The Settling Rooms in Harborough

I know this Cafe likes to seat customers at appropriate sized tables so when orders a solo customer I pointed this out, the member of staff said no problem, so settling myself at the table , I wax then approached by a member of staff who said I Conor sit there , I mentioned I had Christ till and she repeated I Conor sit there, if tufmns out there was a smaller table free but the ladies beside it had put their bags on the chairs so it was free !! I was that after being given the go ahead to sit at the table that I was made to move, the lang and approach was very poor. Maybe have signs up. Never had this ANYWHERE I have visited anywhere ever!!!!!!

We hired the Settling Rooms for a private birthday party last Saturday night.....what a fabulous space! If you are searching for somewhere to host an event in Market Harborough look no further. The venue itself is beautiful, and the team could not have done more to look after us. We had the sharing boards for food and were so impressed; both in taste, quantity and value. The drinks were very reasonably priced and it was perfect not to have to wait 15mins at a busy bar to be served. I think perhaps the location makes people forget this place even exists but couldn't recommend more highly (and all of my guests would agree!) Thanks so much for a great night.

I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at the Settling Rooms. I hired the space at the back to host 40 ish people and it was the perfect set up. The team were lovely, friendly and helpful. The food had lots of compliments and the drinks were fab too. We were able to show up and spend minimal time setting up as it’s already a lovely setting. Would highly recommend! The whole night felt fun and stress-free. Thank you!

First time visit to Market Harborough and to the Settling Rooms - there are three must try options - the Choriso Hash - the awesome coffees and the smoothies ! It’s also great to have such friendly helpful staff

I hosted my cocktails and canapés themed 21st birthday at the settling rooms and was so pleased! The food was absolutely faultless and presented beautifully and all of the cocktails tasted and looked amazing. The overall atmosphere was perfect and the fairy lights make it perfect for photos. Went for the first time, why oh why are all of the toasties on Sour Bread? I opted for the Bacon , Brie and Cranberry. Wish I hadn't, lots of Brie and Cranberry sauce but hardly any Bacon!. Pretty expensive, won't be returning unfortunately.

The venue is very pretty and has a lovely ambiance generally, but when we visited it was let down by the very long wait. We deliberately picked food from the counter menu as we had an appointment 75 minutes later, and thought that would be quicker, but in the event by the time it arrived we had to eat as fast as possible and run. We were offered a free drink as compensation, but there was no time to accept the offer. Had there been more time I would also have ‘mentioned’ that the tuna melt toastie had virtually no filling in half of it. It’s a shame because the cafe itself was lovely - but the food I received was mediocre at best when it arrived after nearly an hour.

Called in for a sandwich and coffee late morning- cafe looked busy but most were customers using the Wi-Fi. We went up to the counter to order and we’re told they had no wraps so we reordered. The food we ordered was lovely but we were put out by the speed at which the staff were clearing our plates away. They picked up my friends plate and tried to clear mine away although I had clearly not finished. They left me to finish but cleared it away as soon as I finished. As we left the cafe I glanced into the chiller area to see a stack of neatly assembled and labelled wraps! I didn’t check whether they actually had the one I ordered but we weren’t initially told they hadn’t got mine- just they hadn’t got any wraps

Heard good reviews about the food, service, and place. Drove over and parked up. There are no parking fees on a Sunday in Sainsburys car park. Lovely interior and seating areas. Friendly service as well, which makes a big difference! Went for flat white and two sourdough tuna toasties. Didn't take long for the food to follow the drinks. Very tasty! I don't agree with taking dogs inside there as well, but I don't make the rules, and I expect it allows more people in there. I expect that, along with the fact that some people won't go in there because of that, it balances itself out

I hired The Settling Rooms on a Saturday eveningfor my 50th birthday party and it was fabulous! It’s a great venue with a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for hiring for any occasion.

Been here a few times and whilst the food is great, the staff are so miserable and this carries over into the customer experience .. you might want to consider serving your customers instead of processing them ..lots of competition in Mkt Harboro so will use the other cafes/restaurants instead.

We popped in for early Friday night drinks and a light bite. Drinks and cocktail menu varied with something for all tastes…I must say the Paloma cocktail is lovely. One of party is gluten free so we ordered some bang bang cauliflower, which was DELICIOUS, I wish we had ordered more!
