We typically stop at Sylvie’s for a couple of bacon & egg baps (good old British “brunch”) and the food is always perfect. My wife likes her eggs with a hard yolk, but here 5hey are always JUST hard. In fact not far from perfect. Service is also always friendly. Hard to beat

I love this place! If you want welcome, honest affordable food cooked well, go here. The milky coffee is just as it should be and the rarebit is always cooked perfectly with a side salad and crisps. You’ll always have a warm welcome it’s friendly and relaxed

Was very busy when we popped in but was informed of the wait, staff polite and apologised, some customers not happy and not sure if they knew of delay but as only a small kitchen and all food made to order then it’s to be expected, food was very tasty and would definitely return again if in the area

We popped in to Syvlie’s for a bit of lunch and were not disappointed. Traditional, home cooked food and lovely service. Lots of choice.

Absolutely love it here, getting lost in the great selection of books then into the cafe where the service is amazing and the food is outstanding. So lucky that we live close by.

Visited here 17th April late afternoon. Have been a few times before and enjoyed it. My wife and I ordered a bottle of wine between us from the bar. £28 it was. I am fine with that. But towards the end of the bottle I noticed on the wine racks where bottles of wine are for sale the same bottle. All bottles have two prices , a take out price and a " drink in " price. Understandable. The bottle in question had a take out price of @ £6.50 and a "drink in " price of @ £21.50. I wonder why I was charged £28. There is a sign saying corkage will be charged but is not corkage the difference between the two prices? The barman who served me was not around for the last 10 minutes we were there so I could not ask him. I was not going to cause any fuss with the younger members of staff there so we finished the bottle and left. I wouldnt mind someone explaining these price differentials to me. Otherwise we are reasonable fans of this bar.

Just had a lovely traditional Thai dinner with friends. Everything was delicious! We will be back! Great to see Gluten Free options on the menu in their own section!

Good coffee, friendly staff, and actually in the station so handy for leaving it to the last minute to go for the train. I've not rated the food (so that's a "don't know" not a "horrible") as I only ever order tea or coffee, but the free bikkies are welcome

Great place and friendly, helpful staff. Such a shame they don't get more support.
