Jades Tea Rooms in Charnwood

Not been for a while but glad we came back. The coffee was nice, the toasted sarnie was great and the cakes are amazing, so good, in fact, I bought another to take home! Always love to sit outside and enjoy the super friendly little chaffinches flirting back & forth to get some cake crumbs!

We popped in after a stroll around Bradgate park and what a treat. It was lovely. Very welcoming team of people and space to eat outside and enjoy the sun. I'd happily re visit for more cake 😋

Treated my friend for her birthday, and did not regret it. Food was delicious, fresh, and boxed up the items we couldn’t finish whilst we were there. Staff were friendly and attentive, would definitely recommend and would visit again. Thank you for a lovely afternoon tea.

Just a little feedback.... if you have jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise on the menu, please combine the tuna and the mayonnaise before you add them to the potato 😂 I was surprised to get lots of dry tuna on a potato with a separate pot of mayo as well as portions of butter that i couldn't use because, well, the tuna was already on there. I think I picked the one item that was a bit sub par, everything else has always been superb

Lovely cafe. The only problem is that the food has gone downhill. The chips were awful and probably twice cooked so were crisp but full of fat. The cheese in the panini was tasteless. We used to enjoy the food there. Please don't cheapen the ingredients as its not cost effective in the long run.

Came there to have some lunch, they had a variety of food choice, staff was nice and friendly, had to go in to order and had to wait in the queue for a bit It was good value for money

Love riding to Jade's tea room those who work there are always happy and friendly with natural warmth. They are on the ball with COVID safety as spotless inside and out plenty of sanitizer stations. There cakes are just to gorgeous. I tried there new winter warmer hot chocolate with gingerbread men cream and cinnamon spot on now it's getting cooler. I've been to loads of cafes on bike rides but this is always the best, best for food and drink, best for location as it's in a stunning village and best for service as they make you feel welcome

Came here yesterday whilst on a walk with friends. We have been here before and now always choose to come! I can recommend the naughty hot chocolate and the scones are fantastic but the menu has a lot of choice! Thanks again.

Great to see the team at Jade back! All covid 19 recommendations are being followed, lots of hand sanitiser, separate entrance /exit, spacing between tables. Food was great.

We visited Jade for the first time yesterday since lockdown and I have to say how impressed I was with the covid organisation! Staff all wearing visors, best till/counter screen I have seen anywhere, lots of hand sanotiser, good one way system (though not 'idiot' proof, obviously there's always someone that ignores the clear instructions). Food was great, service extremely pleasant and friendly, what more can I say except welcome back Jade

Visited the jade tearoom yesterday the food was excellent however the server was NOT wearing a facemask or gloves!!!! During these difficult times you would think that the owner would insist on their servers wearing facemasks and gloves during any contact with their customers they would get a five score for the food but a zero score for the servers

I have used this tea room on a regular basis for a while and was very happy to hear it had opened back up, staff are friendly and food is lovely, but i am very dissapointed that on my visit today 10/8 /20 that all staff were wearing some sort of facecovering other than the person serving behind the counter, this is one of the first people you encounter and they should be giving you the confidence that the correct covid hygiene procedure's are being followed, i under stand there is a screen but this person serving had made our drinks and sliced my cake up with out there mouth or nose being covered whilst talking ....... stricter rules for staff behind the counter should be followed !!!!!

Scummy food and great value. Covid guidelines followed to the letter but all worked really well and efficiently Well done girls, keep it up

Went to Jades Tea Room for the first time. I ordered a tea and the waitress picked up the tea bag with her fingers and placed it in my cup. Post Covid 1, I imagined a more hygienic approach such as sanitising in front of me or use tongs to pick out the tea bag. I have no idea if her hands were washed or whether she had sterilised?? Was really put off!!

Went for afternoon tea as birthday treat for my partner. Nice location, Friendly staff, tasty food. Would of liked a better selection of sandwiches as it was just ham or egg. Also would of liked the cream & jam to come into little pots instead of the way it was served. Apart from that no complaints and everyone else seemed to be enjoying there food and surroundings. Would happily go back one day.

