Excellent pub and only a short walk from our hotel. Great team, great laughs, and great locals. Would highly recommend.

Been driving past the Greyhound for ages and never popped in. Stopped the other night and had a beer and was served by great staff and there is plenty of parking. I'll be back for a few more beers and a meal now.

The pub was quiet when we went in in the late afternoon. Beer was good. Black sheep. Service was good.

Went here as my partner was singing and the lay out of the pub is great and very well priced. Nice crowd, so people are great as well. Well worth a visit

Only there for a drink looked at the menu most there was texan nothing took my fancy to call back.

Home cooked food with real potato mash not packet mash, fresh reg not out of the freezer. Now doing food from the wood burning BBQ. Mad cow smokehouse. Great food. Very large portion

Had a steak sizzler rare, the wife had a medium one both cooked to perfection. Staff was so polite, friendly and very professional, could not fault anything at all.

I like the crown food was ok they weren't sure what gluten free was but bar lady made a good effort finding things I could have 👍🏼

Absolutely fantastic meal. Staff lovely and friendly. Huge portions of lovely food. Stopped off by chance on holiday but what a find. The chicken wing buckets are delicious.

Superb food service and hospitality

Possibly one of the worst Curries I've ever had.. was obviously heinz canned tomato soup with a bit of curry powder put into it. My partner had "hunters chicken" which consisted of dry chicken microwaved with cheese on top. definitely do not get food here. Bar staff were friendly but seemed very untrained as they didn't know what was available etc. Atmosphere was nice though and a good range of drinks on the bar which is refreshing to see these days.

Good atmosphere. Had an Elvis night on Saturday which drew in an exellent crowd and vibe to match.

We tried the Greyhound for Sunday lunch. There were ten of us; adults and children of varying ages. The staff were friendly, accommodating and the atmosphere was relaxed. The food was very good, the menu choice was nice and the servings were generous. Reasonable price too. Would definitely visit again.

Excellent food friendly and vault for money on food 5 adults and 2 children was very welcomed and we all enjoyed the experience.

Went back 2 greyhound 4 a curry night, very nice indeed. wouldn't go on a Sunday, after the last visit was disastrous. Still waiting 4 a replacement meal,/ or voucher,s 2 cover my expensive meal, that was not at quality I had expected.

The bar staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and prices were good, no fault there at all. However, the food we ordered was dare I say abysmal, and I'm quite forgiving of local pub food. Go there for a few friendly drinks. Yes! Dinner. Probably not.

Called in with 5 friends for an un booked dinner. Public Bar was very lively with possibly a darts match going on but plenty of room in the lounge Bar. Very friendly service and lovely food ranging from a curry, liver and bacon and gammon egg and chips. All very tasty and reasonably priced.

Staff really friendly and helpful. Lovely food and not too expensive! Fed 6 of us for less than £80 including drinks! Will definitely be back.

Really good choice on the menu then well-presented, attractive, plentiful and very fresh food.... as well as looking inviting, everything was hot and tasty....skilfully created, home-cooked, smart & with originality too... If I could give 10 stars I would, we held our wedding reception here on 2nd July 2022. (we had never visited before so was unsure of what to expect), Both the hot food and buffet were amazing, staff couldn't do enough and everyone had a fantastic time. Not a single guest had a negative thing to say. A special thanks to malcom, Sarah and Dawn for their efforts as nothing was too much trouble for them. (I don't know how Dawn managed all the hot food orders at such a high standard) I can't thank you all enough for the work you put in to make our day extra special. I would recommend anyone planning an event to book it here. Thank you again

Lokal pub where you can watch sports. Dogs welcome. Nice selection of beers and a few ciders. Some customers were very tired, one slept loudly.

