The Wye Bridge House is a handsome stone building facing a small park, although do be careful if approaching on foot as the roads nearby are extremely busy, with no proper crossing places. Luckily many drivers in Buxton are considerate and will slow down to wave you across - thankyou all! This Wetherspoon's has a really nice relaxed family vibe, with a dining area to the right as you enter. We ordered via the app and our drinks arrived almost immediately, followed in short order by our food, which was very good (scampi and cod) The staff here are deserving of a mention for their friendly attitude and professional approach - it was so nice to see such positivity! Afterwards it was lovely to have a short walk in the adjoining Ashwood Park, where you can spot trout in the River Wye from a little bridge, before taking your life in your hands again to return to the town centre. I recommend the Wye Bridge House whole heartedly, and will def initely visit again.

We tried to order off the app but it didn’t work, the food that I ordered was not good. I had the steak pudding it was very dry, even with the gravy. Very disappointing

Our first visit to this weatherspoons , food and drink were excellent, staff was outstanding, couldn't do enough for you, my mother in law was in a wheelchair and the support from the staff was exceptional,will definitely return, thank you to all the staff.

Friendly service but only one member of staff so very slow. Other staff eventually came but there was a long queue by then.

Waitress cleared tables but didn't wipe them over. Our table was filthy when I cleaned it myself before leaving with a napkin and Dettol hand sanitizer. Extremely unhygienic.

Great location and food is good.

Nice pub, cosy. Not expensive att all and yet a good range of drinks and food. Best food we had in that area and I even managed to get a proper English cider (dry, unfiltered). The Indian food was great.

Food good and reasonably priced. Service is quick when ordered via the app. It can get quite busy in this place and noisy at times so choose your times carefully if you just want a quiet drink.

Called in on a day out. As with all Wetherspoons, the food is of good standard and reasonably priced. Lovely location.

Didn't have food but nice pub just had drinks wasn't fussed with the wine I suppose you get what you pay for

Steak night is usually hot but this was almost cold. Far too noisy room.... could do with some soft furnishings.

My first experience of a branded pub in the UK. The app to order food and drinks was great, and the food arrived quickly. The food though was basic, my Chicken breast was dry and overcooked, burger needed more sauce, was dry as well. The food though still tasted ok, it was just lacking in care. Cheap enough though, and a good selection of beers

Was going to sit outside and have a meal and a drink until we seen NO DOGS ALLOWED shocked as Buxton seems a really dog friendly lovely town, even a lot of the shops are dog friendly. Even if you had a section outside that was dog friendly, as a part on the side, there were no persons sitting there at all only the front was busy. I would preferr to have given you a ZERO star but unfortunately that was not a option 😕

Lovely place, not too busy when we were there. Food well cooked and staff friendly.

I got charged for a coffee only to be told the coffee machine was broken. Nice one. Other than that it was decent!

Firstly: Gents/Lads/Homies... Ears open to the ready.. this be the 1st Spoons you don't need to climb the wooden hill for a slash, piss pots are on the ground floor a short stagger round the corner from the bar. Ladies, sorry, you'll need to make the climb. Standard microwaved food tat but does the job when needed. No attendance from staff to ask how bad it is but guess they know so don't need reminding.

Food was great, served quickly, nice and hot and staff very efficient. Great value for money. It was kept clean and was a nice comfortable place to sit and relax after a busy day. No car park but there is a pay and display one a 5 min walk away or one further in town.

This place serves as an example of what every spoons should be: lovely staff, pristine toilets, nice characterful building. Imagine the beer garden would be good when it's sunny!

One of the nicer Wetherspoons located a short walk from the main shopping street in Buxton.Only downside no on-site parking but there are car parks close by.

Amazing, I just loved it. I've been two times now, I wish it was my local pub. The downside is that it is a good walk from the main part of the town, but well worth it. I had a mixed grill that was spot on.

You can’t fault a Wetherspoons for good food and great service and extremely reasonable prices. Called here on the way back from Manchester and it was every bit as expected and the weather was fantastic to add to that great summer feel.

Great for meeting friends and be able to chat with cheap food and drinks.

I ate here with my family over a weekend recently on three consecutive nights. The service was swift and friendly and the food was delicious and a consistent standard each night. It was extremely busy but the staff worked hard to ensure that tables were tidied swiftly whilst being friendly and professional. After a mix up one evening with a meal, the issue was swiftly rectified and didn’t affect the enjoyment of our meal. All in all, a nice building and atmosphere to eat in, with delicious food and friendly and professional staff, highly recommended.

Passed the city at about midnight, and the joint was still fire. Wished I could stop for a bite. Maybe next time, buddy.

Called here to eat and had the breakfast brunch ( I think it's called) It was ok, that's all. Our table also hadn't been cleared from the previous occupant but never mind. It's Wetherspoons. Still, we'd go again

Great place for a meal or just a drink. Only negative is the lack of parking. Very difficult and not good for people with mobility problems.

I called in here for breakfast. The standard bacon and egg breakfast was good, freshly cooked, and served within minutes of me ordering it. Helpful staff too. I returned in the afternoon to enjoy a pint sitting at the front of the pub, in the sunshine. Great location and outside seating areas.

Most community focused weather spoons ever. Great evening with community quiz. This pub should be held up as a brilliant example.

