very friendly, cosy and oh so nice chocolates. we had amaretto and tangerine little bon bons ! also dark hot chocolate and double espresso were superb! 10 out of 10 for me !

We visited Charlotte's chocolatier for ice cream and was very happy with the selection on offer. The price was fair and I was happy with the service we received. The chocolates behind the counter all looked amazing and would have liked to have stayed for chocolates and coffee, but sadly, we had other things to do.

What's not to like. Very good service.

Great chocolates travel an hour by car to get here and well worth it. If you want real chocolates go here. Also a coffee shop so you can have the best of both worlds with great cakes too.

After a long drive to Buxton we headed to Charlotte's for morning tea. What a quaint little cafe with a wide selection of home made cakes, scones, crumpets, etc. chocolates and ice cream. There is also a choice if gluten free options and a wide range of teas and coffees, It’s a morning and afternoon cafe that’s well worth a visit. A very welcoming atmosphere and great service.

The dark drinking chocolate is definitely worth it. Very unusual and tasty chocolates behind the counter.

The shop is quite small but the coffee cakes and chocolates are excellent! They also give you a free chocolate with your coffee!on nice days you can also sit outside.

A tiny tiny place in Buxton, with its own Chocolatier, the eponymous Charlotte, whom you can see making the chocolates that she sells through a viewing window (when she makes them). The chocolates are normally very, very fresh and are very tasty. You can also buy locally made ice cream here in various flavours, or sit at one of the four or so tables within the shop and order great Italian coffee or real hot chocolate (made from melted chocolate and hot milk). But be warned that the place really is tiny, so the seating arrangements are limited. Expect to share tables with other shoppers.

Coffee and a scone. Scones were homemade and absolutely delicious. A must if you are passing.

Nice little shop and cafe in the heart of Buxton Town Centre. Pleasant staff and the chocolates were great and well presented to be offered as a gift. Highly recommend a visit if in or passing through Buxton.

This as to be one of the nicest little shops/cafe around We had their hot chocolate drink and it was very Smooth and cream It is just across from the famous Buxton well and easy access to the tourist information centre also close to the Buxton Crescent Experience Having said all that we must thank all staff for their service EXCELLENT

Simply the best , always a great reason to visit Buxton. The most delicious individual creative chocolates delivered in style. The coffee is wonderful , only outdone by the superb friendly staff.

My wife and I ventured in on Monday 14th November, and as we enjoyed it so much, returned on Wednesday. All extremely good, and the extra chocolates were a great touch. Wish we lived nearer.

Wonderful tea shop serving fabulous cakes and especially glutamine free. As chocolates their chocolates are amazing. Staff are very friendly all in all a fabulous experience. Well worth a visit.

Stumbled across this place and was not disappointed. Supper friendly lady who served us with the most lovely cappuccino and blueberry muffin. 2 chocolates also appeared with our order which was a lovely touch. Excellent value for money… will definitely return on our next visit to Buxton.

Called in last Saturday (24th Sept) afternoon. We had coffee & got a free chocolate each to go with it. Lovely coffee shop will come here again when we go to Buxton again. They make own chocolate but not tried but will do

We called in just for quick cup of tea before visiting a nearby tourist experience. The price was very reasonable for a pot of tea rather ( cheaper than a local competitor,) and was much nicer than a tea bag in a cup, and the unexpected treat was a delicious chocolate on the side. We noticed how many lovely chocolate gifts they had on display too, so will definitely return. We ordered at the counter then sat down and service was quick too, which is what we needed on that occasion.

Nice cake (not cheap) but service not good. Plenty of staff but seemed to prefer to stand around chatting to each other rather than serve. Boss needs a chat!

Charming welcome by staff. Great old fashioned service. Waiter (who was studying Economics at Man Uni) was particularly good with customers.

Had a lovely tea, crumpets, tea cakes, scone and amazing hot chocolate. They had oat milk which was a bonus for me at an extra cost. They gave free milk chocolates aswell which were delicious. Only thing I'd say is that they could offer more breakfast items like toast to attract breakfast goers. Would come back if I ever come to visit Buxton again.

Coffee and cake fabulous. The chocolate caramel slice will be bringing my girlfriend and I back again. So to sum up price ok quality tops and lots of choice a very good 5 star coffee cake and chocolate shop.

My friend and i had a trully wonderful cream tea. The scones were slightly warm and fruity and you got a huge teapot , with really good tea. First time eating here as our usual more pricier cafe was too busy, definitely worth a visit. The chocolates are good aswell .

What a lovely little cafe serving home made chocolates and part of a lovely little shopping arcade hosting some lovely boutiques and little gems. A must see.

Bought a box of ‘connoisseur chocolates’ for £25 and can safely say they were the worst chocolates we’ve ever had the misfortune to taste. Bland fillings, occasional taste mainly of grand marnier, the rest might as well have been mush.

Small but cosy inside but mire seating out the front where you can watch the world go by. Cakes very tasty. Chocolates are delicious and made on the premises. A very good selection and a reasonable price. I bought Chocolates for a present and gad them gift wrapped for an extra £1. The recipient was very happy with the gift.

The cafe is only small inside, but has seating outside. We had a lovely welcome and we're offered dog treats and cuddles straight away. My friend ordered at servery. We had a pot of fruit tea and a skinny latte. Both were excellent and came with chocolates. We were made to feel very welcome. The chocolates and sweets on display looked so very tempting. We'd definitely be back

As you enter the Crescent Arcade the first shop come hot beverage venue is Charlottes Chocolates. The small interior is dominated by a glass counter displaying a wide range of tempting chocolate truffles. It has an air of a Belgian chocolatier with the tiled floor...

Went in for coffee. Never got served despite waiting 20 mins. Plenty of staff, just felt like they didn't want us there. Wont be going g back.

This place serves the most amazing hot chocolate, the best one I have ever tasted. They have a lot of options to choose from. They also have a wide variety of chocolates and cakes. And also cute little bags of chocolates for gifting. It’s a perfect spot in Buxton to stop for a treat. Must visit!!!

We called in on Sunday afternoon,sat outside . The very pleasant young lady served us with two coffees and complementary chocolates . One thing I did notice the coffees were hot and not luke warm. Good service we will call again when in Buxton .

My friend and I were visiting Buxton, lovely day and stopped for cake and coffee at Charlotte’s chocolate. We ordered cheesecake, flat white coffee with soy and cappuccino. The waitress brought the coffee out and as she put the coffee in front of us she...

Cheese cake was lovely but very unfortunate incident where the drinks got presented incorrectly which left my vegan friend tasting my milky cappuccino. They totally didn't understand my friend's distress and actually didn't care..... Although they apologised they were extremely offhand and said what else could they do. That lack of understanding plus the waitress handing us our coffees whilst touching the rims of both our cups was sadly extremely unprofessional.

Lovely little place, tasty drinks and even better chocolates… the young girl that served us was so lovely and polite. We even bought extra chocolates.

Lovely staff who were friendly and welcoming. Do feel that the chocolates were more style over substance unfortunately… we made a custom box that was around £20. Whilst a fun experience, these are not strong chocolates at all. Couldn’t taste the alcohol or different flavours, but if you’re looking for some mild tasting chocolates this’ll be for you.

Waitress was "star of the show" and could not have moved faster in roller skates! Food and drink first class and served quickly and efficiently and all done through a small serving hatch because of covid regs. Well done.
