Nice relaxed atmosphere. Great coffee.

Lovely Brunch here. Had the Chocolate Orange Pancakes, absolutely delicious with Orange Syrup & honeycomb. Everything else also looked really good. The place was always busy, but staff were friendly, attentive & quick - great service & lovely setting.

Drinks were good but the lady was quite sharp, telling me off for having the audacity to offer a £10 note for a £9 bill. Only afterwards did I spot the signs saying they are cashless. These things make a bad first impression. Outside space is lovely if you enjoy sitting in a car park.

Expensive for what it is, but lovely English breakfast, not greasy at all, plus they serve real loose leaf tea.

Excellent and innovative lunch options - forager toast and banana bread were both delicious. Large portion sizes. Friendly service. Good coffee. Paid parking is refundable if you spend £5 in Sainsburys but not refundable in the cafe itself.

Well organised and tasty. Enormous "sourdough" bread sandwiches. They have lots of other food available as well ... There is a free book exchange by the sofas.

Place isn’t full. Was dining on my own and told I would be asked to move table to a smaller one should the restaurant become busy. Please put a sign up that says that. Was only having a cappuccino, how long would that have taken? 10 minutes? You couldn’t sacrifice a table that seats more than one, for only one person for 10 minutes , afraid to loose out on business on a Monday morning. Not exactly peak hour, your table is empty now and I won’t be sitting at it again. I’ve read your response, if you’re so busy get a bigger establishment. You’re very busy so won’t need my business. You don’t have to change your policies I won’t be taking my review down. Enjoy your rights and signage

What a special hidden find! We'd parked in the supermarket car park many times before discovering this beautiful venue. A lovely atmosphere and great coffee, food and wifi!

Always been happy with service here, however today (18/4) I was really dissatisfied with the behaviour of the staff. Upon entry the staff were rather cold, understand everyone has their moments but as the face of the establishment a welcoming atmosphere should always be priority.

1st time visiting today for Mothers Day coffee. Very loud so had to talk up as to hear everyone. Place is nice but service is very slow, latte (large) served in a normal cup not a latte glass, cold not even tepid!! £3.70 for the pleasure! Won't be going back.

I know this Cafe likes to seat customers at appropriate sized tables so when orders a solo customer I pointed this out, the member of staff said no problem, so settling myself at the table , I wax then approached by a member of staff who said I Conor sit there , I mentioned I had Christ till and she repeated I Conor sit there, if tufmns out there was a smaller table free but the ladies beside it had put their bags on the chairs so it was free !! I was that after being given the go ahead to sit at the table that I was made to move, the lang and approach was very poor. Maybe have signs up. Never had this ANYWHERE I have visited anywhere ever!!!!!!

This was my first visit, and I'll definitely be back. Unfortunately, the food service had finished for the day when I went, but I did have a nice piece of flapjack and a coffee. My friends were impressed with their cocktails 😀 Our waitress was lovely

We hired the Settling Rooms for a private birthday party last Saturday night.....what a fabulous space! If you are searching for somewhere to host an event in Market Harborough look no further. The venue itself is beautiful, and the team could not have done more to look after us. We had the sharing boards for food and were so impressed; both in taste, quantity and value. The drinks were very reasonably priced and it was perfect not to have to wait 15mins at a busy bar to be served. I think perhaps the location makes people forget this place even exists but couldn't recommend more highly (and all of my guests would agree!) Thanks so much for a great night.

You won't find a more aesthetic and welcoming café! The Settling Rooms is set in a beautiful historical building that has been converted into the most incredible coffee shop (be ready to find yourself taking one too many pictures of the setting, it's gorgeous!) The coffee is perfect, and the English breakfast (veggie option) and the various savoury toasts are truly incredible. The best part of this place? The staff! Just the most welcoming and friendly individuals that make you want to come in for a chat, and stay for one too many coffees. Also, useful to know that they're super laptop friendly, and with a space like this, your creative ideas will flow! A must visit.

Just visited for coffee and cake. Both were good. Not sure we'll go again: we found the acoustics difficult. For us, it was hard to hear the conversation in our group above the sound levels coming from others.

