A busy Sunday lunch. 20oz mixed grill was never that weight! Average meat quality. Wouldn't return to eat, maybe drinks only. Meh!

We booked the upstairs with less than a week notice for 28 guests. Everyone served at once, food piping hot and exceptional. Thoroughly recommended - manager and staff didn't put a foot wrong! Loved it.

Large pub (on our day not too busy) that did more than well overseeing our large reunion party that as is the way wanted to pay separately! This was dealt with efficiently and with charm. Food servings were generous, well presented and tasty. All who attended were complimentary.

We have dined here on a few occasions and i must say the food, service everything about here is spot on! We recommend 100%.

Have visited several times as a halfway meeting point for friends and family, Sunday Roast is fabulous on this occasion also had starters and pudding which was also very good, the staff are very welcoming and accommodating, nice atmosphere

Fantastic place for drinks after a visit to the local park. Lovely selection of drinks and snacks, and a great outdoor play area for kids, and spacious beer garden. Big shout to the lovely staff too!

We have been dining at The Bradgate for many years now. It is a halfway place to meet up with out friends .On line booking system works well, and quick response in dealing with special requests. The food is excellent , well presented and good size portions. All staff very friendly. In particular Niamh was very pleasant and went out of her way to ensure we enjoyed our visit. Highly recommended.

Fish & chips overcooked & greasy, pizza had soggy centres...overall disappointed

Good location with parking, friendly staff and efficient service. However, the food was disappointing. I had the ribs, but they were a little chewy. My wife had the roast beef, but the meat was tough.

Loved going for a stop when walking the sogs around the park. Loved the pub and atmosphere with plenty of seats and space outside as it was good weather

We have just had a rare family gathering in The Loft room, and everything was perfect from start to finish. We had pre ordered our food, due to numbers attending, and it was all beautiful. The staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was to much trouble. Well done to the whole team, those we met, and those behind the scene. We will definitely return. Thank you for everything.

Took a chance without booking in advance and were in luck. Seated quickly, lovely service, as always, and the food was delicious. The t bone steak from the specials board was a particular hit, cooked to perfection.

Great place to eat, lots of outside dining too ~ food was lovely, we had ad a table of 5 and everyone had something different which they enjoyed! Will certainly return.

Ideal stopover before going for a stroll in nearby Bradgate Park. I tried the pork Loin from the specials board and my partner one of their stone baked pizzas. They were both excellent. Our three year old nephew had the chicken nuggets but could not resist a taste of the pizza. Definitely will be returning again very soon.

Came here as a family (group of 10) Easter weekend and was appalled by the service. We call around 4pm to see if we could push our 4.30pm table back to 5pm, staff agreed and advised they would need the table back by 6:45pm, we agreed. We got there at 4:55pm, and waited 22 minutes for anyone to take our drinks order. Took another 15 minutes for our drinks to come and we then had to stop the waitress leaving and ask her to take our food order. Food took around 30 minutes to come out, the steaks were good but weren't cooked to order, the pizza looked lovely but my seabass dish was mediocre at best, it just lacked any real flavour. After we finished eating, we asked to order desert and the manager was VERY rude stating "WELL, you can order deserts but as we told you before you need to leave the table by 6:45pm" with a really confrontational tone and a snarly look on her face. The restaurant at this point was empty, she could have nicely suggested we eat desert in the bar OR if they didn't think it would be possible to serve a table of 10 in the time allocated she should have said no to pushing back our table. Instead, she was so rude, made us feel rushed and like we weren't allowed to have desert. She agreed to let us order desert but told us "regardless if you've finished we will need the table back at 6:45pm" as if we'd have to take them with us and then stormed off. We ordered 5 deserts, all of which were not great. The rocky road brownie was awful, it was a bad rocky road on top of a very sickly brownie with a very small portion of vanilla ice cream. My sister went to offer feedback as the end of the meal to the female manager and was instead met with confrontation and more rudeness, even accusing us of being late which was a lie. There was no apology or accountability. We spent nearly £300 as a family and I am appalled by how we were treated, especially considering how expensive everything was. I have waitressed for many years, as had my sisters, so we are very sensitive to how hard the service industry is. Maybe she had a bad day... but unfortunately she ruined ours aswell. The behaviour we experienced was shocking and not something I would expect at a nice restaurant like this. I hope feedback is implemented and no one experiences the same thing.

