The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Charnwood East Midlands

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch here today with family. We couldn't fault a thing, from the amazing efficient happy staff to the exceptional high end delicious food. We travelled from Caister-On-Sea Norfolk to visit family and came here for a fantastic Sunday lunch. Our only regret is that we don't live in Cropston ! 😉😁

All very normal and well suited for a coffee break.

1st visit,weekday lunchtime,so not busy,food arrived quickly,good sized portions & tasted fab,not expensive,large car park,staff attentive,written Birthday board with brownie/ice cream dessert.

A beautiful afternoon tea with a family member visiting from London. A fantastic setting fantastic food and fantastic staff especially the lovely Loz who looked after us.

This is an amazing little cafe in a department store. The quality of the food is excellent and reasonably priced. The goats cheese, walnut and beetroot salad is huge and good.

This place has clearly changed hands it was called the cheesecake shop however this is our first visit since lockdown, they have given it a new look, the cakes all look as good as they did in the past but the sit down menu is very limited , the chowder is now just a very bland chicken and veg soup, the nice bread is no more, it’s really just a cake shop now.

Everytime we come here (which is almost weekly!!) it’s amazing. The atmosphere in the coffee shop is always buzzing - great music and friendly staff making the experience an enjoyable one. The baked goods are always fresh and change every week so you never get bored. The cruffins are a particular favourite. It’s great value and I highly recommend it to anyone!!

A group of us booked for lunch and ordered in advance. The staff were very pleasant and helpful , service was good as was the food with a choice of portion size for some dishes. My meal was missing peas but this was quickly rectified. The cakes looked delicate and tyere was one desert and ice-cream om offer yoo. The tea rooms are warm which was good as the weather outside was awful. There is outside seating for good weather days. There are a few charity shops on site and walks in the grounds, weather permitting and a model railway open on Wednesdays and Fridays. Definitely worth a visit.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff good choice of beverages.

A friendly welcome at this popular establishment. The duck was excellent. Also the Great Central Railway borders the garden with the occasional train passing which was bonus.

Possibly the best latte I have had in Leicestershire (up to this date of course), I don't know how they do it...especially as I'm borderline addicted to the things If you get a chance try the vanilla latte and let it cool slightly. Worth every penny. The foods decent as well and the premises is very quirky but unique.

Amelia was amazing and so helpful! We played the darts, pool & shuffleboard and she helped set games up & explained them for us if we needed any help! Thank you!

Has gone downhill rapidly........ Food is cooked, then re-heated later when it is needed.... sausages had re-heated wrinkles, bacon dry and very tough. Latte was just warm, Didn't want to ask for hot water, as felt that would be too much of an issue. Staff member got order wrong, then blamed the customer and said it was there error but the whole conversation was heard and the guy serving had it wrong. Overheard them bad mouthing the customers and the managers of the GCR. Decent staff have left and you can understand why. Have tried to reach out to the GCR but they have not responded back. Shame as it did have great food etc, as been visiting since it opened

Im old and didn't realise this is a student pub. Felt very out of place. Nice helpfull staff.