One of the best places to eat in the County. Their breakfast menu is full of amazing food, especially their more interesting items (chorizo hash, or sweetcorn fritters). They wouldn't be out of place in high-end London brunch houses, but here they're reasonably priced. The coffee is also great and their cake selection is varied and delicious. Can't recommend the Settling Rooms and their staff enough as the best brunch/lunch around. They even do excellent cocktails...

I hosted my cocktails and canapés themed 21st birthday at the settling rooms and was so pleased! The food was absolutely faultless and presented beautifully and all of the cocktails tasted and looked amazing. The overall atmosphere was perfect and the fairy lights make it perfect for photos. I have been to settling rooms many times, the staff are always really friendly, food is great and the atmosphere is always welcoming. I recently hired the settling rooms for a surprise engagement party for my best friends. We had a fantastic night, hiring and organising the venue was really easy and simple with Kelly always responding quickly to emails and providing all the information we needed. The cocktails were delicious and the staff were great and we all had a brilliant night. Thank you to Kelly and all of the staff!

Went for the first time, why oh why are all of the toasties on Sour Bread? I opted for the Bacon , Brie and Cranberry. Wish I hadn't, lots of Brie and Cranberry sauce but hardly any Bacon!. Pretty expensive, won't be returning unfortunately.

The venue is very pretty and has a lovely ambiance generally, but when we visited it was let down by the very long wait. We deliberately picked food from the counter menu as we had an appointment 75 minutes later, and thought that would be quicker, but in the event by the time it arrived we had to eat as fast as possible and run. We were offered a free drink as compensation, but there was no time to accept the offer. Had there been more time I would also have ‘mentioned’ that the tuna melt toastie had virtually no filling in half of it. It’s a shame because the cafe itself was lovely - but the food I received was mediocre at best when it arrived after nearly an hour.

Called in for a sandwich and coffee late morning- cafe looked busy but most were customers using the Wi-Fi. We went up to the counter to order and we’re told they had no wraps so we reordered. The food we ordered was lovely but we were put out by the speed at which the staff were clearing our plates away. They picked up my friends plate and tried to clear mine away although I had clearly not finished. They left me to finish but cleared it away as soon as I finished. As we left the cafe I glanced into the chiller area to see a stack of neatly assembled and labelled wraps! I didn’t check whether they actually had the one I ordered but we weren’t initially told they hadn’t got mine- just they hadn’t got any wraps

I hired out the settling rooms for my wife’s 30th birthday party and we had the best time! The party was great and the staff where very friendly, we would definitely recommend

Heard good reviews about the food, service, and place. Drove over and parked up. There are no parking fees on a Sunday in Sainsburys car park. Lovely interior and seating areas. Friendly service as well, which makes a big difference! Went for flat white and two sourdough tuna toasties. Didn't take long for the food to follow the drinks. Very tasty! I don't agree with taking dogs inside there as well, but I don't make the rules, and I expect it allows more people in there. I expect that, along with the fact that some people won't go in there because of that, it balances itself out

Superb spot for coffee or a light lunch in Market Harborough. Really nice ambience and décor inside. The service is friendly and efficient. I also appreciate that they *really* know their coffee. A hidden treasure in Harborough. Also, being in the middle of the car park, accessibility is not a problem.

Had my baby shower at the settling rooms and was blown away! All our family and friends said how lovely it was! The venue is beautiful, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the food was very tasty and catered to dietary requirements, which was very much appreciated. Thank you so much!

Absolutely lovely little cafe. Food is very high quality, everything tastes brilliant and fresh. Food is fairly priced but drinks can be a bit on the expensive side. Staff are quick to ask if you need anything and all very polite.

Lovely lunch, had the toasties and a cake, which was served very quickly and tasted lovely….. 😋 My Cappuccino was absolutely delicious (the best I have had outside of Italy) First class service from very helpful and friendly staff.

Having had my surprise 30th at the Settling Rooms and subsequently booking it for my wife’s 30th, Settling Rooms never fails to deliver. The attention to detail, assistance with planning and the outstanding food and drinks is second to none! If you’re thinking of hosting any type of event in Market Harborough, then don’t look anywhere else!

