The best restaurants in Priory North Norfolk East of England

Wells Crab House is hands down the best restaurant I have ever been to. The food is consistently outstanding, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented every single time. The service is just as impressive, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s rare to find a place that never disappoints, but this one absolutely delivers, time and time again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Wells-next-the-Sea, you won’t be disappointed!

Really good venue for a meal after a day out in North Norfolk. I had the fish and chips, which were excellent, the fish batter was perfect. Good choice of real ales in this free house. Staff were very friendly and efficient. We will definitely return.

Normal day in Norfolk (cloudy) food is great but check out the menu to make sure all your crew are being catered for.

...oh my goodness! Who cares if it has a week's calories in a slice? It's a good thing I don't live locally: I'd have to pop in every day and would probably be several stones heavier.

Food was edible but the curry was not home made and tasted like it was from a jar. Partner had the burger and chips were under cooked. Little disappointed considering the reviews. The waitress was nice but the waiter could have worn a smile

The centric hub for this establishment is “Colin”. Owner, chef, raconteur and all round eccentric English Gentleman. His food is simple, fresh and cooked with flare and Colin’s twist. It was simply superb. My oysters all suffered from clinical obese syndrome and were the plumpest tastiest oysters I’ve ever eaten, not to mention they retained all their liquor in the shells. I had several courses including enormous juicy scallops, monkfish with scallops in lobster bisque and much more not to mention the outstanding home made prune and Armagnac bread and butter pudding with cream….. OMG….heavenly!! This 75 year boy can cook!! The experience of Colin’s company, his food and the overall experience will stay with me and my secretary for ever. Colin is a hugely funny bloke and doesn’t even realize it. Absolutely loved the whole experience and brilliant value for money if you appreciate the best food available In Norfolk!! We laughed all the way on our 3 hour journey home at every thing that happened and the calamities. Hilarious. Our new friend and our new go to restaurant “best restaurant experience “ in Norfolk. On holiday in Wells and it was our first time ordering from Fortune House Chinese Takeaway and it was absolutely delicious! We didn’t want any peppers in a curry we ordered and the man who served us was brilliant and was able to substitute the peppers for us with no problems. Food was fresh and service was quick friendly and super helpful! Would highly recommend 😊

Walked in just as they were closing and clearing up, yet received a really warm welcome as I'd we were the first customers of the day. Lovely old school tea shop with great cakes, friendly service and a welcome break from the rain. Would recommend when visiting Wells

Couldn’t rate the staff more highly . We had brought family for a walk by the lake and a sausage sandwich lunch. Was initially told we had arrived to late for sausages as the cafe had moved to a different lunchtime menu , but when saying we had come especially for the sausages they said no problem and fresh sausages for 5 were cooked just for us . Super tasty as usual .

well done William and Alex well worth the trip from central Norfolk for my breakfast will definitely be back again, I also bumped into the Major of Warham in Does getting some spedos for his trip to Fiji thank you and see you soon

Visited this lovely bakery on Sunday for the first time. The range of bakery items is outstanding with reasonable prices and friendly staff. The carrot cake especially is so yummy. A must go to bakery in Wells.

We had the satay curry, my husbands with meat myself the vegan one. Super tasty. Super filling. Great value. A must go to. We will be back !

Very nice restaurant within the Edinburgh arms, small menu but very nice food and pleasant seating. Fish pie was our favourite! Staff are very friendly and attentive and we ate there several times during our stay, Prices are also very fair

Lovely fish and chips. Portions are very big, so I went for just small cod and small chips. It was plenty! Lovely, fresh fish and proper chips! Very nice mushy peas. Waiting time very reasonable,we went about 2pm on Saturday.

We stopped here for a cup of coffee and a cake. Both the peanut blondie and chocolate brownie were very nice. While waiting for our order to be fulfilled, we were able to browse the gifts area. We were lucky to be able to park in one of the only two parking spaces, otherwise you have to park along the road. The road is very narrow in places so caution is needed driving through the village or parking.