We popped in here today after a long walk around beautiful Bradgate Park. Service, food and café itself were all really top notch. The homemade soup (with warm bread) and cakes were just delicious. Last time we were here we went to a neighbouring café which was good, too, but not as good as Jade. We will definitely be back.

Called in here on a very wet day after walking the dog at Bradgate Park. Dogs aren’t allowed in but there are 2 tables that are undercover at the side of the building.I had an egg mayo sandwich in granary bread with a side salad and my partner had cheese and mushroom omelette with chips and salad. The sandwich was very nice and was on lovely soft bread. My partner said the omelette was the best he’d ever had. The lady that served us was very friendly and helpful and it looked spotlessly clean. They have blankets that you can use if you are wet or cold. We will definitely go back.

Lovely cafe with a superb selection of lunchtime foods, and a wide variety of delicious cakes! Great setting too.

Visited to return a plate that on Thursday had a Bakewell tart on. Returned today as it was empty....it was absolutely delicious and went down a treat at my 60th cream tea party. Treated myself and my mum to a hot chocolate, that went down a treat as well. Many thanks for a delicious Bakewell tart. Will be back.

I have been visiting this tearoom at least once a week for many years, the staff are always polite and friendly, the food is always to a high standard and I must say im very partial to a slice of the delicious cakes, they always have a multiple selection on display, I must make comment towards the below review though, I would never compare this tea room to a transport café you would not find the quality or different types of tea in such a place, I think some people struggle to move with the times, I suggest ordering your tea to come out with your meal if your worried about it still being warm when your food arrives, there are worse things in the world going on than to worry about if your tea comes in a pot or in a mug, this should be a go to place when out and about in the bradgate area, I highly recommend it.

This has been a favorite tea room after a walk in Bradgate Park for many years. Lovely staff, home cooked meals, cakes to die for but ....... new strategy, chuck tea bag in hot water, don’t even think of asking for a tea pot. Tea cold by the time your meal comes. Really, you must be joking, if I wanted it served like that I could go to a transport cafe.

To anyone that has not visited Jade Tea Rooms, why not?.... it is a great place to go and enjoy food and drink, either with family, friends or by yourself for some time out.The food is tasty, the cakes and treats are simply delicious!!Good range on the whole menu.I can recommend the scones (with cream of course), the flapjack is scrumptious (my favourite are the chewy corner pieces) and the florentines are delicious!! To be fair, everything in the cold counter is worth a try.Finally, the staff really make this place ... they are friendly, polite and welcoming.Go and visit.

Better staff cakes wonderful wish they do some vegan though food nice good prices in a beautiful village they have cleaned outside and got new tables that’s why I have reviewed from my review before as praise is needed

Came here after a walk round Bradgate Park on Saturday - we planned to just have a drink and then decided to have a bite to eat as the menu was very inviting. I had the Cream Tea - an incredible scone with beautiful cream and jam to accompany - but my friends all enjoyed their toasties! I have to add that the gluten free bread was a hit and it’s not often you get an almost identical taste, look and colour. Also - get the naughty hot chocolate !!

Friend and I arrived late lunch to have quick lunch before long walk in Bradgate park. This is the perfect place. So many wonderful fresh savory and sweet options. Super cakes, large scones and biscuits on display. We both had hot sandwiches well toasted and interesting flavours. Bacon with mushrooms and also with Brie. Large hot mugs of drinks and quick friendly service.

Called in here at 10am after an early morning walk around Bradgate Park, ideally situated opposite the main entrance to the park. We had a pot of tea for 2 and a fruit scone each with butter, £5.80. I thought that very reasonably priced the scone was very big and absolutely fantastic. A lovely little cafe with outdoor seating and friendly staff. Looking forward to returning and will definitely be returning.

Great location for post park walk with a homely style and nice homemade food and cakes. Upstairs and outdoor seating too.

Called in for a drinks and a nice bit of cake and was pleasantly surprised. Normally use the deer barn but no seating available so thought we would try here for a change. Good range of cake and drinks. Seems to be a good range of other items on menu, prices looked reasonable. Will definitely call here again if in the area

Visited today for lunch. Have not been for about 2 years and it's only got better. Decor now contemporary clean and tidy. Can pay by card now. Food fabulous. Choice vast and difficult to choose. I had omelette and my husband had soup both great.

