Lovely place, delicious food, attentive staff and great atmosphere!!!

Excellent food at very affordable prices, the bibimbap is particularly great! Staff are always friendly and attentive. I whole heartedly recommend!

Lovely family run restaurant serving tasty Korean food. The owner and others serving are all very warm and friendly. The atmosphere lends to the authenticity and all very comfortable. Already looking forward to come back soon!

This is a hidden gem. Food is unusual in a nice way, always tasty and the staff a very nice. Do not think this is chinese like, the attraction to me is that it is oriental, but not what you see in every high street.

Was a bit quiet but honestly who could complain, amazing food and service was stellar, served very quickly and food came out just as quick, couldn’t recommend it enough!

I don’t know why this place has such good reviews for the life of me. Food is bland and overpriced for what it is.

We often visit this restaurant but this time we took a party of nine people. They were dubious, to say the least. However, as always, we had a good time and everyone enjoyed the evening very much. As they all said afterwards, the food was delicious and nicely presented; the restaurant was welcoming with friendly. helpful staff. They all want to go again! What better recommendation could there be?

A delicious meal, in a modest, friendly restaurant with a family run feel. The dumplings and seafood pancake were light and really tasty. We had duck, salmon and spicy pork bibimbap - all great but duck was our favourite. Waiting staff were welcoming and the chef very kindly gifted our children a dessert each. The orange cake was the lightest we’ve eaten and although I’m not normally a mochi fan, they were a hit too! Lovely food - highly recommended,

Very odd. Rang to make an order for collection and was told too busy, asked if that was them saying no and they said “no” and put the phone down.

Visited this restaurant recently. Food was really good! Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Had a lovely young serving us. Seemed shy but pleasant. To whom I presume is the owner. She also made sure we were welcomed and looked after. Definitely worth a visit. The desert was soooooo good too. It was the days special, a cake.

Great food amazing staff nice atmosphere

This was really good. The parking was easy. It was neither empty nor rammed on a Saturday night. The service was good and the food was good. We could have done with a few more pudding choices but there were good ones. I should also recommend the pobble drinks, that I managed not to photograph. I had chocolate with lychee balls and strawberry with mango balls. The first was better but both were good. I'd go again and next time probably have the stew thing in the hot couldren with the noodles in it that the lady to my left had, that looked particularly nice.

Really lovely food! I had the spicy pork Bibimbap as recommended by the hostess and my brother had the Salmon Bibimbap. I would recommend ordering a side of kimchi to add to the bibimbap to up the taste factor but otherwise it was just a perfect balance of rice, meat and veggies. Honestly also don’t need to order a starter as the Bibimbap was very fulfilling. I also enjoyed a cup of the ginseng tea. Finally we split the chocolate mochi. And OMG! Do not miss this desert! Def home-made and perfect chew to chocolate ratio. Yes, service is a bit slow but I was sat at a table near the kitchen and it takes time to prepare food that tastes so good! So just spend the time chatting and catching up with your dining companions but don’t miss a meal at this hidden gem in Stevenge

We had the Salmon and spicy pork bibimbap(s). Both were awesome. The ginseng tea had a slight delightful flavour of caramel which was an unexpected surprise.

The value for food is great. It feels very authentic, but the drinks drinks needs updating.

Great food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Ordered the seared salmon and Hot stone steak which was beautiful cooked and tasted delicious. The House wine is very reasonable and priced at £13! Service was efficient and friendly. Only comment to make would be to keep up the stock of Gluten free soy sauce.

Incredible food. This place is better than most of the places I've been to in London without the fancy over the top interiors. The staff / owners are also lovely and really welcoming. One downside is we're just outside of their catchment area for delivery!

Ordered food. Waited for delivery and didn’t arrive so rang restaurant only to be told the delivery person had taken it and then kept it!!! Just given a refund and didn’t care that we had been waiting for nearly 2 hours. Refused to do another order! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!!

We used to regularly have food from here, but stopped for a few years. Today we decided to go back, and the food was just as delicious as the first time.

