Staying in Wells on holiday this week and decided on the last night to forgo the pub trip we had planned and to make the short walk from the caravan site to Jacks Shack. So glad we did as this was probably our best meal out this week. Between us we has enormous sausages in buns, freshly prepared chicken burger, gorgeous satay curry topped with grilled chicken and a couple of portions of loaded fries. All the food was served quickly and was piping hot, but more importantly was absolutely terrific. Would highly highly highly recommend

We visited on a warm sunny evening and Jack’s Shack was really busy with a long queue. Only 1 chef and 1 server and they worked like machines! Slick, efficient and clean all with a massive smile on their faces. We had the mushroom burger and satay curry with fries. So good! Really good size portions and all priced at £5.00. Great atmosphere and music. Highly recommend a visit!

I ordered my food with ease except the actual time it took for my order to come was 25-30 minutes with people who ordered after me getting their orders before me. When my food was served I got a plastic box of chips and a burger with a big piece of bread compared to the actual meat and salad. (First bite bread, second bite bread, third bite meat). They’re menu had a decent variety in the four food types they had: Burgers, Chips, Wok meals and hot dogs. This place is very popular as the queue did get longer and longer in the time it took for me to eat my meal. So why was there only two people doing the jobs of the cashier, chef and waiter/waitress.

A hidden gem in this somewhat forgotten part of N.Norfolk. But having been on a adhoc basis, to this establishment I’ve been impressed with the quality of the food and drink, it’s a really different, rustic and appealing bakery/cafe/restaurant. My main gripe is that the management seem to struggle for commitment and direction. It takes real hard work and effort to get a new business in this profession up and running. This Siding, has seemed to manage to do… but I’ve often questioned, if the management have got their heart in the job, as often on holidays and days in the tourist season, when they should have been open to the public and ‘making hay’… well they were closed. STOP PRESS… this business and establishment has now closed permanently. So the feeling that I got about commitment has now come to pass, as it seems the owner/s are moving abroad. It’s a great location and it was a popular brand… I do hope a new owner can be found and the early success can be regained!

Visited recently, adequate menu, order food at the bar. We had Scampi & Chips, prawn salad with chips and Pizza. Nice food served fairly quickly and the young staff were very friendly and efficient. We will revisit when in the area.
