I recently had the Full English Breakfast at Wye Bridge House in Buxton, and it was a great start to the day! This cozy pub has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed breakfast. The service was friendly and efficient, with the staff making sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. It’s also worth noting that, like most Wetherspoons locations, the value for money was excellent – a filling, tasty breakfast at a reasonable price. Great wetherspoons to pay a visit,good service and great atmosphere. Only popped in for drinks so I can't judge the food.

First trip to Buxton and went here for lunch. Really nice meal. Warm inside very clean toilets and staff very pleasant. Couldn't fault highly recommended.

Popped in for breakfast/brunch. Good value for money breakfast,especially the veggie options .Service excellent.

Nice big pub. plenty out door seating ,and there is a carpark 2mins away play area at the side to but don't no if it belongs to wetherspoons

Well maintained, good decor and ample seating in the Spoons. The food was the standard Spoons food which we have no complaints about and the staff seemed to always be keeping themselves busy. Will return when back in this neck of the woods!

Could it be that there are not enough staff? Visited 9/3/24 the food was excellent and tables cleared promptly Only niggle was doors locked open and windows open - it was 8c outside Visited again 22/6/24 Food excellent service great Only bad point was that the menus need binging or cleaning Great service and tables cleared quickly Visited 26/10/24 we had breakfast Unfortunately it was only just warm

Great value for money breakfast

This Wetherspoon's pub seems to prioritise serving food fast rather than quality. We ordered the vegetarian burgers and it was delivered in about 4 minutes. However the burgers were cold and the chips were soggy and cold. Very poor meal.

Fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere, and totally relaxed.

The fish was curled like banana and was sat under air conditioning as is with most places to sit in there our dinner was cold with been under air con my dad is 94 and was complaining about being cold as was all of us told three people to turn it off and was told it's broke and doesn't turn off properly was basically ignored

Would have been nice to be able to park at the establishment with being disabled but otherwise it was a pleasant experience

Staff welcoming and very polite. We came to Buxton for an event at the opera house came for something to eat. Needed some local info regarding parking etc. Staff very obliging happy to recommend this place without a doubt.

Usually call past on sunny days, stop for a pizza, or fish & chips, and a drink, always had great service, food arrives promptly, and has been consistently good quality, this is my go to when coming through Buxton, and will remain so ! 👍👍👍

Love this place. One minute away from the town centre. Situated on the edge of a park. Always busy. Great staff. Fab service. As cheap for food and a beer as it gets, But of a decent standard nevertheless. Even the toilets are nice.... and clean.

Great place for a lunch stop as it has a very pleasant garden with lots of tables and a nice outlook over the park. Food and drink is the usual fantastic value.

Excellent place in a sunny day The beer garden at the front is lovely and spacious and has a non-smoking area which is really nice As usual the wine is well priced and we had a small all day brunch which was more than enough, cooked well, very warm and excellent value If you’re in Buxton give it try you’ll be surprised at just how nice it is

Another nice building Saved by. Spoon's. We've visit a lot on our holiday touring the south coast midlands and Derbyshire. At this one, The Wye Bridge, our pizzas were great as usual. The beer, good, as usual. The table service, good as usual. The attitude of the bar staff including the manager at the time was unwelcoming, uncaring and rude. I believe I explained to the bar person , they had drowned my whisky, having filled it to the top of the tumbler. She shouted that that was how she was trained, pushing the glass closer toward me and stepping back from the bar, they said that I could see the manager about it if I wanted. Unnecessarily escalating the situation out of proportion. Surprisingly the bar manager agreed that that is how they were trained to poor a "splash" of water. I was curtly given a fresh drink. Also drowned. I did not point out the error. There was no point. We left shortly after. I was made to feel like a teacher, telling pupils it was wrong to bully and being bullied for it. I've submitted a complaint to the official website already but surprisingly I've not had any response. Maybe standards have slipped as there are too many complaints to respond to? May be it's a sign of the times.

I had eggs benadict for a breakfast with a coffee ,couldn't fault the place ,good food , excellent service and clean tables ,best of all the tiolets are on the ground floor.

Terrible food service. Out of four people served, two of us got the meals messed up. #1 breakfast missing hash browns and mushrooms; #2 breakfast - asked them to remove beans, bread, hash browns and add eggs instead. Got served almost empty plate. Just two strips of bacon, two sausages, small mushroom and a tomato. Ridiculous. 2 stars only as the egg benedict meal looked good.

It's a Wetherspoons, they have Worthingtons on draught! We had a Sunday morning breakfast which was top notch so if you are in the area, call in! Look at my other reviews to see where I've been!

Called for breakfast to be turned away because we had a dog . The outside has lots of seating and only 2 tables occupied so didn't see the problem , we found a much nicer place that allowed dogs inside .Definitely don't recommend .

The Wye Bridge House is a handsome stone building facing a small park, although do be careful if approaching on foot as the roads nearby are extremely busy, with no proper crossing places. Luckily many drivers in Buxton are considerate and will slow down to wave you across - thankyou all! This Wetherspoon's has a really nice relaxed family vibe, with a dining area to the right as you enter. We ordered via the app and our drinks arrived almost immediately, followed in short order by our food, which was very good (scampi and cod) The staff here are deserving of a mention for their friendly attitude and professional approach - it was so nice to see such positivity! Afterwards it was lovely to have a short walk in the adjoining Ashwood Park, where you can spot trout in the River Wye from a little bridge, before taking your life in your hands again to return to the town centre. I recommend the Wye Bridge House whole heartedly, and will def initely visit again.