So called new owners are rude. Bald headed man kept chatting up my girlfriend which apparently is normal from him. Even asked for her number which was apparently to inform her when the next karaoke was Never going again. Staff don't know what they are doing they are more interested in their own drinking than the customers

We stayed for 2 nights really enjoyed our stay. Had a bit of a problem with the temperature of the room but sorted it out eventually. The only very slight complaint is the hairdryer was so old it really does need replacing it only worked for 10 second bursts. It’s a good job I didn’t wash my hair I would still be there! Dinner was nice and it was good that the menu changed each night as I am vegetarian. Breakfast was ok, but a bigger fruit selection would be a bonus. Definitely stay there again

Great pub run by great people now staff are welcoming & friendly. Good range of drinks, alcoholic & non alcoholic. I've not tried the new menu foods but have only heard good reviews. Great live music on Saturdays & su days, great karaoke on Friday nights. Pool league, darts team, quiz nights. Brilliant

Well, this happened and then that happened. Which ,in a hap hazardous way ,led to very happy happenings.

After hearing the pub has new owners, we wanted to go and try the food which we decided to have a Sunday roast. Don't go here for a roast!!! Unless you want to use a saw to cut through the beef, and to give your mouth a workout. The vegetables were not good, I prefer my Broccoli softer and we got 3 slices of carrots. The person who served us behind the bar needs to learn some customer service skills - it took us ages to get served which he said "you should have rang the bell", when he was just stood there talking to other customers, in the other side of the bar. We watched him serve another customer, which the customer had to tell him that you dont keep red wine in the fridge - quite funny haha. When he poured their drink they asked for a medium wine and got given a large, which he told them - "I dont measure, I just pour". Will not be returning at all! Staff need sorting out, and need to try their own food before they serve it!

Decent pub, just so happens they had Karaoke and everyone was on a high enjoying the evening. The staff were friendly, toilets were clean and good handwashing facilities. Stop by if you are near, i recommend it.

Good service with welcome hello and a smile,very good choice of beers,food was excellent.We sat inches rear garden,antibacterial gel on every table,or you could sit out front and watch the world go by.

My friend and I had lunch here. The service was very good- friendly and efficient. The Covid rules were all in place which made us feel safe. The fish was excellent with the lightest, tastiest batter. Will be back.

Independently owned (I think) local pub. Good choice of drinks. Currently limited food due to covid and new ownership settling in. Indoor and outdoor seating. Clean, comfortable, pleasant atmosphere. A little pricey (but fair enough given recent times).

Terrible food, I'd struggle to visit again

Served by the lovely Rachel, had the lasagne with chips, garlic bread & salad. Good size portions & very tasty ,& hot when served. not too much but not too little. I had this on a Wednesday when the desert comes free with main meal. For deset I had bread & butter pudding with custard, very nice size portion & full of fruit. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal indeed. A far better menu & service than previous landlord.

For months I have gone past this pub wondering why it’s always deserted. Now I know why. Don’t let the new interior fool you, this place is an absolute let down. I must firstly say the lady who served us today was really polite and friendly and went out of her way to help explain in further detail what was on the menu. She cannot be faulted. Unfortunately the compliments end here. I ordered a burger and chips (surely you can’t go wrong?) but no. £10.00 for a burger van style burger (with the bright yellow plastic cheese). I was really disappointed. The burger was bland, dry and burnt on the outside. It’s the sort of burger you expect from those grubby burger vans on the side of the road for a quid, not a newly renovated and seemingly nice pub. My friend (who was here as a birthday treat) ordered the chicken pie. Even worse. The ‘pie’ arrived in a dish, with no pasty base or sides just a dish of watery gravy with ripped up slices of sandwich thin ham (awful!) and a burnt crusty lid. It was shambolic! Chef: quit the day job and please make your New Years resolution to find a new career. It’s not too late! All in all a complete waste of time. I won’t be coming back and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone (expect someone I don’t like).

We had a fantastic time here to celebrate the New year. The buffet was very good as was the entertainment. The Hi Di Hi Yellowcoats kept the party atmosphere going.
