We've called at this tearoom in the past and found the setting and food extremely good. Not so now! We visited this place on Tuesday, the tea and coffee was OK but, our beans on toast was terrible. What tasted like cheap wholemeal bread and cheap beans, my wife couldn't eat it. I had a toasted tuna and mayonnaise on brown bread. Again, totally without taste. Such a shame

My first time visit to Buttercup tearooms, went with my brother and sister in law, very nice place, lot bigger than I expected, not overcrowded, they could easily get more tables in, my brother and I had coffees and piece of cake, my sister in law had a pot of tea and cake, all very nice and reasonably priced, the staff were very friendly, they also sell gifts, have a children's play area, and animals to see, so all in all, we'll worth a visit

Love this place as it’s right on my doorstep and go there frequently. However….. really disappointed recently with the service as queues are 10 deep and only 1 person taking orders / making drinks / taking payment. Today we left and went somewhere else as we could see the wait would be at least 45 mins !! Not acceptable when there are 2 tills and coffee machines but no-one manning them !!

We decided to stop here on a three hour motorbike run. We were both cold so we're excited for a nice coffee to warm up. The actual barn is gorgeous and has lovely Halloween decorations for the season. We ordered, asked about the cake selection and the young lad serving didn't know what was what which is a little conerning when you take into account allergies. We ordered two coffees, a cake and a toastie. The coffees came very quickly and the latte was great, the black Americano however had floating bits in it which was slightly off putting however when this was raised a lovely lady apologized and quickly replaced it. Coffee was good and strong, piping hot. The toastie came out as a cheese sandwich at first and when we said it was a toastie the woman said ah thought so. I thought this was odd as surely if you're unsure of an order you would ask again rather than guess? The toastie then came about five minutes after, but still missing cake. I asked a server about it and she wandered off to get it. She must have been distracted as after ten minutes it still had not arrived. I had to go to the counter for a second time to ask for it again, then I was given it. The cake and coffee was really good but the sandwich wasn't anything overly special and the salad it came with was browning at the edges and looked past its best. As someone who has managed 3 cafes and a patisserie it seems to be a little reliant on younger people to serve that maybe lack the direction/ experience and could definitely do with a guiding hand. There is nothing wrong with younger staff members as I believe all young people need that first step into the working world but again this benefits with the right training and guide. The farm was really nice to walk around and overall was a really nice place to visit. Toilets were clean and newly refurbished and every table was well cleared and cleaned by staff.

Lovely staff, lovely place, everything on site is well thought through…..we loved the pumpkin display at the entrance. It’s dog friendly too (although some owners need to ensure their dog behaves! It’s not the dog’s fault!). I was pleased that not only could the tearoom cater my food intolerances, the staff had listened and checked and rechecked my choices. Delicious homemade soup! We were on a mini break in the area and we will be back! X

We did the Alpaca Walk. They were really helpful with tailoring the walk to meet my daughter's needs (she is autistic). To make it more enjoyable for her, we were able to book a walk just for us, rather than a group. Richard was very knowledgeable about the alpacas, which made for an interesting walk. My daughter loved it, a great experience!

We came here with our puppy to use the dog training paddock which was easily bookable online. We then stayed for drinks and cake and it was lovely. Really friendly service and delicious food and drink that wasn't expensive. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the tea room is large and spacious and the tables are really well spread out which is nice. It was also lovely to meet the alpacas, donkey, ponies and goats on the way in.

On arrival there was ample parking available. We were greeted at the tearoom and taken straight to the alpacas. There was no rushing at all on the walk. The guide (so sorry terrible with names) was really friendly, knowledgable about the alpacas and we were also really happy with the picture he took of us with them so he has obviously done that a few times haha. After the walk he took us back to the pen with the other alpacas in to show us them as well as some pigs and cows, Im not sure that's part of every experience but we were very enthused about them all. Finally we went for the cream tea and were not disappointed everything was delicious and there was plenty we ended up takings some home. We would highly recommend buttercups tea-room, for both the food and the alpaca experience.

A lovely place for lunch with friends or family. The tables are well spread out inside, and there is plenty of outdoor seating available. There is 1 vegan option (falafel houmous and beetroot panini with vegan coleslaw, salad and crisps) and it was absolutely delicious! The staff are very friendly, and I love seeing the animals here (alpacas, goats, horses etc.)
