This is the second visit to the pub- after the annual Land Rover rally for the Norfolk firefighters charity. The first time we visited was just for drinks, this time we had a meal- a roast dinner in my case. We hadn’t booked and were very pleased with the service, the lady behind the bar took our orders promptly and was very helpful with the children’s menu. Food was served quickly and was delicious, proper “pub grub” The atmosphere was very pleasant too, it was a dark, wet November night and upon entering you’re greeted by an open fire, cozy bar and cozy restaurant. Will definitely be returning- more than once a year!

Just got back from our first visit to the Three Horseshoes and wanted to say how lovely it was. Staff lovely and beautiful old building with lots of character. Good choice of drinks and menu. Two of us had the roast chicken and one roast pork and me being a fussy eater was catered for without any fuss. The food was lovely and good portion size. Deserts were good too. Overall a lovely Sunday diner and good value for money. Will be visiting again.

We were staying nearby and came across the Three Horse Shoes as being one of the nearest pub/restaurants to our accommodation. A small well run rustic village pub serving outstanding food. I has a reputation for its excellent home cooked pies only served Monday to Friday. Having tried the Steak and blue cheese one evening and Steak and Ale a couple of days later I must say the reputation is well deserved. In fact both have now set me a new gold standard by which I will judge other pies. Both served with a choice of potatoes, but again the chips I selected were outstanding. Not greasy and crisp. If not keen on pies there was a good selection of alternatives. My wife who habitually selects fish thought the Dab; a fish she had never eaten before was delicious. A good selection of local ales and wines. If we did not live over 200 miles away , the Three Horse Shoes would be our regular. All staff were helpful and very friendly. I did say the pub is small and was fully booked on the two of the three evenings we visited, so be warned don’t just turn up without a reservation you are likely to be disappointed.

A lovely spontaneous night away in a truly peaceful, dog friendly village pub. We are always on the lookout for the perfect north Norfolk dog friendly hotel and this was a top contender! Lovely room with a ginormous bath and bathroom, with its own entrance, which is great for our noise sensitive labrador (any excuse to woof!). We ate dinner in the tranquil beer garden (have a pie-they’re immense!!), which was perfect for a warm summer’s evening (yes we do sometimes get them In the UK it seems). The chips were proper chips and the pie wasn’t just a lid! I’m vegetarian and there were several choices for me including two different pie options. Breakfast inside the pub was equally good-a fairly traditional menu, but that suited us fine…we both had full English (one veggie) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would we come back? 100%. We preferred this to Brancaster White Horse.

This is a lovely traditional pub and restaurant which has some really nice rooms on offer for people wishing to stay over. We have been here several times and visited to enjoy Sunday Lunch. We were met by very cheerful, happy and chatty staff members who were very attentive throughout. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and we enjoyed a thoroughly good experience. We would recommend the Three Horsehoes at Warham as a great place to visit and dine at.

Discovered this pub earlier this year after an excellent recommendation. Great food and comfortable unpretentious surroundings. So nice to find a pub that offers decent food cooked on the premises as we are so fed up with the predictably disappointing fare offered by so many chain pubs. Always great food, especially the pies, and plenty of it. Nice friendly service too.

For an authentic local pub with the best homemade food this is the place! Their speciality is homemade pies! But all food is homemade and delicious! Sit in the bar if you can and enjoy a chat with the staff and locals. Been coming here for years and never disappointed.

Perfect place to stay if you have a dog we were in the new wooden huts very good and clean with a large bathroom. My only quibble the breakfast -poor selection on the cereal table would have liked to see more fruit and plain Greek Yogurt-- also I asked for a boiled egg and it was refused-- the waitress asked the cook! and I was told I could have a poached egg not boiled! I cannot understand this as I never asked for eggs Benedict- just a boiled egg. I have worked both in a kitchen and front of house so I am aware how things run-- what sort of a cook cannot do a boiled egg! the breakfast was not over-run with diners and although boiled eggs were not listed on the menu --neither were baked beans but my husband asked for them and got them. So I left with a little niggle which your cook could have remedied.

Came here with family on our Norfolk Holiday, most of us had one of their pies or burgers, the pies were quite frankly the best pies we've ever had. The burgers were huge and very nice also! The chips were like chip shop chips and went very well with the burgers. We had a big bowl of veg between the three of us who had pies. There was plenty of room either under the tables or beside for the dogs to relax. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Would 100% recommend and will return if we are in the area.