This is our second visit to the Bradgate and yet again it didn't disappoint. The food was beautiful. Service was really fast and the staff were incredibly attentive. Laiklyn was our waitress and she was amazing. She was friendly, welcoming and is such a credit to the Bradgate. Highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We went to the Bradgate for Sunday lunch. My friend has a disability and a member of staff (Becky) came out to the car park to help her. The food was amazing and plentiful, locally sourced and beautifully cooked. We were given an extra plate so that we could share a dessert. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Lovely Sunday lunch, well worth a visit!

My sister and I had Sunday lunch here. It was delicious and a good-size portion that we didn't even need pudding. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing 🤣. Also, it is a dog friendly pub.

Got a turkey and veg Sunday roast, generous portions without compromising much on quality for £15. Nice pub too, and pizzas were also good. Forgot to take a photo as we devoured them! Good cheesecake too

Good beers, lovely setting and good country style large pub. Food excellent. Staff very friendly and capable. The main problem is lack of staff at lunchtimes, how staff are deployed and waiting times, a management issue. With more attention and organisation this could easily be a 5 star pub.

Glad we tried The Bradgate since our local is under renovation. We had a great time with the family, service was fantastic and accommodating. Food was good and home cooked, but more important great value. We went back a second time and it was just as good. Look forward to a third visit to try their Burger night.

Really enjoyed popping in here for lunch, had the fish and chips, it was delicious.

Very nice meal with myself and 3 others. We are a mix of vege, vegan and vegan with GF needs. We chose pizzas and burgers which were very nice. Staff were really great with one of our party who has ASD and LD. Allowed him to use his words to interact.

Awful food, the festive turkey meal came with mash potato as opposed to roasties and was tasteless. The beef brisket was all fat. Not a good visit unfortunately

Hadn’t been to The Bradgate for years but booked a Table for 10 people for my daughter’s 21st. We pre ordered which was fine and ensured no one was disappointed but I noticed a specials board when we arrived which had some delicious sounding dishes. If I preorder again will definitely ask if the specials menu is available. The pizzas and burgers were delicious, staff friendly and helpful and a good selection of drinks to choose from.

Had a nice relaxing walk round bradgate Park see the different types of wildlife that the park has to offer very muddy due to the amount of rain we have had car park was very busy had a nice walk for the new year

Booked well in advance as driving 4 hours from the south coast to visit my 90 year old dad and take him out for lunch on Christmas eve. Researched a dog friendly pub and also made reference to my dog in the additional notes section. Arrived at a huge pub with many empty tables to be told that the 4 dog friendly tables were taken as they hadn't bothered to read my booking correctly. No apologies or attempts to accommodate us. Staff were rude and unhelpful. By all means enjoy the wonderful bradgate park with your dog but do not be under any illusion that this pub is dog friendly.

My recent visit to The Bradgate with friends and a small dog was regrettably underwhelming. Our group, consisting of four adults and a well-behaved canine, went there with the simple hope of enjoying a drink together after a walk through Bradgate Park. Upon our request for seating, we were promptly informed that the presence of our small dog precluded us from dining in the main area, which was notably almost empty at the time. We were then told that the designated dog-friendly zone, was fully booked. The size of this indoor pet-accommodating space was surprisingly limited compared to the rest of the establishment. Further exacerbating our disappointment, we noticed a table becoming available in the dog-friendly section as a group left. However, our hopes were dashed when the staff informed us that the table was reserved – a rigid stance, particularly considering our plan was for a brief visit of merely 15 to 20 minutes for a drink. We waited for a taxi for the following 15 minutes, during which time we noted that the table that had previously become available, was still available. The complete lack of flexibility or the offer of a temporary seating arrangement until the reserved party arrived was disappointing. Moreover, the interaction with the staff lacked any semblance of warmth or hospitality. We were met with a blunt and unwelcoming attitude, with no effort made to accommodate or empathise with our situation. It was disconcerting to see a customer-focused business display such indifference, especially given the conspicuous availability of seating in the larger part of the pub. In conclusion, our experience at The Bradgate was marked by rigidity and a lack of customer service. The inability to adapt to a simple request, coupled with an unwelcoming demeanour, overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable experience at the pub.

We called in for an early evening meal on Friday , as we like the atmosphere and the wonderful friendly staff. I wish we could say the same about the food. Fish and chips is difficult to get wrong, but it was awful. The fish was tasteless and the chips were rock hard. Even the mushy peas had no flavour. Very disappointing. There were only a handful of customers in the building, so more attention could have been given to the standard of the food before just dishing it up.