1st visit of the new year on my bike and first time sitting inside , it is really classy, smart and gorgeous inside lovely tables and breakfast style area for 2 people there is seating upstairs as well.

Try to take a coffee at Jades every Sunday after walking in the park with our dog. Coffee and cake always great and very good service.

We keep returning here as it never falters. Friendly, efficient service and lovely meals wether you choose a snack or a meal. The three egg omelettes are superb. If you like chips, they do these to perfection.

We walked from the far side of Bradgate Park and enjoyed a very nice cup of tea, an enormous, tasty scone with jam and cream and a slice of Tiffin. The service was excellent. We have been a number of times and hope we will go again soon. Always take visitors there after the walk through the park.

Nice place to pause on a walk/bike ride and have some cake. A homely venue with good service. Lunch food is average and standard for a café. The cakes are really good though and would recommend.

Rather disappointed after reading the reviews. Having been doing the rounds on tea rooms was expecting this to be one of the better ones. Unfortunately have to say that the carrot cake was probably one of the poorest I've tasted. Very dry around the edges and not very appetizing at all. On the plus side coffee was good.

On our way to bradgate park , we noticed the cafe was open, so decided to nip in for a cuppa. We soon changed our minds, not just a cuppa, but the size of the scones.....and taste, worth the change of mind. We sat outside, as the dog was in the car, a lovely cream tea for breakfast on a Sunday morning, most enjoyable.

So when I got woken up this morning, being told we were going to some place near Leicester, I have to say I was less than enthused! Went with it though, after all, it is a Sunday.

Simply the best tea room/cafe I've been to !! this is the 3rd time I've visited this friendly stylish tea room and well worth the 60 mile + round trip on my bike. I have stopped at a fair few but Jade's tea room is simply the best.

2nd visit just as excellent as the first. Service efficient and friendly. Food served in good time and all four meals were delicious. The special of the day “cheese chorizo and olive toastie” was particularly good. Will definitely visit again. The perfect stop off after a walk round adjacent Bradgate Park

Was cycling through the village and saw Jade tea room and great seating area outside.

Fancied a nibble for lunch so popped in Jade tea rooms , sat outside in sunshine with a coffee after ordering food didn’t have to wait long before delicious hot panini and a baguette arrived . Decided to have a “cake a way “ takeout for later at home they were delicious too will definitely return.

I love coming to Jade tea rooms , the food is alway hot and tasty. The scones are to die for and if you ask they will split them in two for you to share. The other cakes always look really good too. The only niggle is if you want to go and get extra drinks it can take quite along time in the queue as there is only one place for everyone to order food and drinks. When you’ve already queued once it puts you off .

A nice cafe with some lovely cakes sandwiches and snacks. It gets rather busy in the summer season and sometimes there is qeueing. It is a pity there is only room for one member of staff serving even when there several people waiting to be served. The outside tables are popular. HOWEVER there no longer seem to be sandwich options for gluten-intolerant people, jacket potatoes were the only option last week. Actually there were no gluten free cakes either when we called recently. This is a backward move as they used to keep gluten free bread and it isn’t difficult to keep some in the freezer and toast it on demand: hence our average rating.

We have been visiting Jade's for many years and cannot fault it. The food is lovely and very reasonably priced. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and it does not take long for your order to be delivered, even on busy days. Yes there is usually a queue at the counter to be served, but there would not be enough space for two servers behind the counter. This is a small price to pay for the excellent food, luscious cakes and good tea and coffees. A big thing in Jade's favour is that the outside chairs are comfortable CHAIRS and not the horrid wooden tables and backless benches that most tea shops now seem to be changing to! Jade please do not follow others, but keep your lovely backed chairs

Bought a selection of cakes to bring home, unfortunately my grandson who has a severe nut allergy ate a treacle tart and suffered a reaction to it, When I rang today they said it contained Brazil nuts(which he is allergic to) I informed them there was no labelling on the cakes informing of ingredient and whoever I spoke to said they had been redecorating and the labels hadn’t been put back !!!!! Surely this is a priority. Very disappointed with their response as this could have had very serious consequences

We had a red pepper and goats cheese panini with a tuna baked potato. Food was great and the service was fantastic and very friendly. A lovely place to eat.

