The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Buxton Central High Peak East Midlands

We popped in for lunch while on a day trip to Buxton. A total gem of a place. Welcoming (for dogs too) and cosy with an impressive and varied vegan and vegetarian menu. We ate the soup, curry and quesadillas - all very tasty. The two staff were super friendly and helpful. Finding this lovely spot for lunch really made our day 💫

Have visited Lubens a few times now and I must say the customer service is excellent. Really friendly staff. We have also eaten there a few times and the food is great. Nice environment and not really a lot to fault. Well worth a visit. Can be very busy but easily understandable as it is a great experience.

Sunday roast is fabulous. Last time i ate all the food before i took a photo. The food is freshly cooked and the portions are generous. The service is friendly and everything is clean. A happy sunday roast.

A very welcoming small cafe with a big range of excellent appetising options. We separately sampled very tasty bacon and sausage cobs with equally good coffees. We saw the range of sandwiches and paninis, soups, and cakes available too. All these are home made in house. The locals clearly know it is the best around as it was busy with take aways too. We are tourists and will certainly come again when we are next in the area

It was such a treat to go out for lunch and to not have to ask a hundred questions about ingredients and how the food is prepared. Delicious lunch for my daughter and I. Fabulous ambience and tasty food, but best of all 100% gluten free. Paradise!

Absolutely fabulous milkshakes! So many flavours! Grandchildren looking forward to going again now it is open!

Fab little cafe with great food and beer - homemade cauliflower soup was superb and the small plate beetroot hummus and mushroom pate were delicious great attentive service.

Used to visit here with my 5yo Daughter before she started school full time. Unfortunately I stopped doing so when on two separate occasions I arrived to find they were closed well before their advertised closing time and on another occasion was turned away at 3.45pm when closing time was 4.30pm. Arrived today at 3.50pm after school, well in time for their 4.30pm closing time, having stupidly promised my daughter that we could go after she asked to 'go to the hot chocolate shop that does the chocolate mice'. Guess what....closed...cue the tears. There was a sign in the door mentioning closure due to bad weather, which must have been old because 5° and dry in Buxton is almost sunbathing weather. Very disappointing and a shocking way to run a business when opening hours are clearly displayed.

Fab breakfast bap !! Good prices and lovely staff that are welcoming and friendly ,Will def be back !!!

Lovely Country Pub. Great food and service. We visited on a Monday night and were pleasantly surprised at how busy the bar was. We had booked a table.

Let’s start with positives - lady working behind the bar was very friendly and talked us through all available drink. Place is bizarre, cluttered and just doesn’t make sense. With each minute that we spent in the beer garden me and my partner noticed more and more ridiculous things. Beer garden is interesting combination of storage area, £1 shop and a skip - you won’t find two identical tables or chairs, we sat next to cardboard cage and a big bin, above - bird hut, behind me and a metal cow which didn’t make sense either. Kitchen doors were constantly open which is fair with extreme temperatures but we have seen a staff member coming out and grabbing vegetables from garden storage box which was placed in customer areas, box wasn’t closed, secured and it wasn’t a refrigeration unit, anyone could access it at any point. And in 30 degree temperature weather those vegetables were not healthy! During 45 minutes visit not a single table was cleaned and nobody checked on customers dining and drinking outside. Overall I recommend this place if you like weird things!

Thoroughly enjoy every trip we have to red willow! It’s one of our regular spots and it’s always super friendly and welcoming, often have live music on, quizzes etc that are advertised on their social media. The selection of drinks is extensive and there is something for everyone! The staff are always super friendly and accommodating and it’s always kept lovely and clean. Can’t fault it at all, will keep going back 😊🩷

I really liked the atmosphere here but the person who took our order was quite disinterested. The food was disappointingly bland. It wasn’t made clear the tofu in the dish I ordered was scrambled and I needed a microscope to spot the advertised. avocado. It didn’t even amount to two spoonfuls. I queried it because I couldn’t find it at first! So I wouldn’t rush back.

Was visiting Buxton (staying at Queens Head) but someone recommended The Swan for its quiz (it is a great pub too). What a fantastic quiz-master - does not stand for cheats who google on their phones! Best version of Stand-up Bingo as well.