My friend and I went to a favourite place of mine bradgate Park and we went into this lovely little pub...my friend chose the mixed grill which was huge ..I chose a chicken and mushroom pie, which was beautiful full of filling I'd recommend it, the staff were just lovely to...I would go back again

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience, after complaining about how cold the venue was (3 times) and then suggesting to put the log fire on did they do this. Not all customers drink alcohol to keep warm, so comparing us to other customers is unfair to say they arent complaining. Service was really and dismissive. Never again. Do not recommend

I eat here fairly regularly with friends and family. Great service and pub food. Pizza oven means always great pizza too!!

Visited family in Leicestershire and booked the festive menu. We ate at lunch time and it was quiet. I would love to know a bit of the history of The Bradgate. A venue with lots of character and I suspect a story or two to tell. If I was going to make any suggestions there is a need for some cosmetic improvements to the building and interior. However, 5* to the staff. Very positive, engaging and customer focussed. Nothing too much bother. And if you want full wholesome food you will not be disappointed. All three course were plentiful, served piping hot and well presented. The crackers and mini Christmas tree with chocolates on it a nice touch. Only one out of four managed to clear their plate! Great value for money.

I made a pit stop here while on a bike ride. I only can in for the one drink alone, but found the staff to be very friendly and attentive. On previous visits to The Bradgate, I’ve always found everything to be flawless. The atmosphere of the venue is equally impressive, blending contemporary design but without compromising the building’s historical heritage. There’s also plenty of seating around the venue that each have their own cosiness and charm.

I don't think you get value for money the beer is expensive and the pies are not as big as he used to be but there's certainly charging of money from the gravey very poor you pick the juggle up and a greater does not run out that's our sad it is thank you

We came here on Sunday for dinner and it was superb, we had roast gammon and turkey and the kids menu is brilliant. They don’t do Guinness but the titanic stout is just as good. Service was very good and the location is good after a nice walk around Bradgate park. We’ll be back very soon.

I organised a family gathering here for 25 people and wanted a hot meal rather than a finger buffet. Gary and his team were more than happy to cook what we chose and supplied speakers for the area near to the back door in main restaurant for some 60’s background music) we had older relatives who probably couldn’t make the stairs for the bigger events room) It was cosy and warm and looked beautiful with some balloons. The food was spot on, having plenty of leftovers to take home! It honestly was the most wholesome lasagne and chicken curry with a mixture of sides. Everyone, young and old commented on how tasty it all was. The staff were so very kind and helpful, I really couldn’t of wished for a better venue. The price was very reasonable too. Many thanks to The Bradgate!

When we went for our dinner today, our initial thoughts through walking in were outstanding. The inside is very luxurious, clean and a great dining experience. The service was friendly and we were served immediately by a kind waitress. After ordering our drinks and food, we were served quite quickly and the quality of the food/drinks was exceptional. I decided to have a Beer Battered Fish and Chips and my parents had a Vegan Burger and Chicken and Bacon Pie. We were served within minutes. However, the wrong table had been served and was a slight error but we were offered a 10% discount through drinks and food and were initially even told that it was on the house. After the error, we were served our main course and the food was incredibly appealing to look at, absolutely mouth-watering! We were all impressed with our meals, however the chips were definitely a let down. They were soggy, dry, blanched in oil and had absolutely no crisp whatsoever - it was like tasting the inside of a raw potato. On the other hand, the fish was absolutely banging and would definitely recommend. As said, you are warmly welcomed by staff and treated very nicely; service is quality. Would definitely recommend a visit.

My sister and I came for a glass of wine and stayed for Sunday lunch. Was perfect: Beef with all the trimmings: cooked to perfection. Everything on the plate was delicious and the portions were big. Will definitely return. Staff really lovely.

It's not the first time Mrs Stilton and I have been here, this is the place to come for a special occasion, the food is delicious and the ambience is superb. You should call first to book a table as this place is Popular with a capital P.....there is an excellent choice of pizza and mrs Stilton's roast beef was delicious, her words, a full pizza will set you back, from £11.50 onwards, the roast from £15.00 on. Doesn't break the bank! Try it out after a walk around Bradgate Park, it will surely make your day!!

