The service is top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff always ready to assist. What impresses me the most is their well-stocked inventory, offering a wide variety of products. Whether I need groceries, household items, the Post Office or a quick snack, I can count on finding it here. It's a true gem in our community, and I highly recommend Gilmorton Village Store to everyone.

As cyclists we pass through many cafes….this hidden gem is a great spot to stop and have a quick break. Easy to miss as you’re riding past but it’s an enjoyable place to rest. There’s a good selection of cakes and sweets and all of them are delicious. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Great little store with all the essentials + delicious local produce. Only thing they’re missing is alternative milk (although I know it’s a controversial thing to stock in the countryside!)

Staff could be a little more welcoming. Also I found it so over priced. Taking advantage really for convenience. Never knew anything about the upstairs cafe? Been in a few times now and it hasn't been mentioned by any staff nor have noticed any sign? Lovely looking shop though just needs a few tweaks.

This great little Village Store seems to have all most everything including a Post Office, the home made cakes are wonderful, the building is set back and blends in very well with the surrounding area, well worth a visit if not only to try the cakes yum yum.

The village store is a perfect community hub! They stock a small range of everyday groceries and offers a delivery service if you can't get out. What they really excel in is the deli counter, the home made cakes are amazing! They also have sausage rolls and pies that they will heat for you and offer take away tea and coffee. For those visiting or passing through the village there is a small seating area outside for take out customers. There is a post office counter service. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. We are so lucky to have this amazing village store.

A really nice little store with very friendly locals who don't mind being inundated with club cyclists at the weekend. Plenty of room to park bikes out of the way and still keep an eye on them from the window, as your food and beverage orders are taken at the till then brought to you upstairs by a lovely girl. seating for around 10 is nice and snug WC facilities are also available. I had a rather welcomed Latte with a millionaires flap jack which I recommend to anyone. Thanks again.

We go to the village shop sometimes when we have run out of something usually they have what you need! The staff are so nice and sometime after school we used to go and get treats or in the summer ice creams! It is also very handy for it just to be down the road. I like everything about the village shop. Some people may say it is too small but I think it is nice and friendly and cosy if it was any bigger it might lose that. I give it 5 stars!

A handy stop for bread or milk but little more, unless you happen to have run out of lemon curd. It has plenty of items, but is only a small place and could be better stocked with useful things you may run out of rather than a hundredweight of chutney and obscure deli items. But my main gripe is with the staff. I am a shopkeeper’s daughter and know only too well how the local shop can be the heart of the community. We knew everyone’s name and always passed the time of day. Yet I have lived here in the village for a year and nobody has ever said a welcoming hello, asked my name or made me feel I want to patronise the store. I would love to do so as I know loyal customers are what keep these small places open, and in my last I village made a point of popping in for bits even though it was more expensive as the owners were so lovely. Here the staff are often different and nobody cares about gaining your custom. I am not just trying to snipe, I am hoping someone will read this and take it as constructive criticism as I would love a vibrant local shop, and the owners could make more profit if they took heed as several of my neighbours have said the same!

We called in for a drink and snack lunch whilst on a cycle ride. The shop seemed nice, but the staff were grumpy and unwelcoming. Service was poor. The rolls were all of soft white fluffy bread which was a shame. There was a "cafe" upstairs, but no-one mentioned this, we found it for ourselves. It was nothing much and someone was in one corner, noisily sorting out freezer stock. The place has huge potential, but customer service is lacking.

I regularly go to my local village shop and I love it so much! The homemade cakes are beautiful and it has a homey vibe. The only let down is the cost of things. But other than that, an easy alternative to the supermarket 👍🏻

Alison and Dave, the shop owners are lovely and the produce is super too. How lucky are we to have this in our village? The everyday items are extremely reasonably priced, there's no overinflated pricing which is very refreshing. There's a great selection of treats and cakes too. Fridays are pulled pork cobs but don't tell everyone!! The little tea room upstairs is cosy and welcoming and I can thoroughly recommend Alison for catering too. The spread was fantastic. Alison has even done cones of sweets with personalised stickers for my kids birthday parties. Often at short notice! Alison and Dave have helped out the various charitable organisations in the village on countless occasions and nothing is too much trouble for them. A real asset to Gilmorton.

Gilmorton Village Store is a gem of country original quality. The glass counter full of different cakes of really really good value, The shelves are full of different country preserves. Pots of tea and mugs of coffee of many varieties. Somehow, the village store also proves Deli, Newsagents, gifts vegetables and groceries. I watched the chef prepare stuffing for Friday's pulled port baps. Fabulous thought. My party spent a very comfortable more than an hour for afternoon working through pot of tea, carrot cake and duchess squares.
