The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Market Cambridge East of England

when we go into Cambridge we always call in to Shelly and Sarah's for a lovely Bacon roll and a mug of tea. we even take our grandchildren there as they love the food and drinks. The prices are very good and reasonable and nothing is to much trouble for them.

This is the ultimate decadent experience for chocolate lovers. The barista pointed me to the menu on the counter- I expected to see the standard fare of coffees and was delighted by the extensive selection of chocolates you can choose to customise your fav bev. It ranges fr ~34% to 100%, and you can choose a mixture or single estate. We went for the 49% single origin Venezuelan cocoa. I couldn’t tell you the difference between single vs mixed cocoa beans, but it was the most delicious hot chocolate we had ever had. The milk felt micronised and left a perfectly velvety taste. The sweetness of the 49% was perfect without adding extra sugar (probably could go darker if you want it less sweet). The Knoops origin story is cool and if you panic at the top of the queue, check out their website for the menu before heading in. Cost wise, probably a more expensive brew than other cafes, but makes a nice first date joint (and then you have an excuse to for a second date to try the higher % in a blind taste test) Sorry: - can’t post the website here- Tripadvisor will ban the review ;) - forgot to take pictures (so will need to go back!)

It would be nicer if people who work here chat with each other less and more focus on serving a bit faster! The quality of coffee is great.

Really cozy little place with a good atmosphere.

I had a great visit to Foy Cafe! The sourdough tasted incredibly fresh, and the overall quality definitely stood out. I was impressed that the order was delivered in just 15 minutes. Super convenient, encountering how busy they are. The highlight is definitely the location, right in front of the river, offering beautiful views that make the whole experience even more relaxing. On top of that, the waitress was extremely friendly and welcoming, always smiling and ready to help. It really made the visit feel warm and pleasant. Highly recommend for a casual bite with a view!

Came to Cambridge to meet friends from Hong Kong, looked up traditional pub and came up with this one. Went for a look in the afternoon, greeted by friendly bar staff, had a drink in the snug, even acknowledged us leaving. Went back in the evening with friends and once again greeted by friendly staff and customers, made to feel so welcome, even in a busy pub. Makes me want to come back again to spend longer there. Thank you for those smiley faces :)

A favourite spot for coffee, just wish the food was a bit better for the price. The Locker is always busy and cosy, and the coffee and service are outstanding. The brunch is good but there are better options for the same price elsewhere.

Another local I used to frequent when I lived in St Ives, now I live in the US. I didn't have anything to eat on this visit, but I had in the past, and the food was pretty good. The service and atmosphere has not changed, which is good.

Best coffee in town. Spectacular Machiato and pistachio croissant. If you love coffee and miss the real thing, this is your place.

Best hidden spot for a coffee in the heart of cambridge

Great looking food, unfriendly owners. The food here continues to look fantastic, and I've always appreciated the atmosphere and friendly staff during my visits over the years. However, since the change in ownership, the layout of the bar area feels a little unusual and doesn't quite have the same welcoming feel. I have also found the new owner to be less approachable and occasionally a bit sharp. It's a real pity because the menu looks excellent – clearly there's a very talented chef in the kitchen. It would be great to see some attention given to other areas to match this standard. We have stopped coming in recently as we have found more relaxing places elsewhere in Cambridge. While the fine dining experience remains outstanding (a definite 10 out of 10), the drinks and casual relaxation aspect could be improved, as it currently comes across as rather pretentious.
