Had the best lunch today with our granddaughters. The owners went out of their way to create a very special afternoon tea lunch for them with a special drink on their own little tea pot. Our toasties were gorgeous snd came with crisps, coleslaw and salad. A wonderful cafe, fabulous friendly staff in and super clean. Excellent value for money, will be back soon. Thank you xx

Have been meaning to go for ages as I pass daily on the way to work, finally managed to get around to it and it was sooo worth it! Beautiful tea, ordered a sandwich which was £7, I thought was a bit expensive but expected however when it came out wonderful fresh ingredients, salad and crisps. Beautiful. Cakes were wonderful as well! Beautiful setting. Will be taking the in-laws soon and will visit the garden next time.

I witnessed the owner humiliating their hard-working staff right in front of me. It was embarrassing and unprofessional. They should value their staff and treat them with more respect.

An impromptu lunch while we were in Market Harborough. There was a cosy atmosphere which is something sadly lacking in many places since COVID while still maintaining good social distancing practises. The staff were all friendly and food superb. This will be our first choice next time.

The staff here are really friendly and very accommodating. Despite being a little early for the lunch menu, they were happy to provide us with a delicious homemade quiche and one of the nicest tuna paninis I’ve tasted. Both came with crisps and a plentiful and very fresh salad. Whilst we didn’t have the homemade cakes on this occasion, they looked delicious. Next time!! There are excellent Covid procedures in place - our table and chairs were thoroughly cleaned before we sat down and we were well spaced from other guests. The decor is fun and we loved the retro outfits the ladies were wearing - it added to the charm of this cosy place.

Sweet Pea tea room was one of only a handful of cafes open in Market Harborough this lunchtime as it seems many cafes now close on Mondays. My visit to Sweet Pea didn't disappoint. Excellent service with a smile and really good Covid prevention measures in place. The latte and panini were delicious and I'll definitely be back! Menu is smaller than usual but has everyone you would like to see on a lunchtime menu. Please keep supporting our local, independent businesses and thank you for staying open!

This is a lovely friendly little tearoom with great helpful service. Good food, especially the homemade cake which my partner praised highly. All the current required procedures are in place from taking contact details to cleaning pens used! Tearoom is currently taking part in government scheme to eat out in August which was an unexpected bonus. Thank you once again for a pleasant lunch and making our first visit out seem "normal". We hope to be back soon.

We made two visits to the tea rooms in one day! Felt very safe with all the procedures put in place with taking our contact details with cleaned pens, anti bac our hands prior to sitting down, tables and chairs were spaced out and cleaned thoroughly before next customer sat on them. We were only in the area for a 2 night stay but with research prior to arrival found this lovely place. We had homemade cheese, tomato and carmelised onion quiche and a bacon, brie and chilli panini - both delicious and served with home made coleslaw. After a walk around the lovely town it was time for our afternoon tea stop! We had the homemade lemon drizzle and blueberry sponge and the chocolate and vanilla chequered cake. Both delicious. Would thorough recommend this lovely tea room. Keep up the good work!

Stumbled on this rather quaint and cosy cafe today. Stepping inside was like stepping back to an innocent period in time where one could sit calmly and enjoy a cuppa and cake. I didn’t have cake though. It was lunch time and I needed a small bite of something savoury. I opted for a bacon, Brie & chilli panini. It came with a side salad, home made coleslaw and some crisps. It looked lovingly prepared and tasted amazing. The panini hadn’t been squashed to a thin hard crisp , the Brie was thick and melting, the bacon was a nice cut and thick slice and the chilli jam topped this delicious trio off. I loved everything about this small but beautiful cafe and will come back for cake on another visit.

Visited Sweet Pea’s Tea Room on a Saturday afternoon having heard many positive words from family and friends. It’s worth a visit, it’s vibrant and dare I say pretty. Service was prompt and obliging. My wife and I were possibly a little unlucky on our visit. When there, the tearoom, to a person, was impeded by a lady’s telephone which rang extra loud and uninterrupted. Unbothered that she was disturbing the vibe in the tearoom, she gassed on as if her call was everyone else’s problem. When it rang again, she answered, and proceeded with a tedious Cybil Fawlty rendition. Anyway, this wasn’t the fault of the management (although I’d have banned her for life), they were liable for the standard of sausages however. I couldn’t work out if the sausages were Quorn or made of paper. Noise irritants and meat aside, the rest of the tearoom is one of Harborough’s best places to visit, vintage crockery and refined receptacles, this certainly isn’t Costa or a greasy spoon. Oh and the cakes are delicious.

Found this lovely vintage tea room today and it did not disappoint. The place was well decorated, not OTT tacky vintage, offering a decent menu at reasonable prices. Our first visit to this delightful independent tea shop. The staff were very friendly, the menu extensive and the food excellent. Not the cheapest - jacket potatoes £6.50, pot of tea £2.25 - but well worth it. Big pot of loose leaf tea with lovely strainer, unusual teaspoons, and China cups and saucers. We did have to ask for condiments but they came immediately. The one improvement we would love to see is the use of fairly traded tea, coffee etc. Then it would be perfect. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit and although we were only stopping for coffee it was just as good as the first time. Such a friendly family run place and even though the daughter wasn’t working she came in with her young daughter to help out and spent time chatting to what seemed to be other regular customers. The coffee and teacake was lovely and I like the little extras like colouring books and crayons for the kids. It’s not the biggest place for a pram but the bathroom is a good size with nappy changing facilities available too. We found this place after trying to get in the chain coffee shops and I’m so glad we did as it’s so much nicer and off the beaten track. Will definitely be our place of choice every time we visit Market Harborough.

Decor great and food was amazing however entrance/exit to the cafe is a rather high step which may be difficult for some to negotiate with buggies/mobility problems.