Jades is opposite the main entrance park so yes it will get busy at the weekend and on nice days- that shows its popular!. The omelettes are lovely, the staff friendly and the coffee and cakes are fab

We called into the Jade Tea rooms after a walk at Bradgate Park, Good choice of food on the menu. There were plenty of seats outside but it was too cold so we went inside. The queue for the till starts just behind the door as you go in, so there isn't much room to squeeze in. We weren't sure if you sat down and your order was taken or if you just queued. We queued. We were stood quite a long while. I went to sit down whilst I could see a free table. My husband continued to queue. He was ages before he joined me at the table. They could have done with 2 people taking orders and doing drinks. Whilst I sat at the table, a girl came to clear the tables, she was very flustered, and was banging the plates on to the tray. She didn't wipe any of the tables ready for others to sit down. I went to look for a tissue to wipe the puddle of water but there weren't any. Food was quick to arrive and was tasty. Hope they get it right when summer comes!!

After a walk around Bradgate Park we decided to have a bite to eat at this tea room. We both ordered a baguette which was full of filling and absolutely delicious.

We went there for a coffee and cake it was nice we had to go upstairs as it quite small downstairs. The coffee cake is nice you can actually taste the coffee. The scone was ok a bit dry. The coffee was good.

I absolutely love coming here, welcoming staff, yummy food and always a smile to greet you! I couldn't recommend this place enough if you're visiting Bradgate, compared to the other places near by its very reasonable. Just also want to say I was visiting here with an elderly relative and I rang ahead to see if we could book a table, unfortunately they do not take bookings, however, when we arrived they had put a "reserved" paper sign on the table. They said they reserved it just in case as they assumed my grandma would struggle to get up the stairs (which she would)... this just shows you what kind of people work here... kind, considering & caring! Walked my dog around Bradgate park and called in for a coffee afterwards. Having muddy boots and a Dobermann I didn't feel comfortable stepping inside. But the friendly, helpful staff came to my rescue and delivered a cup of excellent coffee outside to me. Not eaten yet here but will be as the warmer days come and if the food is as good as the staff then it should be excellent.

We've popped in for a quick snack and coffee following a walk in Bradgate Park. What a lovely place it is! Coffee delicious, freshly made smoothies bursting with flavour and cakes to die for carrot cake was definitely a winner! My son also had a jacket potato and he scoffed it all up within 5 mins (an adult portion!!) leaving nothing behind, thus safe to assume it was yummy We will definitely come back soon!

We went here for lunch on a weekday afternoon and found the staff very friendly and chatty who were willing to have a conversation rather than rushing you so they can serve the next person. Cakes and light lunches were very nice. Ideal after a walk at Bradgate Park.

We called in again for lunch before having a walk in the park nearby. Once again the staff were friendly there was a good choice of meals and snacks very reasonably priced. The restaurant was busy but we found a table upstairs, we ordered our food which was served in good time and was very nice . When we’re next down in the area we will definitely be calling again

Seating outside and inside and always fairly busy but the staff are great. Great choice of hot and cold drinks and scrumptious home made cakes. I have no hesitation in recommending this cafe.

This is such a delicious treat after a walk around Bradgate Park. The cakes are amazing and there is so much choice! It's also great value for money. Bit of a shame that it takes ages to queue to order food but the staff are really friendly so it makes up for it!

I met up with family and was very impressed with the Tea Rooms. The food is lovely and reasonably priced. The selection of cakes is awesome. Well worth a visit and I shall be returning.

My friend and I popped in to the Jade tearooms whilst visiting Bradgate Park. We Iive nearby,so only wanted a quick coffee. Our drinks were piping hot and the coffee was lovely,service was warm and welcoming,we didn't have to wait even though it was very busy. Love the decor! Will definitely come back,though probably for lunch,as the menu looked lovely,lots of choices. PS cakes on the counter looked a bit yummy! Naughty but nice!

Coffee and cakes were great and cheap! Lovely place and service was fantastic. Easily accommodated for a large group of cyclist. Cannot recommend enough!

