Fortune House Chinese Take Away in North Norfolk

First visit to this takeaway while on holiday in Wells. Lovely helpful lady at the counter. I ordered large pancake roll, prawn crackers and special chow mein. All absolutely delicious and fresh tasting! I'll definitely be back on our next visit! 👍

Best chinese takeaway and only one in Wells next the sea. I have been going here for many years everything I visit wells. The best thing is now they have a website where you can order and pay online and tells you when your food is ready for collection!

We’re staying in Wells for a nice long weekend and made plans & was all ready for a Chinese takeaway, tried calling the order through with no answer so we drove down to find it was closed!..on a Saturday night..gutted.

A good Chinese takeaway serving a good range of dishes and sundries. Service is good and they explain dishes if asked. It's cash only, so make sure you have some as most of the cash machines in Wells have gone.

Lovely lady who serves at the counter. We ordered on arrival and didn't have to wait that long for food. Very busy place too. Nice clean seating area. The food was really good, plenty of it and fresh, tasty and piping hot. We will definitely visit again.

Made the 25 minutes trip for a takeaway as all.local to our holiday home were closed. We were not disappointed. Best Chinese food we've ever had. Cash only.

Ordered whilst on holiday, great service ordering by phone, got all dishes asked for. King prawns are big as previous reviewer. All in all good food and larger portions than our Chinese at home. Highly recommended. David Churchill

Simply the best Chinese takeaway ever, certainly in north Norfolk. Telephone order taken in friendly manor, greeted by lady with a smile and lovely personality. Take cash with you when collecting meal. Food excellent, very tasty good portions, when ordering king prawns they are really king unlike other takeaways. Food cooked to high standard and presented with grace and friendly banter.

Friendly service and good food.

Very friendly service, greeted with a huge smile. Our ordered duck dishes were prepared freshly and promptly. Very good value for money. Decent portions; one plain rice served two. Kung po duck was pleasantly spicy, meat tender, vegetables crunchy. Would certainly return on our next stay in Wells-next-the-Sea.

Just had a very enjoyable and very tasty meal, customer service excellent, I would not hesitate to recommend. (Chicken with ginger and spring onions , devine).

Best Chinese iv ever been to lovely and friendly we walked there from our hotel to find it was cash only lovey lady let us order while we walked to the cash point and back food was fresh hot and full of flavour cooked perfectly cant fault the service or the food :)

Barely edible, prawn curry very glutinous & not particularly hot, sweet & sour sauce thin & tasteless. Chips dry & hard, very disappointing meal indeed

The only chinese take away restaurant near us, however i am not disappointed by this. Try the hot and sour soup, one of my personel favourites.

What a great find ,tucked away in a side street off polka road,polite staff,great food and generous portions ,I would highly recommend you give it a try.

We come in holiday to Wells regularly and as a treat have a takeaway from this Chinese. Always been scrumptious but this time, chicken pieces were miniscule, sweet & sour sauce was tasteless and crispy chiily beef chewy with no crisp. Shame, as probably won't go back.

Had two meals from here during our weeks stay in wells as the first meal was so good. Friendly polite service can recommend Singapore fried rice sweet and sour king prawn Hong Kong style and the large spring rolls all the food we purchased was really tasty first class

Very good quality Chinese food and really enjoyed the take away set meal for four. All the dishes were well cooked with plenty of chicken, beef and prawns in the dishes. A little too much rice, but, all take aways do. Order was confirmed with the price to be paid when calling and the food was ready in the 15-20 minutes suggested. Would definitely recommend.

We have just ordered a variety of dishes for 4 people from this restaurant , and sorry to say that this is the worst Chinese meal that we have ever had. It was very tasteless and the rice was stodgy. We packed it all up and took it back to the restaurant, the rest went in the bin.

Very very tasty, we drove around for ages looking for a place to eat, and the chip shops queue was massive. Passed this by chance and so gave it a go...it was delicious food and we were glad not to have had chips in the end. Friendly staff too

We have just had this as we our on a break to the area. Great service fantastic staff very nice and the food is outstanding there is also a place to park. Of back in the area we will definitely be returning. My husband had pork chow mien and he said it which better than what were used to and rather than diced pork you got slices of the meat and sauce/flavour was awesome. I however had chicken curry which was delicious..
