We stumbled across this lovely traditional pub on a recent trip to the area. The staff were friendly and the beer tasted great. A special mention must go to the fantastic food. A decent concise menu but every dish a winner. Our kids loved the pasta but our favourite was the beef bourguignon. The perfect warming antidote to these winter days. We spent a lovely couple of hours there on a Sunday and will hopefully be back soon.

Went to Tesco cafe Saturday , was served by Andy he was very advisable about the food and drinks , he was so polite and a great sense of humour it was a pleasure to be served by him , he was right about recommending me the fish finger wrap with waffle fries followed by a lemon muffin I wasn't waiting long for the food to arrive at my tablet , good job by the team

The server was polite enough and found our seats after a few minutes of searching the computer, even though the cafe had 6 other patrons there. We ordered: bacon and berries stacked pancakes, and a piglet full breakfast. We got, 7 blueberries with three small barely warm pancakes, 4 rashers of streaky bacon, and syrup. One small rasher of bacon, a tbs of baked beans, one small piece of toast, one sausage, for the piglet full English. One flat white coffee (lukewarm) and one small latte. This cost us £24.45

I booked an afternoon tea for 3 people here, well in advance of Mother's Day. Payment is taken in advance and we paid £66, which in hindsight, was very overpriced. I've been here before and enjoyed the food, so I thought it would be a nice place to bring Mum on Mother's Day. The parking situation is not the best. It is a very tight car park, with space for about 20 cars. Sometimes it's better to park in Morrisons across the road. We arrived just before 12.30 and waited for our table to be ready. We were seated upstairs on what was essentially a table for 2, so it was a bit cramped for the 3 of us and there was not a lot of room on the table when the food came out, as demonstrated by the piece of cake that fell off the cake stand and straight into my Mum's cup of tea! I understand why they do this, but comfort was thrown out of the window in favour of profit. There was nothing to suggest it was Mother's Day. Previous places we've been to have had small promotions for the Mum's or table decorations, at least something to distinguish the day, but nothing here. The stand of food was brought out and we were left to it. There were sandwiches, scones and mini cakes. The sandwiches- egg mayo, ham, cheese and chutney, brie and grape and falafel and guacamole- were really nice and the best part of the afternoon tea by far. It could have done with some crisps or quiche or a sausage roll, just another savoury something before hitting all the sweet stuff. The scones were very stodgy and, disappointingly, only came with butter and jam. It was only when we saw another afternoon tea come out to the table next to us that we realised we should've had clotted cream. This really irked Mum! She questioned it and we were given 3 little pots of clotted cream. Too late by that point though. There was then a selection of mini cakes, none of which I would order again. Overall it just felt very disappointing and underwhelming and not the nice afternoon tea I was hoping for for Mother's Day.

Mine and my partners favourite cafe!! We try to visit around once a week. Today we visited just before closing time, the staff were amazing, still made us our food and didn’t rush us even though it was their time to leave. Always extremely happy with the service, food and pricing. 10/10 Outstanding cafe. Thank you for your incredible hospitality on every visit.

Floralands Kitchen staff extremely RUDE & DISCOURTEOUS. I am 76 years old, disabled and on crutches. I arrived at 3:50pm for a quick coffee. Several staff kept watching me, at the counter, and kept me waiting for 10 minutes. On the stroke of 4:00pm, a young girl came over, watched by other staff members, and unapologetically stated : "It's 4-o-clock. We're closed" ...and just stared at me. Words failed me. I turned and left. As a retired business owner, I would have been highly proactive dealing with the actions of any other business situate in my premises, especially bearing the "same name" that could affect my prime business. I was a Floralands Garden Centre customer too, but they show no interest in how the performance of the integral cafe (bearing the same name) reflects badly on the Garden Centre, but simply claim total independence, accept no responsibility and offer no assistance. They don't care. Yet, the cafe cannot and does not open / function without the Garden Centre ??? Independent, or not, I have used this garden centre for decades with different owners (and different cafe owners) spending thousands of pounds. This experience has moved me and my money elsewhere, not associated with either of these businesses.

Booked a pitch for 2 days in our motorhome. Easy to book, texts from staff were helpful and informative when booking. Nothing was too much trouble. Although next to a train line, the noise was not intrusive, it is a nice peaceful site. Hedges around the pitches were nicely maintained. Delighted that there was live entertainment on the Saturday night, the excellent Cardee. Pub is great, plenty of choice. No food but able to order takeaway for delivery to site. Again the staff were helpful and welcoming. There's fishing on site (although the weather was awful so we will need to go back to try it 😊). Well worth a visit, would highly recommend.