Gangnam are proof, if any were needed, that you don't need to have a lengthy menu and luxurious surroundings to have an excellent meal. I've been here since they moved from the town centre and went there as well. The food is always 100%, great portions, well-cooked, well seasoned and presented nicely. Two areas for improvement that would make it a five star experience. There seems to be a considerable turnover of staff, which means that sometimes the latter are not 100% familiar with the menu, though, to be fair, they are always unfailingly polite. The other of which is that a couple of times, I've waited an extended period in an almost empty restaurant for food, not because the chef or staff are lazy - far from it - but because priority seems to be being given to delivery and take away orders. This needs addressing. I will be back.

Delicious food, comfortable pleasantly decorated surroundings. Friendly, competent staff. £75 for a good quality meal for 4 (3 starters, 4 mains, 1 side, 5 beers). It's as good value for money as you can get in Stevenage.

This place was very enjoyable and fun to be at!Me and my family had great experiences,we went for a birthday and a nice woman named Mela served us.The food was delicious and well presented , the vegetarian options were good and the deserts were delicious too.The wheat flour Udon noodles are vegetarian and were one of my familys favourites ! The deserts were nice because there was boba and mochi and a korean desert too together i would definitly come again.The people their were nice as well and for the birthday we were celebrating they came in with a candle on an orange cake ! I recommened people to come here for sure!

Wonderful food. Not an expert in Korean cuisine, but seems to be 'home made'.

Went early evening for something a little different. Initial impression is not good as the restaurant has an unfortunate shape and is very canteen like. It wasn't busy but the service was quite slow. The menu choices for mains are quite limited but the quality and pricing are 4 star. Would revisit but only very occasionally due to the limited choices on offer.

Appalling service and extremely long waiting times ruined the evening. After waiting 10 minutes at our table we still never received a menu so we resorted to searching for it online. It took over 25 min for our drinks to arrive while the waitresses were seemingly doing nothing/loitering at the tills. We were promised with cutlery which never materialised despite us asking politely 3 times. Starters took over 50 minutes to arrive which we had to eat with no cutlery. While the food itself tasted good, this was let down by the fact that half of it was piping hot while the other was lukewarm/cold. The waitresses appeared clueless about which table each order was supposed to go to. We received 3 incorrect orders at our table and we were served our food before another table who has arrived before us. Their wait times must have been in excess of an hour just for their starters. The rest was not even busy with only a handful of other tables occupied. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Gangman has become one of my favourite Korean restaurants to eat at. I'm always trying to find a new Korean eatery in whatever city I am in, and whenever I'm visiting my partner it's a delight for us to dine at this place. The service is kind and compassionate, and the food is always delicious and wanting me to order more! I'm biased to always order a Chicken Bibimbap but I must say the bulgogi and the fried chicken strips were a new order that I'll be having again. This is a hidden gem in Stevenage for sure.

Delicious food!! Took a chance on this restaurant and I was so pleasantly surprised. All the food was fresh and delicious, and so well priced! I had two starters and a main for under £20! Really couldn’t recommend enough, if you’re thinking about it go for it!

Surprisingly large on the inside. Service is lovely if not very fast although there may have been a kitchen issue for a while. We were given some extra sides for free because of the wait and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Very flavoursome honest food nicely presented in a relaxed atmosphere.

Gangnam is the jewel of Stevenage. You are made to feel like you are with family, the owner is attentive and caring and so kind. We have only just left and all we have spoken about is how lovely our visit was and how satiated we are. Ever item on the menu is delicious but the Korean kimchi pancake is out of this world. And that fresh kimchi! Wow! Owners all around Herts would do well to learn from the owner of Gangnam, she is the best example of true hospitality. Chocolate mochi was on point and the orange cake was fully and soft beyond belief. Thank you all for your fantastic service, your chefs are so talented ❤️

Such a great find! I had a lovely meal. The food was amazing and the customer service was excellent. There are vegetarian and gluten free options and lots of choice. Plus the best green tea I've ever had! Can't wait to come back.

Visited on a quiet week-night with my other half, the food was gorgeous. The staff were incredibly helpful, attentive, and service was excellent. Well worth the money and the food was very memorable. To anyone who likes, is open to, or is curious about Korean food, this place won't leave you disappointed and will definitely always have something you will enjoy.