Very impolite bar staff, outside the seating area, different areas for dogs . people who smoke and people who don't smoke, but obviously ,people smoked in the no smoking area .Obviously, they can't read or they don't respect people who don't smoke,

Five stars based on wetherspoons being a budget friendly pub. Food lost one star for tough sirloin steak. Good reasonably priced food, excellent beer. Nice garden.

Had a every day breakfast there, very pleasent place to be, open grounds for walking. With Buxton High St close at hand for shopping

We tried to order off the app but it didn’t work, the food that I ordered was not good. I had the steak pudding it was very dry, even with the gravy. Very disappointing

Our first visit to this weatherspoons , food and drink were excellent, staff was outstanding, couldn't do enough for you, my mother in law was in a wheelchair and the support from the staff was exceptional,will definitely return, thank you to all the staff.

Very busy day on Tuesday as the sun was out. Staff over run. So the place wasn't been cleaned as quick as usual. Staff quite fraught. Lots of children running amok. Steak was good for the money. Will return.

Great service and friendly staff

Waitress cleared tables but didn't wipe them over. Our table was filthy when I cleaned it myself before leaving with a napkin and Dettol hand sanitizer. Extremely unhygienic.

Great location and food is good.

Nice pub, cosy. Not expensive att all and yet a good range of drinks and food. Best food we had in that area and I even managed to get a proper English cider (dry, unfiltered). The Indian food was great.

Food good and reasonably priced. Service is quick when ordered via the app. It can get quite busy in this place and noisy at times so choose your times carefully if you just want a quiet drink.

Steak night is usually hot but this was almost cold. Far too noisy room.... could do with some soft furnishings.

My first experience of a branded pub in the UK. The app to order food and drinks was great, and the food arrived quickly. The food though was basic, my Chicken breast was dry and overcooked, burger needed more sauce, was dry as well. The food though still tasted ok, it was just lacking in care. Cheap enough though, and a good selection of beers

Was going to sit outside and have a meal and a drink until we seen NO DOGS ALLOWED shocked as Buxton seems a really dog friendly lovely town, even a lot of the shops are dog friendly. Even if you had a section outside that was dog friendly, as a part on the side, there were no persons sitting there at all only the front was busy. I would preferr to have given you a ZERO star but unfortunately that was not a option 😕

I got charged for a coffee only to be told the coffee machine was broken. Nice one. Other than that it was decent!

Firstly: Gents/Lads/Homies... Ears open to the ready.. this be the 1st Spoons you don't need to climb the wooden hill for a slash, piss pots are on the ground floor a short stagger round the corner from the bar. Ladies, sorry, you'll need to make the climb. Standard microwaved food tat but does the job when needed. No attendance from staff to ask how bad it is but guess they know so don't need reminding.

As a local i was treated badly and left early to return who knows when! Bar lacking atmosphere because of one guys sense of self importance. It was like a morgue. Why did the management onsite allow it to happen? Lots of dissapointed regulars. Better places to watch The Euros for sure!

Food was great, served quickly, nice and hot and staff very efficient. Great value for money. It was kept clean and was a nice comfortable place to sit and relax after a busy day. No car park but there is a pay and display one a 5 min walk away or one further in town.

This place serves as an example of what every spoons should be: lovely staff, pristine toilets, nice characterful building. Imagine the beer garden would be good when it's sunny!

One of the nicer Wetherspoons located a short walk from the main shopping street in Buxton.Only downside no on-site parking but there are car parks close by.

Amazing, I just loved it. I've been two times now, I wish it was my local pub. The downside is that it is a good walk from the main part of the town, but well worth it. I had a mixed grill that was spot on.

You can’t fault a Wetherspoons for good food and great service and extremely reasonable prices. Called here on the way back from Manchester and it was every bit as expected and the weather was fantastic to add to that great summer feel.

Great for meeting friends and be able to chat with cheap food and drinks.

I ate here with my family over a weekend recently on three consecutive nights. The service was swift and friendly and the food was delicious and a consistent standard each night. It was extremely busy but the staff worked hard to ensure that tables were tidied swiftly whilst being friendly and professional. After a mix up one evening with a meal, the issue was swiftly rectified and didn’t affect the enjoyment of our meal. All in all, a nice building and atmosphere to eat in, with delicious food and friendly and professional staff, highly recommended.

Passed the city at about midnight, and the joint was still fire. Wished I could stop for a bite. Maybe next time, buddy.

Called here to eat and had the breakfast brunch ( I think it's called) It was ok, that's all. Our table also hadn't been cleared from the previous occupant but never mind. It's Wetherspoons. Still, we'd go again

Very busy, hardly surprising with good quality drink and food at great prices.

Great place for a meal or just a drink. Only negative is the lack of parking. Very difficult and not good for people with mobility problems.

Nipped in while visiting Buxton and it's a lovely pub in a nice spot.

I called in here for breakfast. The standard bacon and egg breakfast was good, freshly cooked, and served within minutes of me ordering it. Helpful staff too. I returned in the afternoon to enjoy a pint sitting at the front of the pub, in the sunshine. Great location and outside seating areas.

Most community focused weather spoons ever. Great evening with community quiz. This pub should be held up as a brilliant example.

Great Spoons, slightly out of town with motorcycle parking

It's not bad for a Spoons, has a garden but is by a busy roundabout on a busy road. Park in town and walk there, it's not in the centre, just on the edge which is good. Staff are friendly and beer selection is OK. Well maintained and big enough that there's always a table in my experience.

Shame we could only leave 1 star. Waited over half an hour for a breakfast that was small and cold. Even when we received our drinks we greeted the server who didn’t even bother to acknowledge us. Received our food eventually, 5 minutes before breakfast closed and was starving so didn’t even bother to complain. No one came and asked about the food… wonder why? Regular spoons goer but by far the worst of the 50+ spoons I’ve been to. Don’t even bother.
