We visited this afternoon on a long bike ride and found the Jungle room a fabulous place to stop and refresh ourselves. We both had the grilled cheese sourdough sandwich, which was extremely tasty. I also had a very, very good cup of coffee to accompany it. The final bill was a snip given the superb quality of the food and service. The nice touch at the end was our server offering to fill up our water bottles. Great stuff

Lovely setting, very nice decor with lots of house plants very nice outside seating in good weather. Very pleasant polite staff this Tuesday 24 oct. A tad expensive we thought but hey ho. Had garlic mushrooms on sourdough, nice but cooked with veg oil, no real need to use loads of that, splash of olive oil but tiny as sauce is added later, bottled but ok. These comments meant as constructive feedback not criticism by far. We will come back and try rest of the menu for sure👍

Visited here for the first time. It was certainly somewhere different. We had read the menus online and all seemed nice. We were told that the poached eggs that were advertised online were not available in that place. Guess it was in their place in Wissett. Three of us had a large sausage roll with olives and onion marmalade. Must say it was all delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We went there to order lunch, and our mistake, no lunch on weekends. The staff was helpful, the food was delicious and creative. The theme is cats, no surprise. It's a very small place, maybe 10 tables, and while the staff is nice, the postings around the cafe are clear that they want you to leave when you're done eating. There's a "no camping" theme aimed at turning over tables. Also on the back of the drinks menu is a list of funny/snarky rules about how guests should behave in their cafe. I get the "don't drink and drive" comment. Some I find a little much though. YMMV. They will charge % if you use a credit card, and will give you a discount if you wear either cat eye glasses or a cowboy hat (or both) while you're eating. If we go again instead of going for savory substance we'll try sweet treats. There's cumin in the salsa.

Why anyone would choose to call a cafe Tickety Boo is beyond me but the food is good and you don't eat the name! Very strange and off-putting style where they take your money before you eat - which meant we didn't order any cake after our meal as we couldn't be bothered to queue and pay all over again. None of the diners I've seen in here look like the type that would run off without paying! Despite this the food really was excellent and I will be back for more.

After becoming medically gluten and dairy free recently, I have trawled through menus from lots of places and was quite disappointed. I fortunately found the Shepherd and Dog had an extensive gluten free menu. Today I was finally able to eat out gluten and dairy free. Great understanding of both intolerances. Food was lovely and freshly made, will definitely be back again. Lovely garden to have lunch in the sunshine too 😊

Went there Christmas Eve with friends, 10 of us, including one in a wheelchair. Landlady watched us come thru the door, struggling with wheelchair in the process, and once we got in there bluntly told us there were no tables vacant and we couldn’t stand anywhere either. We asked how about out the back and were rudely told “no, it’s laid up for tomorrow”. So we had to turn round and leave without getting g served. Her attitude was appalling and extremely rude - there certainly would have been a more polite way of turning us away. Will never go there again till it’s sold to new owners. Luckily we have another extremely friendly and welcoming pub in the village so Christmas Eve was still great for us.
