin sourced me a large Arai Dark Citizen, the last one at Arai UK. Arrived the following day for collection, always happy with the service & have been buying every piece of kit imaginable for the past 12 years here, Highly recommend Bike Stop & their exceptional staff.

Recently passed my test and needed to get kitted out with full protection was recommended by a friend told the staff my budget and they managed to get under my budget I didn't get the guys name but he was really helpful in assisting me

I recently purchased a Rukka Rimo-R jacket. Initially Martin Short was dealing with me and trying to obtain a non UK colour, Martin asked Boss Man Martin if it was possible, he believed it was. Sadly it was taking so long I chose the UK colours and all the Rukka Armour. Very satisfied with Jacket and as always excellent Service from Martin Short and the Boss man, who price matched sportsbike.co.uk for Me. Good shop, plenty of bike wear, jackets, helmets, gloves and boots. Have a nice little cafe here too which makes my daughter happy to have a hot chocolate. Have dealt with Martin and Cameron often, who are always willing to advise on gear, or offer guidance which is helpful for a new rider such as myself, and if not for these two I may have given up the 2 wheel dream. After six months of trying boots at more local stores and MCN Live, time to travel further and go to the experts. Shorty’s expertise led me to Daytona Road Stars in a wide fit. Quickly ordered some sizes to try in store and they fit like a glove. Amazing service!

Bike Stop is quaint from the outside but expansive when you go in; they keep comprehensive stock of gear from different brands, and anything not there can be ordered in-store. All the staff here are great - both Martins were genuine and happy to answer any questions I had. Will be returning no doubt.

Visited Bike Stop for the first time today as returning to motorcycling after a long break. Was served by Cameron who was exceptionally helpful. He took the time to ask me about my needs and understand what type of biking I would be doing. Using his obvious extensive knowledge he was able to offer various options that would suit my needs and also checked fit, comfort etc. I was able to get my new helmet and gloves and very happy with the purchase. No pushy sales here! Good honest advice and no problems getting suitable gear due to a great range of items in stock. Feel lucky to have such a well stocked shop with great staff local to me. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend BIke Stop.

Where do I start with BikeStop? I took my first trip over to Bike Stop yesterday, upon realising they are only 15 minutes up the road from me. The coffee was great, the Sausage Toastie even better. I met all of the team during my 2-3 hours there and most of them introduced themselves by name and asked mine - a nice personal touch. Martin made a point of introducing himself properly and explaining the services they offer on site - in short, no ask is too much for them here. They price match, they tailor clothing and they deliver to your door if your purchase is too large to ride home with. Today I popped back for breakfast at opening (stayed until they closed ant 1) and was greeted by the same friendly team and some of the regulars who had also been in yesterday. As an indecisive buyer, Cameron and Martin must have shown me half of the jackets in store by the time I’d finished asking questions, both very helpful. I rode away with a nice new Belstaff Crosby, a back protector and a Belstaff down layering jacket, all at a very reasonable price, given the sale prices. Would recommend the cafe and shop to any biker (dedicated parking out front). I’ll be back again in no time, I imagine regularly, and look forward to some Ride-outs through the spring!

Friendly, helpful and patient staff. Always a good selection of kit at different price ranges. Coffee shop at weekends is a plus. Parking can be a pain-travel by bike if possible, as car spaces are often hard to find. Highly recommended.

Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Lots of good quality stock. The toasted sandwiches are good and I had an excellent pot of tea.

I usually use an online retailer that has a few stores as it’s quick and convenient. However I needed something last minute and used these guys. Great service and provided there opinion on the products, the great service came when I had an issue with the product, emailed in and Martin/Cameron were great in resolving it. Morale of the story is that I will now use these guys rather than SBS purely for the service.

Good shop with a bunch of good gear. I didn't buy anything as I was just nosing around and couldn't make up my mind but I overheard some of the staff helping guys with helmets and jackets etc... and it was good to see knowledgeable ppl on hand to help. There were about 4 staff there!! Which is so refreshing as everywhere in the UK seems to be moving to online and self service. Worth popping in and trying gear ti get exactly what you need.

My first visit to to Bike Stop. It's located in the old part of Stevenage in the middle of a high street. There is specific motorcycle parking but there's also parking all along the shop fronts. The shop downstairs is small but upstairs makes up for it. A whole range of quality clothing is on display as well as a small selection of accessories. On my visit I found the staff to be very polite, friendly and chatty. The shop has a cafe with seating inside and out.. and yes they have a selection of cakes :) So that alone makes it a must! As I said, they stock quality clothing so bring a fat wallet. They also have an online store in case it's raining and you can't stand the thought of getting your precious ride wet.

There is always a warm welcome and a fabulous coffee at bike stop regardless of whether you are a biker, like to have a look and a chat or are just passing by - consistent quality cakes, reasonable price and lovely people. The customers are always friendly it’s more like dropping into a friends for coffee than a shop.

This is an honest little cafe serving proper coffee in the Old Town Stevenage, opposite Costa ..Don't be put off if you are not a biker, it's a friendly place, as the chalkboard says , all are welcome & that's my exp. . Also lovely cakes and panini too.

Went to Bike Stop on Sat Morning early looking for some denim jeans with protection in them. I was dealt with by Cameron who could not have done any more to help me make the right choice, even said if I was not happy I could take back within a year, I love this shop and well done to Cameron and the food was very nice too. They were very busy as there was a demo of electric bikes going on as well. Well done all. Great shop great service

Nice vibe with friendly staff. It was my second visit and decided to explore the large upstairs clothing and Helmets area. They've got some nice stuff in stock albeit a little rich for my pocket. Was a bit dismayed that they were clearly upset that I was looking at their Helmets without a member of staff to chaperone me. I've never been to a store where this was the expectation before. Maybe I'm old fashioned? I don't think I looked like I might steal one, I dunno. I didn't buy anything in the end, felt a little bit, erm... Put off.

Called in to buy a new jacket yesterday. Pierre and the other staff there were super helpful and friendly. Pierre was so helpful and ensured that I went away with exactly the right jacket for me. They all clearly know what they're talking about and I can't recommend them highly enough!

Excellent advice and service from Fabrizio. Went in to look at waterproof boots and a leather jacket and was recommended Dainese goretex boots at a decent price and great fit. Leather jackets again tried a few on and ended up purchasing a lovely Richa jacket. Would thoroughly recommend visiting this shop for the fantastic selection of products and advice from motorcycle enthusiasts.
