Fabulous bread. You can cut a fresh loaf for sandwiches and the dough springs back not like some where it squashes flat. Lovely light bread and delicious crust. Just wish there were rolls in the Stevenage Old Town shop.

Comfortable, peaceful coffee shop in Stevenage Old Town with pleasant service. Good coffee and a tasty section of buns. They are rather large so a knife and a serviette would have been welcomed. Not sure I would buy bread there as the girl kept rearranging the loaves with uncovered hands. On one visit she emptied the dog water bowl then, without washing her hands, started to clean the coffee machine! A pity dogs are allowed in eating establishments these days!

I’m really pleased to have discovered this amazing micro bakery tucked away in the indoor market. It has become my weekly go to for fresh sourdough and I won’t buy bread from anywhere else! It is everything a good old fashioned bakery should be. Artisan sourdough made with wholesome, simple ingredients. The real deal. I also enjoy the fact that I’m spending my money supporting a small, independent and local business. An absolute gem of Stevenage.

Leavened is located in Stevenage Market. If you know where the stall is that sells all the International foods and fruit and veg you are really close. As well as selling loaves of bread they also sell gorgeous looking pastries. You can also grab a coffee or tea to take away or sit on one of their benches and watch the world go by. Great place to relax with some good reading matter. Plus you are supporting a local business!

Popped in earlier today to look at gear for when I upgrade, the staff in here are super friendly and gave me some really good advice on helmets!

Very fast, precise and friendly service. The location is clean and tidy, but I wasn't impressed, a bit anonymous... The idea of the tapas is interesting, the dishes in general were all good, however: the sweet peppers were a very small portion, and had a similar cost to other tapas, whose portions were larger. In the plate of serrano cheeses and jamon, only 2 slices of serrano, also cold from the fridge. Some diners took the paella and didn't find it excellent... Good but nothing special. Other tapas were good though. In short, ups and downs on food. Having not tried many other places in the area, I don't know whether to honestly recommend it. However, I can tell you that it was recommended to me by those who often go to Stevenage...