Honestly hit and miss - not because of the food or drinks (which are great!) - but because of the staff. I’ve had coffee from those that are pleasant and friendly, a short chat or even just basic transactional business A to B, and I’ve been at the opposite end of the spectrum where you are (in quiet periods!) ignored, not even acknowledged as waiting to order or even having entered, and then spoken to bluntly whilst the barista/server chats instead to other people. Customers aren’t burdens interrupting your gossip. After a matter of fact “pay here”, drink is later put silently on the side for me to just guess it’s mine and leave. Really tarnished previous positive experiences. People are allowed to have bad days, chances are we’ve all worked in hospitality over our lifetimes and no one can act happy all the time, but it’s just rude and awkward…

The coffee is also of a standard All day breakfast ingredients are also homemade Bread and pork tenderloin are different from those eaten outside And the cheesecake tastes mediocre It may be because I like cakes with a moister texture and a heavier texture. convenient location Vacation is worth it to relax!

Love it! but seems the size of the cups of matcha varies. We have had them big once and then the next day a very tiny cup! £4 for a miniature cup seemed a bit excessive.

Wonderful place to stop by, ensure when you order a coffee or other hot beverage to ask for extra hot as unfortunately recently they have been served quite cool but don't let that put you off.

Been here a few times and whilst the food is great, the staff are so miserable and this carries over into the customer experience .. you might want to consider serving your customers instead of processing them ..lots of competition in Mkt Harboro so will use the other cafes/restaurants instead.

We popped in for early Friday night drinks and a light bite. Drinks and cocktail menu varied with something for all tastes…I must say the Paloma cocktail is lovely. One of party is gluten free so we ordered some bang bang cauliflower, which was DELICIOUS, I wish we had ordered more!

What a great gem!!! We have visited friends yesterday and came here for a morning treat. The place decor is lovely, the atmosphere cosy. The FOOD IS WELL- PRESENTED, TASTY and with many GREAT OPTIONS. The TEAM is WELCOMING, FRIENDLY, professional and very kind. … and lovely dogs!!! We booked The Settling Rooms for our Christmas netball social. There was 15 of us and we had a great time. Kelly and the team had prepared some fantastic food for us and the service was fantastic too. I would highly recommend. I also attended the Jim Club social there the week before and it was equally as good. Thanks guys!

Friendly staff, good coffee, good choice of food. My only complaint is it's much too cold sitting having a coffee and chat with friends. I know its Winter but we had to keep big coats on and we were still cold.

Really poor - was looking forward to eating here. Ordered a Cumberland sausage breakfast bap. Waitress slapped it down on the table. It didn’t have any garnish which I could have lived with (but not a great start) but it actually didn’t have any sausage in it either (okay it had one tiny pie e from what looked like the end of a sausage all mashed up). It was mostly scrambled egg - yuck. No one asked me if it was ok, I was essentially ignored in the corner. Hence the review, would have preferred to let them know in person. But hey ho.

Perfectly presented spot for cracking cocktails. A place to sit and chill, chat to friends and enjoy drinks and nibbles. It’s all table service, very friendly and professional. The highlight though is the perfectly mixed cocktails, whoever is managing the bar really knows their stuff. Well worth a visit.

We found this place a bit weirdly situated . It looks like the car park has been built around the building ( it must be a listed building , or something like that .) . But , what a lovely place to have a sit down , a cuppa and a piece of cake. It's lovely inside , the staff are so helpful and courteous and the food is lovely .

Kelly’s team always offer a warm welcome in a pleasant atmosphere, where you can enjoy fabulous coffee or my personal favourite; the breakfast burrito! Choose your table, order at the counter and the friendly attentive staff will really look after you!

Food tasted delicious and was served quickly, hardly any time waiting. Downside was my friend's food came with a flower for garnish and on the flower was a living ladybird! Staff very quickly apologised, refunded and remade the food. Did feel however, that staff were a bit uncomfortable or unsure, with handling the situation. Also, the door was locked when we arrived and it wasn't until other customers tried to leave, that we could then enter. Not a single member of staff appeared to step forward and help but all watched from behind the counter. Just generally lots of young staff that all seemed a bit lost, inexperienced and socially awkward.

Cold food, and we where the only table with food. Gave it a try but will not return as far better in The town center.

More than a café, not quite a bistro. Coffee was fresh, food diverse but a little to expensive for not quite a bistro.

Good food, OK service, Great atmosphere, it's just a shame their chef's can't poach eggs.
