Visit once a week and it's always full of great people. The staff are amazing to speak to.

Ive been a few times decent pub, fun and friendly place, beers and crisps good as well,seems no matter what some might say, the pub has a good future.

It's not the pub as much as the people drinking there on a Saturday afternoon

Gone downhill since Caroline left and everyone knows it. Young girl with the glasses more interested in smoking and chatting outside than serving behind the bar too.

A fantastic pub with great staff. Probably the largest screen around for sport. The beer is always spot on and the service is a with a smile every time. They have had a new pool table in as well and it takes card payment so I never have to carry change again.

Recently visited the coach and horses as soon as I walked into the pub it was a nice friendly atmosphere, the bar staff behind the bar was very approachable and was quick to serve me , quality beer even had one of there lovely chicken cobs will definitely be coming back again

I’m unsure why or how this place has got any 5 star reviews. Obvs written by people who know people or it’s changed hands recently or something as it’s nowhere near that. Never been in the place to start off so after hearing all the bad about its rep I wanted to make my own mind up, so it’s goes like this. As soon as we walked in the pub felt like something out of a western or more like a rough ass pub on Churchgate in town. Rowdy is an understatement and absolutely not somewhere where you’d fancy a night out…for us anyway. However, if you do fancy people dancing around in front of a DJ stand, some with tops off, chucking pints of larger about and getting bashed into every minute whilst the coke heads are having great time in the toilets, then this is the place for you. Absolute free for all in there. I couldn’t believe there is no door staff for this place considering how it was in there as if it (And believe it will) go up then it’d be every man and woman for themselves. On a good note though, if you want to visit the Chinese over the road and bring your takeaway in that’s seems that’s absolutely fine. Also if you want to hear who’s the hardest around, who they’ve recently had a fight with and what weapons people carry in their car then just stand outside and listen to the chat. I wasn’t expecting a debate on EU policy to be eavesdropped on, but this is the clientele in this dump. We left very shortly after arriving never to darken its doors again.

Brilliant Monday night poker game and the staff are friendly welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Be good if we got a few more in.

Doesn't do food but nice for a quick drink at times

The new landlady and landlord and their team seem to be bringing the pub back to where it used to be. Friendly, welcoming and a buzzing atmosphere at the weekends. The pub seems to be alive and busy again. Also I noticed that they are very hot on requesting ID on the younger customers which as a long and loyal regular I haven’t really noticed before.

Overall a pretty dirty venue. There's only music on when money is put in the jukebox. The toilets are always filthy, for some reason customers are bringing in fish and chips to eat so the bar smells like a chippy and while a girl was serving me she was literally still chewing on her takeaway.

A great village pub, always a warm welcome from staff and locals. Huge sports screens, juke box and pool table - everything a local pub could want.

New owner is great! Always down for a laugh and goes out of his way for a chat. Don't think I've seen him not smile yet!

Have been here a few times and it has always been ok however the new landlord has really given it a different feel and every one seems so happy all the time.

Came in the pub right before closing time (which I wasn’t aware of) because I had stood in dog poo right at the front door and wanted to clean my shoe. I brought my drink in from the Crown pub because I wasn’t staying there I just wanted to clean my shoe, as I stood in it on the pub grounds. Pub owner approached my friend (who was waiting outside the toilet cubicle) with extreme hostility asking who’s drink it was, swearing at her and when I said it was mine she questioned where we lived ( not sure how that’s relevant) and said we came in and were rude to her bar staff?? When I literally came in and went straight to the toilet, didn’t go anywhere near the bar. Have come here loads before and all the other bar staff have been lovely and service has been great, but I’ll never step foot in there again after this experience. absolutely disgusting way to treat people, no idea how the pub is still in business if that’s who runs it. Literally appalled at the experience.

Whilst visiting relatives in anstey, we came across this gem of a pub in the centre, it's staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them, & the drinks selection is second to none, it was a lovely atmosphere, & everyone was very friendly, even though we're from out of town so to speak, it was really clean & welcoming, if your that way call in, you won't be disappointed, we'll definately be going back soon 5*****

I have been using the Coach for many years now, and in all of that time, I have never found a single issue. I have an eight-year-old daughter who is always welcomed by the staff and punters alike. Regardless of age, the venue caters to everyone. There is always a good mix of characters in there, and new people are welcomed to the fold quickly. As far as traditional pubs go, this is the last of a dying breed. A no-nonsense good old-fashioned boozer! And the pricing is one of the best in the area too. An all-round safe and welcoming home to all who enter.

Was ok. Nipped in while my car was in the Hyundai garage. Only 1 drink but took over 10 mins to get the Pepsi pump working

This is a proper village pub. Good company, excellent staff and somewhere where you are made more than welcome. The entertainment is always top notch. I am so pleased they have weathered the storm through the pandemic and come out fighting. Got my vote all...

Been coming to the coach for a few years now as it's my local it's also such a fun and lively atmosphere. Caz and the team are all really friendly and will always have a chat and a laugh. Visit when you can!

I have lived in the village for 6 years but refused entry because I didn't have proof of address. I can guarantee that they havent asked all of the old boys for this who prop up the bar every night! Who even carries proof of address?! I don't have a driving licence either.

Called in Wednesday 28 th June evening time and could not get any bar service , asked the Bar lad four times still refused to serve and attended his mates or locals first , just pig ignorant , told staff I will go to a proper Pub and went to the Crown just up the road , friendly polite staff and served with a smile . Vile pup and worst staff , won`t ever enter again .
