The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Buxton Central High Peak East Midlands

Lovely dog friendly pub we stumbled upon whilst going on Tissington trail from Hartington. Follow the public signs for Biggin.

Was visiting Buxton (staying at Queens Head) but someone recommended The Swan for its quiz (it is a great pub too). What a fantastic quiz-master - does not stand for cheats who google on their phones! Best version of Stand-up Bingo as well.

We called in for a couple of drinks on a night in Buxton. There was a great buzz to the place. Didn’t have to wait long at the bar. Prices were good - we tried the titanic ale and gin.

was in Buxton recently and called in for a meal we both had the lounge breakfast, 2 very big plate fulls and very nice food served by two young ladies both excellent a return visit is a must thanks

A quick stop to this place for breakfast at our time in Derbyshire. Also brought toast and soup which we liked

Good service, nice staff, good toilet and open a bit later than most everywhere else in Buxton.

Myself and my wife along with another couple called in on Hargreaves cafe for an afternoon tea for each couple to share. Because we were sharing we required another cup and saucer. When I asked for this I was told that I would be charged £3.50 for the empty cup and saucer. Soggy bread sandwiches made up the afternoon tea. When we asked for more sugar we were given a sachet each, penny pinching in the extreme. Also included at no extra cost was a very grubby tablecloth (paper). After paying the bill we left the premises in shock at having to pay £3.50 for an empty cup and saucer. Needless to say we shall not be making a return visit, for the money absolute rubbish

Sat outside opposite the main seating area had 1 small dog with us a family of 6 to be told no dogs finish your drink and leave!.. Buxton a walking town no dogs makes no sense and are loosing so much custom as at least 10 people turned away while we were there

We loved our lunch here, and the service was excellent! It was a big contrast with another place we tried earlier, where they halted service for 10 minutes in order to "catch up" - how ridiculous! We were made to feel welcome at Stars, despite it being busy, and couldn't fault our delicious food, at a good price too 😋. They're missing a trick by not having Buxton pudding on the menu though - surely we're not the only people who like to sample local specialities when visiting a place for the first time?

walked in and was ignored by staff. no one else in but they look like they wanted to clean up we looked at table and it said cream tes £7.00 well this would have been fine if it was to share as you got teo “ scones” not scones ! The server then said £15🤨 it was my birthday so accepted it but omg when it came out( see picture)

Myself and my family visited this cafe for lunch. We asked for chicken nuggets chips and peas. The cafe assistant (Mel) came to are table with waffle fries instead of chips. We politely asked her why she had served us waffle fries instead of chips and she very rudely snapped back at us "YOU WERE MEANT TO SAY FRIES, WE DON'T DO CHIPS." We asked her why she decided to give us waffle fries. She just gave us a horrible look and walked off. Where on earth does chips mean waffle fries? I think this employee needs to attend a customer care training course. This is not the first time we have had nasty staff in this cafe.
