Amelia was amazing and so helpful! We played the darts, pool & shuffleboard and she helped set games up & explained them for us if we needed any help! Thank you!

Great venue, great drinks. Came here as a large group for Mother’s Day drinks before meal. Was a great surprise as not been in since the refurb - but we will gladly come back again soon. 10/10 all round. And thanks to the staff for taking photos of our group for us 💛

After a lovely refurb and reopening in 2023 the owners decided that Loughborough needed a ‘pub games’ venue so subsequently closed to repurpose the venue. How wide of the mark could they have been with their assessment… really disappointing following last years reopening into a lovely vibrant bar again that they subsequently changed the use and thus limited and alienated previous customers..after all you may visit a bar several/ many times a year but a games venue less so…

It’s changed its use from music and fun to playing games you have to pay to do! Definitely not going anymore yet it used to be fabulous and popular!

Pretty flippant with their opening hours, says online open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays 9-3am. Specifically went out to go there last night (Friday at around 12am) and wasn't open 🤷‍♂️

As a loyal customer of The Kelso we were extremly disappointed by the reopening. The Bouncers were extremely aggressive and didn't show any compassion nor adherence for licensing regulation and made my group feel extremely embarrassed and bemoralised. Considering they only opened last week, I would expect that they would want to encourage custom from locals, but the way that treated us and made us feel the exact opposite. Disgusting customer service and bouncer staff, I hope that they adapt a more welcoming aditude going forward they're service. The bouncer staff should be more considering and accommodating to customers.

Perfect atmosphere, venue is well decorated and tidy. Staff are super friendly! Cocktails were amazing!!

Visited for the Tuxedo Swing event in February. A great venue with good cocktails and fantastic happy hour drinks deals. The interior of the bar is very nice, which adds to the intimate and cosy vibe. The live band were fantastic, which definitely made for a really good evening out in Loughborough. We'll be keeping an eye out on upcoming events!

Just wanted to say on behalf of the Cocktail Society, thank you to the staff who hosted us the other night. All our members really enjoyed the drinks they got to make with the team there. Danny, Michala and Katy were great for helping us out and as always we’ll be back to collaborate with the Kelso again in the near future!

The LGBT+ Association at Loughborough were recently hosted by The Kelso in the upstairs room. As always, they provide such a wonderful atmosphere, always treat us extremely well and are very attentive. Dan, the bartender was fantastic, making cocktails the entire evening and chatting away to all our members, he made us feel extremely welcome. Danny, who helped us organise the evening was extremely attentive and made our experience with The Kelso a brilliant one. Katy was also a star, she engaged brilliantly with our community, and when we unfortunately had an incident with a patron who shouted a slur at our community, without hesitation she went after the patron and assured us he’d never be welcome again. This did not affect the experience one bit. Everyone was so welcoming, we had a fantastic event, and we know that The Kelso supported us 100%. On behalf of the LGBT+ Association we really want to sincerely thank you. It means a lot to be so welcomed and supported, we look forward to coming back!

Last night we hosted our Cocktail Social at the Kelso and they were absolutely amazing! Our bartender Dan was incredibly efficient and friendly! Thank you as well to Katy for dealing with the homophobic patron! A star. Thank you again to everyone at the Kelso, from the Lboro LGBT+ committee ❤️

Attended for an event and the drinks were tasty and bar tenders had some good recommendations. Staff were also really friendly and there was a lively atmosphere.

I went here for a social in October. I had the best time!!! Everyone was so lovely behind the bar and they serve the best jam donut shots I’ve ever had!!!! You need to try one ! Reasonably priced and nice atmosphere. Definitely go if you get the chance !

We booked a social here for a murder mystery evening and it was a huge success. We booked through Danny who was really helpful and accommodating, providing everything we asked for, such as an aux cord. Everyone had an amazing evening! The venue was perfect for gathering and the cocktails are amazing too! Amazing cocktails (my favourite is Danny's Chocolate Orange!).

Micha is great. Makes the place feel like it's full of friends. Great music and no fighting! Even the door staff will sneak you in for free if you're cool 😎

The worst club I’ve ever been to. Needs a massive renovation. The chairs are broken. The toilets are worst then a prison. And the venue stinks of urine

Extensive (and tasty) cocktail menu, good draught beers, cheery bar staff and friendly door staff, what more could you ask for? 10/10 would recommend :-)