Great venue that is backed up by cheerful and excellent staff. Although a typical pub grub menu the quality of ingredients presentation is high grade. So although the comment "typical pub grub" may appear to be negative it is far from it. We will be visiting again.

Last minute decision to eat out. It was “steak night” and we had a mixed grill and gammon steak with a drink . Upgraded for £1 to a bigger or better drink. Good portion size and very good value. Hard working friendly waitress ( Tracey)

After a nice hour or two walk around Bradgate Park, the sun was shining and we headed to The Bradgate for a spot of lunch. We started in the garden with a nice chilled pint of cider and then headed in for a Sunday roast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We booked a table for around 3pm and they managed to squeeze us in earlier (around 1:30ish). We were placed in a small room at the front of pub by the bar, which had a nice olde atmosphere. We ordered beef roast with all the works including cauliflower cheese, which was delicious! The portions were big and the Yorkshire pudding was huge! It was difficult to finish so no desert was ordered. We will most definitely be back to try more from the menu!

We are regulars at the Bradgate and normally we have a great experience with the lovely food and the great staff. We visited for a mid week meal outside in the nice outdoor seating area. We regularly order the pizza and handcut chips which are...

Popped in for a quick drink with friends. Plenty if seating inside and in garden. Was very envious of the giant Yorkshire puddings on the plates of roast dinners. Great service , at least 2 roast dinners flew past me every 5 mins. Lovely friendly staff, well worth a visit.

High hopes on entering this place..... Worst roast dinner I've eaten, Yorkshire was solid, roast potatoes hardly edible, beef like rubber, cauliflower cheese was mushy. The food apeared to have been left under the heat for a long period of time. Ontop of this was a party upstairs with loud dance music! Tiger beer was good

Met up with friends for lunch. Ordered the homemade pie special which they said would be 30 mins as it was still cooking. When it arrived it was delicious. The accompanying chips, peas and gravy were also hot and tasted freshly cooked. Service was friendly....

My daughter and I both ordered a different Gluten free pizza(we are coeliacs). They were both really tasty, full of topping and hot.

Superb food. We had chilli and lime chicken gluten free and salmon both really tasty.

We went here with family for a Sunday lunch and my partner is gluten free. The menu doesn’t have many options but he went for the Gluten free roast which advised that some items such as the Yorkshire pudding and cauliflower cheese would be removed however would be substituted with GF food. However this was not the case. His food was served with no additions and with hardly any food on his plate. Very disappointed as the food is not cheap.

Went to visit for father's day for me, with my wife and kids. Don't live in Leicestershire anymore so was nice to visit a place we used to go to many years ago. Food was really nice, recommend the pizzas! However service was let down...

Fabulous lunch dining experience. We hadn’t booked but the proprietor fitted us in. Five of us for lunch. Every meal including desserts was excellent. Very generous portions and beautifully cooked. Cost the same as for all pub meals . Honestly, best eating out meal that...

Went last October for my birthday meal. Had to book food ahead because of high number of guests. When we all got there the food was served promptly and everybody was happy. My birthday cake was brought out with a candle to blow out! The staff were polite and helpful and I would definitely go back again for a family meal. A1

5* plus….I contacted Gary looking for a small space/venue for a wake after my fathers funeral at Gilrose Crematorium. I was met with kindness and professionalism at all times, and nothing was ever too much trouble. I was 100% confident that he would make it work for us, and he did. The light finger buffet was just right and the scones, jam and cream were a big hit too! Thank you again Gary. You delivered a first class service on what was to be a really tough day - and most importantly, you gave me one less thing to worry about. Helen

Food not very nice the bread had no butter the food was dry the chicken starter inedible and the service was poor.

Been here few times when we have visited Bradgate Park with our dogs. Dogs are allowed to go in, in a separate area with you while you eat and that's one of the reasons we like it. Plenty of outdoor tables for Al fresco if the weather permits so another bonus.

We came in to do some work and had the best tasting aperol we’ve ever had! Staff were so friendly and served us quick! We had the loaded fries they came out quickly and tasted amazing! Defiantly be returning for the best alerol spritz in...

A fantastic park which is great for walking and cycling. Suitable for pinics as well. Many red deer and fallow deer can be seen in several parts of the park. Toilets are available. Car parking closes at 8.30pm. Only one café within the park. Pet friendly. Recommend this place

You should indroduce in the manu to section deserts "lava cake"
