The third time have stayed at the Bell Inn and good to see that standards had been maintained. Rooms clean and nicely decorated, excellent breakfast, obliging and friendly staff and dinner and particularly drinks very reasonably priced. Good location with access to Suffolk villages and countryside. Altogether what's not to like

We visited this afternoon on a long bike ride and found the Jungle room a fabulous place to stop and refresh ourselves. We both had the grilled cheese sourdough sandwich, which was extremely tasty. I also had a very, very good cup of coffee to accompany it. The final bill was a snip given the superb quality of the food and service. The nice touch at the end was our server offering to fill up our water bottles. Great stuff

Pulled off the Norwich road to find a coffee stop and the town of Eye was the nearest. Free parking in the street so that was a good start then walking through the town entered the first café and asked if they were dog friendly since we has a tiny pup with us, No was the reply. Walking a few yards more and crossing a street we cam across "The Bank" now it seems an art centre and café so in I went to ask the question, are you dog friendly YES the lady replied welcome. On the counter a selection of home made cakes a proper coffee machine crisps etc. Inside the spacious building plenty of seated and nice and warm, four artists painting and drawing. The table had a menu of which is in the photos we chose apple pie and custard.

Ate here whilst visiting Helmingham. Excellent toasties (1× French onion,1 x ruebens), good coffee and an excellent shared salad Great quality food, served by professional staff. Thank you Wright's @ Helmingham

Excellent small community run cafe located next to the post office in the old Magistrates Court- which is always filled with locals on Thursdays and Saturdays. With the cheapest but nicest real coffees and cake in Suffolk it’s a real treat and a hidden gem. Highly recommended as a pit stop in Stradbroke Village with very clean toilets.

A little disappointed and maybe we expected too much. Service was great and accommodating especially as we had a dog. Drink selection was good and food menu was nice and varied. Went for the seafood platter and fish and chips and for a seaside area I would have expected more. Batter was too thick on fish (I chose the wrong fries!) but it was fresh. Platter was oily and very disappointing. Coming from the coast myself maybe I am being super critical but I just felt they could do a little more on both the decor and taste of the platter, in my opinion of course.

I frequent the Nareys cafe several times a week. They have quality cake and quality coffee. Although the staff in the office section are terribly blunt and sometimes unhelpful. (And often leaving the serving to a ten year old?? Why are they not in school I often wonder) The garden centre is also a little on the premium price side. Noah and Katy are smiling guardian angels standing out in a sea of miserable staff faces. When they aren’t ’understaffed’ and have a full menu available the options are good. All in all would recommend.

Visited here whilst staying in Clare. Best sourdough seeded bread I have had, pastries all excellent, took a loaf home for my daughter who also raved about it!