Our absolute favourite restaurant! Our family used to live in Korea and we visit Gangnam as often as we can. Adults and children alike in our family all adore the amazing food and the service is always spot on too, with lots of smiles and brilliant chats too. Delicious authentic Korean food in a really handy location for us and at a reasonable price, we love you guys!

Just recently ordered on Uber Eats - food was amazing packed full of flavour and was a treat to eat. Couldn’t recommend the food more, and the Korean Orange Juice is perfect for the meal. Told my girlfriend how good the food was and will be taking her for a meal there sooner rather than later. Thanks to Gangnam also for calling me and keeping me up to date with the delivery ! Happy customer and will be ordering again for sure.

Second meal from Gangnam and what a pleasant surprise in Stevenage. The staff get five stars, very friendly and helpful. It’s the types of place where you feel like part of the family. The food is tasty and the ingredients were fresh. The kimchi is always pleasant. Had dumplings this time around and they were very tasty. Also had the Bibimbap. They are tasty, and the flavours were excellent.

We enjoyed our first ever Korean Meal at Gangnam. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and the food was fresh and really tasty. Very reasonably priced too. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

We've eaten here a few times and the food of course is exceptional- fresh and filling, in big portions, always comes out steaming hot and worth every penny. But what keeps us coming back is the unparalleled customer service- every need is met, without feeling like you're being constantly interrupted, all the staff are kind and friendly. A great place for a mid week date night, or if you're looking for a lovely venue for a family get together!

Ate at Gangnam's for my first time, been wanting to try it for ages and took my son and daughter (19+18). We tried a number of dishes from the menu consisting of both starters and mains and tried a bit of each, they were all great, some we liked but would not have again, worth adding nothing wrong but just not for us, however we wanted to give the experience a go and others that we just so good, the mixture of spice and textures were new to us and certainly worthy of repeating, will be seeing us again. The decor and seating is basic but don't let that put you off the message is in the food.

I have been going to gangnam for many years - even when they was based in the town and I can honestly say it has always been one of my favourites. The food is always fresh, tasty and fairly priced. Nice, calm and casual atmosphere. The owner is always so welcoming. I have bought many friends and introduced them to the great food. They have always enjoyed and always come back again! We went again tonight and the food was lovely, with some new additions to the starters. The Korean fried chicken is brilliant, would recommend.

We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and had a lovely experience. The service was brilliant. We really enjoyed the food, we had the pancake, chicken bibimbap , chicken strips and orange cake. Everything tasted very authentic and fresh. It’s a shame we don’t live closer otherwise we definitely would return! Highly recommend. Thank you

We went to Gangnam as a family of 3, with eleven year old child not knowing what to expect. We all loved everything we ordered. Various starters, kimchi, bibimbap, orange cake and more. Food was fresh, healthy, authentic and delicious. Really friendly and attentive service. Will definitely be returning.

Fantastic food, get soju here, can smell the food cooking, very friendly staff and great starters for only like 5 or 6 pounds. Good stuff if you know korean food or not.

Went here on a Monday evening with two friends who had never been. The food was great, my friends loved it too despite having their reservations as they’d never tried Korean food! Coming back again with a bigger group of friends soon

quite pricey for the portion of food as I expected a filling meal but when I opened the box I was presented with 6 tiny pieces of food for a fiver but tasted quite nice.

Lovely food and good service. Appetizers were delicious. The bibimbap was served in a very nice bowl. Although I prefer the food to be steaming hot as in the winter, it is still very tasty. We had a beautiful chiffon orange cake served with ice-cream for dessert which is so soft and not too sweet.

I can’t recommend Tasteless dry chicken starter Basic sushi £9.50 for a mains I was expecting something better. Wasn’t worth waiting a hour and a half for. £34 and Still hungry

Fantastic food! A mixture of vegans and meat eaters having take out and every dish was delicious. Only draw back was that it took about 90 mins from our order but it was a large order and was worth it!

Quality and consistency. Excellent food. Very casual dining experience, staff are attentive but not over fussy. Nice to see something different around Stevo!