Great Spoons, slightly out of town with motorcycle parking

It's not bad for a Spoons, has a garden but is by a busy roundabout on a busy road. Park in town and walk there, it's not in the centre, just on the edge which is good. Staff are friendly and beer selection is OK. Well maintained and big enough that there's always a table in my experience.

Shame we could only leave 1 star. Waited over half an hour for a breakfast that was small and cold. Even when we received our drinks we greeted the server who didn’t even bother to acknowledge us. Received our food eventually, 5 minutes before breakfast closed and was starving so didn’t even bother to complain. No one came and asked about the food… wonder why? Regular spoons goer but by far the worst of the 50+ spoons I’ve been to. Don’t even bother.

I only go to pubs for events, but it was relaxed, quite noisy but not extremely noisy, good service and decent food for the price payed. The downside is that you will have to park your car a bit further away since there isn't a dedicated parking space for this pub

We popped in for Thursday curry night and it didn't disappoint. The lady who served me who i think may have been a manager was brilliant, she was on the ball with serving me and putting my order through, and i could tell she was working hard because didn't stop rushing around. The food came out in super quick time. Toilets were clean. I would definitely return to this whetherspoons.

A lot of people who possibly should not be being served any more alcohol. Food was not the hottest but acceptable.

Popped in for coffee and a catch up. Love the building and location. Ashwood Park next door with playground, pathways and a babbling Brook. The pub has a large eating area at one end ( although you can eat anywhere). Cosy and comfy at the other end. Outdoor seating.

Really is one of the better pubs in the chain... Update.. Had some food there today. Worst fish and chips ever!! It was basically batter with some dried fish bits... I know the old saying, "You get what you for", but their prices have been insidiously keeping up for a long time!! Won't eat there again..

It was a busy Saturday afternoon and we ordered some food at the tap and got served in 5 minutes. Food tasted lovely, great selection of beers too for a very reasonable price!

Lovely breakfast here. A standard spoons as you would expect. Eggs Bendict was delicious. Refill tea. Affordable breakfast. Parking is opposite the pub under the bridge. Cheap parking.

Pretty cosy, if a weatherspoons is your normal haunt this will be not disappoint. The back area with wooden panel walls is the best area in my opinion.

Kitchen being refurbished so didn't stay.

Walked in was easy to find a table as wasn't busy, ordered food and drinks both came quickly, portion size has gone down but prices have gone up quite a bit, grilled chicken was very dry and not really edible, butter milk chicken burger was very thin and not very tasty.

Went for breakfast with me mother only to find the kitchen shut for refurbishment coffee was good a proper flat white

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food that I received as it was a mixed grill a different verity of meats not cooked very well as everything overcooked and even if it wasn't it would have been very disappointing anyway everything cheap even dirty cutlery and tables even the drinks glasses were cloudy apart from that all the bar staff and restaurant staff 💯 excellent service so sorry I had to put this review on as your comment was 💯 thanks 😁

It's a wetherspoons. You get what you pay for. Staff friendly. Quick turn around on our food. Would go there again if in the neighbourhood

I loved the crispy chicken burger and it came with a generous amount of chips. The service was amazing, with my food coming 3 minutes after I ordered. The worst part was a Manchester United fan.

I've always loved a spoons, it's nice food for not a lot of money. The staff are lovely and kid friendly. I'd only say that the steak and chips felt a bit lacking, I definitely got what I asked for but was still quite hungry afterwards. I think if the mixed grill can have tomato and mushroom then so can a normal steak dinner. I do require a lot of food though so I could just be a glutton

Standard wetherspoons , on a busy main road. One thing I wasn't impressed with was that a couple ordered approx 8 rounds of mixed drinks , countless shots, wines, beer, cider within about an hour and no one thought to refuse to serve them , when it was clear that they only wanted to get hammered as quick as possible. Dangerous and irresponsible

A beautifully set Wetherspoons in the Derbyshire town of Buxton. Looks across to a park and the viaduct and the interior was that of an old country house. It makes a change to see a well kept Spoon's. The food and drink was the usual standard but it was actually warm which made a change. I would definitely repay this a visit.

A Wetherspoons pub always seems to deliver and The Wye Bridge House in Buxton, is no exception.The food was consistently good, always had great beers on special ( as well as the usual suspects) and the wait/bar staff were helpful and friendly. The Manager on duty there works like a Trojan, to make sure everything is good with the punters and tables are served or cleaned, promptly. We had dinner here, three days in a row and I can honestly say, it was all up to spec. Can't fault the quality and VFM.

Called before and after a gig and the pub was busy. Great atmosphere, and a good musician playing , but was very annoyed at a member of staffs attitude. Took my drink whilst talking to my wife from alongside me thinking O had finished it. Tried to catch him him and explain I hadn't finished drink but he had placed another glass in it so was too late. Poor attitude toe no apology, just a shrug of shoulders ! Went to buy another, he actually served me no offer of not paying for the half, arrogant !

The accessibility is terrible- there IS available parking behind the pub because there are 4 vehicles parked there at present- disabled people swivel, struggle, we don’t care!!

Truly excellent steak, the best I've had in a long time. Fast friendly service. Reasonable price considering cost of living rise, withe the best steak meal and a drink for around £13. Highly recommend the cookie dough desert for taste but the desert price was far too expensive for the portion size.

You get to taste numerous Ale according to season and i try every Ale.