Always made to feel so welcome here, I love to pop in from next door for beans on toast and the portions are massive!!!! Such good value and the ladies are always happy to have a chat. Visited for lunch. We ordered the fish cakes and were very disappointed with the quality. There was very little fish. I would prefer 1 decent fish cake rather than 3 potato cakes.

Excellent fresh baguettes of prawn and egg mayo. Once you have got through the queue to order food arrives fairly quickly. Not too keen on the cardboard tortillas that comes with them but the little salad is welcome.

We found this place when visiting Bradgate Park, really friendly staff, beautiful converted house, cakes to die for and a great lunch menu, try the giant fish finger brioche with salad and chips - all very reasonably priced.

After a long walk around the park we stopped off for a cold drink and snack. We found a table outside. The stilton and mushroom toastie on granery bread was delicious.

This is a top cafe. Home made fabulous cakes. Very good general menu. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Always made welcome .Walkers and children are all welcome. Always clean and tidy with a pleasant ambience.

The is the best tea shop in Leicestershire with staff who are consistently friendly and helpful. The food is no nonsence and there is a huge variety of cakes on offer. The scones are made fresh every morning. Everything is priced less than the local competition.

Yo vivo bastante localmente y disfrute de un paseo a este café y volver. La comida siempre es sabroso y con una gran selección, a cualquier hora del día en que se visite. Incluso cuando muy concurrido durante las vacaciones escolares, siempre logramos conseguir una mesa. Porciones tarta son enormes, pero nunca puedo resistirme a la tentación, son realmente deliciosas.

This tea room is in such a pretty location just opposite the church, a quintessential English setting. On a lovely day sitting outside is perfect. The food is always very good whatever you choose. Service is great too. Keeps drawing me back.

Me las arreglé para visitar todos los cafés en el pueblo hoy y aún así éste el mejor por la calidad y variedad de tortas. La zona de estar se ha renovado y hace una zona luminosa y agradable, con un agradable espacio al aire libre. Además de los millonarios quebradiza fabulosas tartas más grandes y un montón de bollos, deliciosa!

Habiendo hecho una larga caminata en el Parque Bradgate nos v sed y hambre y esta tetería precioso está al lado de la carretera. Mesas afuera nos acogió como el clima era hermoso. Muy exhaustivo menú de excelentes precios. La gente parecía tener excelente comida eran que ayudó a nuestra elección! ! El personal amable y muy limpio y bien decorado. Pedimos dos platos de nachos, una hamburguesa con patatas fritas y ensalada dos coca colas y una limonada sólo £24 fentimans. 95. Cuando la comida llegó fue porciones enormes y deliciosos. ¿Qué más se puede pedir! !

Fuimos un día hermoso. Nos sentamos fuera, ya que el tiempo era precioso. Pedí una chaqueta de patata y mi compañero tenía un queso y jamón gratinados. A los dos nos encantó la experiencia. Mi perro lo qué parecía ser biscuit perro casero. Definitivamente volveré de nuevo.

Not over busy as day was dull, choices quite good for lunch, chocolate ganache cake delicious. We will return next time we walk this area.

Llamamos después de un agradable paseo por Bradgate Park. El establecimiento satisface nuestras necesidades para bebidas calientes y pasteles todas eran preciosas. Aunque la mayoría de asientos adecuados arriba - no ideal, con 2 niños pequeños menores de 4 años, pero que me son muy delicados.

A great place for a pit stop after a walk in Bradgate park. Friendly efficient service, good selection of hot and cold snacks with good sized portions especially the cakes. We will be back.

Lovely cafe with great cakes... Nice outside seating too on sunny days. The inside is a little tired these days and not as attractive as other cafes but the cakes really take some beating and lots of choice not just the obvious!

Range of cake looked great - but almost everyone ( 9 of us) was disappointed with their choices. The only happy person had chips not cake! Wouldn't go back by choice

Visited here with a group of friends after a walk in Bradgate Park. Good tea and coffee and my baked potato with the unusual filling of mushrooms and cashew nuts was delicious. There's a wide variety of food on offer.

Decent coffee and very good cake! Had a fruity crumble slice, was a bit original and just the things needed before finishing a long cycle route!

