Really good venue for a meal after a day out in North Norfolk. I had the fish and chips, which were excellent, the fish batter was perfect. Good choice of real ales in this free house. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We will definitely return.

...oh my goodness! Who cares if it has a week's calories in a slice? It's a good thing I don't live locally: I'd have to pop in every day and would probably be several stones heavier.

Couldn’t rate the staff more highly . We had brought family for a walk by the lake and a sausage sandwich lunch. Was initially told we had arrived to late for sausages as the cafe had moved to a different lunchtime menu , but when saying we had come especially for the sausages they said no problem and fresh sausages for 5 were cooked just for us . Super tasty as usual .

Visited this lovely bakery on Sunday for the first time. The range of bakery items is outstanding with reasonable prices and friendly staff. The carrot cake especially is so yummy. A must go to bakery in Wells.

We stopped here for a cup of coffee and a cake. Both the peanut blondie and chocolate brownie were very nice. While waiting for our order to be fulfilled, we were able to browse the gifts area. We were lucky to be able to park in one of the only two parking spaces, otherwise you have to park along the road. The road is very narrow in places so caution is needed driving through the village or parking.

What a disappointment, Paper cups (thought they did away with them after covid) so unfriendly, can't beat a good coffee mug. Chairs, thought I was sitting on a toast rack Coffee weak

We love this coffee shop. Good coffee and delicious cakes. Never fails to please. Always polite staff. Cannot wait to return in early March.

An honest review….. and I don’t expect something for nothing however …..£36 for 2 hot drinks, a smoothie and 2 sandwiches! Overpriced for what you get and although the food was fine I’ve had better and walked away feeling underwhelmed.

First time back since the refirb… wow!! It has retained all of the original character but with some fantastic additional accommodation . Sunday Roast , highly recommended Thanks Tina, great to see you again! Back soon……

From the first step inside we were greeted and welcomed with the warmest of hospitality. All the staff were attentive and happy; working hard when the majority of us were enjoying time off (Sunday 29th December). The food was extremely well cooked, generous in portion size, and nicely presented, with menu options for everyone, and at incredibly good value. The room was well laid out, it was extremely clean, and there was a gorgeous roaring fire in the bar area. Wonderful photographs of local lifeboat crews adorn some of the walls - a tribute to the bravery and dedication of local heros. There was a mix of clientele and the atmosphere was extremely enjoyable as a result of attentive and professional staff. Thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely return and recommend. We had half an hour to kill, so wandered around and luckily discovered this super pub. We got a warm welcome at the bar – and some advice on the drinks choice. This was really helpful, as we ended up discovering a (new to us) beer that we loved. So much so, that we stayed for another round. Sitting out in the suntrap at the back was a real treat. We’ll definitely be back.

The sausage rolls were so good, they tasted really nice and the staff warmed them up for us. The staff were all very friendly and we felt comfortable sitting in the cafe.