This is our second stay at Three Horseshoes, and it didn’t disappoint! Staff were so friendly from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in Holkham room, which is dog friendly and has the most enormous bathroom with a free standing bath and a large separate shower. Toiletries were renewed daily along with tea/ coffee/ water facilities in the room. The bed is huge and very comfy, with lovely crisp, white sheets. The bath towels are thick and fluffy with several heated towel rails to warm them up on. We could not fault the breakfasts or evening meals with lots to choose from. We were thoroughly spoilt including our dog who was treated to dog treats. There is a large grassed pub garden to the back of the pub. There are newly built cabins in the grounds which I would really like to try next time! We enjoyed our stay so much and would highly recommend staying here. The only slight negative thing, if I was being picky, the room above us had very creaky floor boards, so if anyone walking around we heard but it is a very old building, so, it is to be expected.

We had a double deluxe room (with British sized King bed) over the pub for GBP 189 and expected more at this price range. The room was well appointed, recently renovated and super clean. However it was small with the spacious ensuite bathroom being almost the same size as the room. If you have a large suitcase it may be hard to open it. The bed was very comfortable but we didn’t sleep well as the room was very hot. The bottom sash window didn’t stay open and even with our propping it open and it being cool outside we sweated. (We only found the small fan in the cupboard as we were leaving.) Our room also overlooked the main road and there was car noise. Bring earplugs or opt for one of the cottages or rooms in the old post office away from the road. WIFI was decent. We had read so many positive reviews about the pea and mint pies but sadly this was no longer on the menu. They did have sone other vegetarian options. I opted for a small salad strangely served in a bowl rather than a plate which was ok. The butter chickpea in tomato sauce was excellent. The beer battered white fish was good too. We were very disappointed in the standard of the breakfast, however. The eggs were over cooked; the cold food options are limited (see photo); the toast was overly thick; no baked beans; etc. When you check in you are given a breakfast time choice based on what other guests have selected. So if you arrive late note that you’ll likely only have the 9:30 or 9:45 AM as choices, so if you need to leave early in the morning call ahead to reserve your spot. They only ask you at what time you want breakfast and how you want your eggs on a form at check in. If you are vegetarian or font want bacon or sausages you’ll have yo tell them as they don’t ask. Also, both in the dining room and room they only had whole milk. The property is dog friendly with local dog treats on sale in the pub. We went to the fabulous Holkham Hall country estate and discovered the Victoria Inn for food which also does better value rooms. We would stay there next time.

My wife and I always have a meal here on our annual visit to Norfolk to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday and the pub always provides a top meal. It never fails to disappoint with their friendly and ever helpful staff. I had very tasty and well presented starter of salmon gravlax followed by a home made pork and apple pie which came with mash and a super side of locally produced veg. My wife didn’t have a starter but just had a main course of the rib eye steak which was one of the specials available that day. She stated that it was cooked to perfection, done to her instructions. To finish, I had two scoops of their strawberry ice cream and my wife just had a coffee. A lovely little pub with a wonderful atmosphere and a good selection of local beers. I do recommend you book as this is a popular venue. We will most certainly be back to enjoy this great pub/restaurant. They also have rooms and other accommodation available to base yourself in the lovely village of Warham close to explore North Norfolk and it’s many sights

The welcome from Jane with whom we shared many laughs based upon a shared knowledge of our our home area and her brothers was exactly what we were looking forward to, Our room was well appointed with as we were to discover a really comfortable bed and a huge bathroom with plenty toiletries From our first meal through breakfast to our last the food was spot on great in fact brilliant classic English pub food The staff were just great in so many ways.I could go on but enough to say this was a perfect stay One final point the location on a quiet road in North Norfolk

On a work trip, my colleague had booked three rooms I had not even looked at where we were staying two of us drove together and apart from an hilarious sat nav mess up had a great trip. A warm welcome when we arrived, shown to our rooms. They man who showed us to our rooms said one room was larger so I gave that to my female colleague, when I got to my room it was plenty big enough, was immaculate, and fabulous hot shower, lots of tea a coffee, some many places skimp on the coffee and tea in the room. We had an evening meal here, great food and service. Our third colleague was later than us after a long trip and later meeting but food was still available. Would happily recommend this establishment for food, accommodation for work or pleasure.

We’ve been coming here for years. The food is always good and a welcoming stop with the dog after a long walk. The only thing that really lets it down is the coffee and cake. I’d love to see some homemade local cakes on offer instead of the prepackaged tasteless ones they sell. You’ve got to have decent coffee and cake after a cold wet dog walk! Norfolk offers great coffee everywhere now and it seems the court yard cafe at Holkham is lagging behind.
