Katy's Diner, Dove Holes in High Peak

Love this place, I go past it on the way to Longnor on my way back. I have a breakfast which is excellent and the staff are so nice. Also, the other customers are very helpful if you need help on your journey.

Excellent, no nonsense food serviced in a delightfully true to form diner experience. Highly recommended. This reminds me more of traditional diners than half the ones remaining in the United States.

She'll take your money but don't want you parking in the lay-by. She leaves snotty notes on your truck while you are at home. It's not your lay-by it's council and for public use. Totally bad attitude.

Called in on the way to Nottingham, ordered three large bacon cobs and a sausage for the dog. The bacon cobs were massive and packed with perfectly cooked bacon!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!! My partner and my daughter loved the cobs as well! And the dog made short work of the sausage! A little gem of a roadside diner, with great food, service. We will definitely return to Katy’s Diner 👍🏻

Had a full English that comes with a free cuppa. And it's one of the best breakfasts I've had in ages. Everything was cooked beautifully the eggs were runny. The bacon was well nice. I didn't have chance to read the newspaper and it was already out on the table. Definitely recommend and for the price you can't beat it 7pound full English two of everything and a free cup of tea or coffee definitely going back

How it’s taken me so long to visit here I don’t know. I’ve stopped in this lay-by many times! I can easily say when I stop here in future I will be eating here. Sausage, bacon, egg bap is delicious! Lovely ladies too!

Yum yum lovely breakfast bap . Nice and fresh food. …. Staff are lovely and clean services through and through . Sit down services in a clean environment and tables . Or take out services . You can also phone in advance if your passing .. ALL I CAN SAY IS GET A BREW AND A BUTTY BEFORE YOU JOIN THE QUEUE ON THE A6 in the Stockport direction .

Edible food and the women with the blond hair is very rude staff smoking outside then not washing hands then handling food

Had a cheese burger with onions was expecting a single 1/4lb with a slice of cheese at £4.50 was impressed with a 1/2lb of burger real onion and lots of it plus proper cheese and plenty of that as well in a dinner plate size bun burger was realy tender and juicy all in all the best food i have had at a road side diner in years well done would HIGHLY recommend

05/05/2023 12:00. Just had a very fresh and tasty sausage and egg bap from Katy. I wasn’t sure what to have, (bap,sandwich baguette etc) however the friendly staff said Katy’s BIG baps were brilliant. So with that support, I can only say Katy’s BIG baps are amazing, a definitely a nice mouthful! Enjoy!!

The large muffins are large. Really tasty food. Having toilet facilities is a bonus when on the road all day.

Dining alfresco so it's share a table. I was sharing a table with a tipper driver, conversation was flowing and it turned out we both knew a lot of people mutually!! Anyway the £6 breakfast we were having consisted of two of each bacon, sausage, egg, toast, beans and tomatoes all washed down with a bucket of tea. Call yourself to sample this cafe. incredibly efficient and friendly crew serving top quality food at a very fair price. Very clean , with fresh flowers on the tables and lovely floral displays outside. This is not your average roadside cafe, it’s much more than that.

I was driving up early from the Midlands for a walk in at Edale. I am SO glad I stopped here rather than somewhere on the M6. Friendly service, great food at low prices. A nice spot to sit in, very clean too. Will go again whenever visiting the Peak District!

Stopped here today for breakfast, it was very clean, the staff were very friendly and the food was spot on and all for a reasonable price. Would recommend and will be stopping by the next time i go past this way.

Called in with my wife, daughter in law and 3yo grandson. Really pleased with the place. Great food, nice and warm, clean tables and pleasant staff. Toasted cheese, sausage sandwich and plate of real homemade chips and hot teas.....great.

En Route to Bleaklow for a hike and temporary traffic lights in Dove Holes meant that traffic was backing up to the lay by where the Diner is, so I pulled in because I was hungry and wanted to plan an alternative route to Bleaklow. I had a large sausage and cheese bap and two rounds of toast to take away. It was very tasty, the toast was thick cut and the bap was fresh and the cheese grated finely. The sausages were well cooked and I had no complaints. The lady who brought the food to my car was polite and wished me a safe onward journey. I would definitely call by again.

Rude staff and poor quality, If I could give it no stars I would, I mean I didn't expect much from a porta cabin in a layby but hunger got the better of me. We stopped off for a bacon sandwich, once inside it looked grubby and a bit dirty but we took it out to eat in the car. My bacon was 90% fat and the bap was a bit crusty and hard as if it had been hanging around for a while, my husband had a sausage one which he declared as OK but he also classes eating wafer thin ham out of the pack lunch. If you want my advice keep driving.

Great staff and always a lovely breakfast

I’m not a fan of stopping at greasy spoon cafes......and as I walked in we knew this was not a greasy spoon cafe. Papers on the side, fresh flowers on the table, as we spilt our drinks it was wiped up immediately, service was excellent, food was hot and good atmosphere. My only suggestion, better quality sausages.