Popped in for a coffee and a cake after a walk in Bradgate Park and it was very busy so a good sign you would think but the coffee was from one of those glass jugs and was not very warm and must of been standing a bit and my partners hot chocolate was like warm mud with cream on the top. I chose carrot cake as it looked better than the small piece of coffee cake I was offered first and that was a mistake as the carrot cake was over cooked and very dry. As it was so busy and we had struggled to get a seat it did not seem worth complaining, just voting with the internet and my feet so will not be coming back.

Cortado de un paseo en Bradgate antes de parque al otro lado de la calle para algo para comer. Quedamos muy sorprendidos por la buena selección de comida caliente y fría. Nos limitamos a tostado encajonado paninis y patatas fritas, pero había muchas otras opciones y fueron algunos de los mejores sándwiches calientes que he tenido en un rato! Precioso también ofrece bebidas calientes. Realmente quería probar una de las Tartas porque parecía tan buena pero ya estaba demasiado lleno. . . Parece que tienes que regresar!

Dropped in after a walk in Bradgate Park, tea for two. Good atmosphere tea and cake. Good service, The National Trust can learn much about how to provide a simple service, but do it well from places like this.

Tomó nuestros estudiantes de posgrado a Bradgate Park y lo pasamos de maravilla, ver a los ciervos. En el Jade acabada té Habitaciones para reservada merienda. Aunque estábamos un poco tarde y cerca de la hora de cierre, el personal no podría haber sido mejor. Yo había pedido al gluten bollo gratis esperando el típico cartón pero fue increíble. Los bollos son todos hechos en las premisas y son enormes la mermelada y crema son ciertamente aplicado generosamente y una taza de té con agua caliente para rellenar. No puedo esperar a volver.

Throughout the winter our training group (Loughborough University XC women's group) we do some sessions at Bradgate Park. Afterwards, as a treat, we will visit Jade's Tea Room as it is incredible. The chocolate cake and hot chocolate are the best I've ever tasted. I have also went for lunch and the food is just as amazing! This place is so amazing that we make the trip up to Bradgate especially for this tea room. Would highly recommend!

Yo he visitado el Jade tes dos veces este verano con mi marido y mi hijo. Hemos probado sus patatas chaqueta, paninis y scones de queso y todas las comidas eran excelentes y una gran relación calidad-precio. Sus pasteles eran tan tentadora, pero estábamos demasiado llenos de probarlas, pero mi hijo no casa con rodajas de cuatro diferentes tipos de 'pudding' por la noche después de la cena con su esposa. Nos sentamos cada vez, ya que el tiempo era tan bueno. El servicio era muy bueno y, aunque la habitación de té era aún muy lleno a las 3 de la tarde, no tuvimos que esperar mucho tiempo para nuestra comida. Altamente recomendado.

Mi amigo y yo caminamos ida bradgate park a principios de mes y vine aquí después. Ambos tuvimos sándwiches tostados y una bebida! Nos sentamos afuera ya que era un día soleado. El servicio era excelente. Ambos bocadillos eran servidos en pan gruesos acompañados por un pequeño granero ensalada. Mi pollo y chorizo era preciosa y una buena relación calidad-precio. El menú era amplia para satisfacer todos los gustos y todas las otras ofrendas en el menú era muy apetecible. No teníamos como estábamos demasiado lleno, pero las tartas dentro en la pantalla parecía exquisito. Toda la comida alrededor, saliendo un aspecto encantador. Definitivamente volveremos, la decoración era preciosa, la comida increíble y un servicio estupendo. Recomiendo este lugar a todo el mundo.

Este es un pequeño lugar maravillosa, justo al otro lado de la calle del Parque bradgate. Gran tartas y almuerzos. Muy bien decorado. Puedes tener tu relleno de deliciosas tartas y luego quemar las calorías con un uoff andando por el parque bradgate al otro lado de la carretera. Altamente recomendado.

Fuimos en Jades con mi novia, la culminación de un largo paseo en bicicleta.

Visited today after a walk in Bradgate park. Steadily busy but some empty tables luckily. Had an excellent salad which was very filling but just managed half a cake each and brought the rest home. Would definitely recommend.
