Amazing breakfast in Market Harborough on the high street. Wonderful place with a view of the church. The smashed avocado on taste was really sumptuous and the coffee was amazing. Great service from a family run place.

When I wrote a review for this delightful venue in August I had no idea that I would have the opportunity to revisit in September but our coach once again stopped in MH for a break so I hot footed it to Ruffles and experienced the same welcome as previously. They offer a variety of themthe most delicious home made scones as well as other goodies. Helpful staff, great service. I really enjoyed my tea and scone and maybe one day the coach will stop at MH again. This town has so much to offer, and is well worth a visit.

Recently moved to Market Harborough from London and have been wanting to try this place for a while. I had the breakfast burrito and can easily say it was probably one of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had. The coffee is great too. I’ll be returning lots!

Market Harborough is a fantastic market town with lots of independent shops. The Garage Bakehouse seems to be a good example of a small business and there was a queue. Everything smells good and it is well laid out so I was looking forward to buying. The service was chaotic (which should have been a red flag) and the older lady serving seemed flustered. I opted for white bread and a small selection of cakes. The bread was odd, I'm guessing it had not risen properly (not sure), it tasted wrong. The cakes were OK, although the order was incorrect. I decided to go back to complain later in the day, but it had closed, so I missed my chance. Perhaps this was a bad day at the bakery, but I will not bother again.

So disappointed with the service since they moved to kelmarsh! I’ve been a few times and the owner lady always seems so stressed and short with customers and sometimes staff! She doesn’t look as happy as she used to be at there other tea room. Today I simply asked for a slice of cheese to have with a cheese scone, and she stated they were far too busy with orders to cut cheese. I could have some grated cheese!! Apparently too busy and no work top space to cut cheese. I didn’t want grated cheese, especially if it’s pre packed , I just wanted a little slice of cheese! I don’t think that was too much to ask. I ended up having a fruit scone. She wasn’t bothered that I was disappointed. In the queue I heard her tell another customer they were too busy to do something for the customer, I didn’t hear what the request was. Surely with in reason we can ask for simple requests. The selection isn’t as good as it used to be at the old tea room. Nor is the service.

Always a pleasure to visit the Freemasons. From friendly staff, an excellent owner, or takes the time to talk to everyone, to the excellent drinks and delicious food. The atmosphere is always jumping, be it sports day or live music outside. Never dead, always friendly, fun, and the place to be/go. Summer time is "lo mas excelente" 👌

Haven’t visited in a while but so disappointed with today’s visit. Firstly no chocolate ice cream, surely this is a basic staple? No visible menu to look at the sundaes or desserts. Banana split with a manky old banana and pistachio ice cream which had no taste. Overall a waste of £28 and a planned visit. Won’t be back!

Such a shame. Coffee is great. Am a big cafe Nero fan but not of this branch. Have tried several times now with no change will move to an independent when I visit MH in future...really sad. No customer eye contact. No smiles. No hellos. One female staff member has a job to speak when I visit let alone serve you..often just chooses to do other things whether there is a queue or not. I suspect she must hate her job? I don't usually give bad reviews much nicer to give positive feedback. But I give up on this one. Cafe Nero rugby Elliott's field fabulous team with a smile

New Years Day last minute munchies, we booked for a late lunch on the spur of the moment. We were seated and the restaurant was relatively busy, a good sign is that there were a lot of menu items sold out, I had pie with chips and veg and my partner had sausage and mash. Not our usual choice but all that was available really. I have to be honest and say I was apprehensive, but both our meals were home made, piping hot and absolutely delicious. If you want traditional pub food, no frills but homemade and great value then you won’t go wrong, fantastic, we will be back.
