Possibly the best latte I have had in Leicestershire (up to this date of course), I don't know how they do it...especially as I'm borderline addicted to the things If you get a chance try the vanilla latte and let it cool slightly. Worth every penny. The foods decent as well and the premises is very quirky but unique.

We regularly visit this cafe and never fail to be satisfied with all aspects of the service from Sharon and her team and quality of the food and drinks on offer. Today was no exception with well made cappuccino and mocha and delicious carrot cake and an Easter special chocolate nest bun with mini eggs. I’m sure we’ll be back again next week. 😀😀

Coffee was okay but Victoria sponge and tiffin were dreadful - both tasted like washing up liquid. Possibly bakewares not rinsed of detergent. The cake was inedible due to the soapy taste (my daughter and I shared a piece takeaway). Apart from the taste it was also dry with a dense crumb. Very disappointing, and waste of money.

I had been on a training course at Glenfield all day and passed through Ansty on my way home wanting to visit Cropston which is where my family are from . I was desperate for a drink and shot in the Nook Coffee shop , to find they were about closed and had cleaned everything away , the very kind lady behind the counter took pity on me and made me a wonderful latte to take out , have to say it was one of the nicest coffees I’ve had and was so much appreciated ! Some people would have been really grumpy about but she still served me with a smile and made me feel welcome , thank you!

I called in today during my very short lunch break looking for a quick lunch to go. I ordered tomato soup to take back to work and eat, as I was cold. After approx.10 minutes of waiting (in the way of the waitresses taking orders to other diners) I was asked if I wanted bread with my soup, so i thought it was about to be brought out. Another 10 minutes went by and the waitresses kept squeezing by me, not smiling or even acknowledging me. So I caught ones attention and asked how much longer it would be as my lunch break was almost over. Without a smile she asked what I was waiting for. I told her soup, she looked on the kitchen and said it wouldn't be long. Then a couple of minutes later said they only had enough for half a portion. I was gutted. Then asked if I wanted anything else, to which I said a refund. My lunch break was over and I hadn't eaten. I had wasted my short break standing in a cold doorway of a cafe being ignored by numerous waitresses who couldn't even smile or acknowledge me. They had taken my money and it wasn't until I asked how much longer my soup was going to be that they thought to tell me they didn't have enough soup. So very disappointed. As a stressed, busy, nhs worker breaks are quite precious, as is eating. I cannot believe this poor customer service.

My Husband and I visited the Nook today for Lunch. We were seated by Sharon who was most welcoming, our track and trace and our order was taken by Kate, she remembered our names from a previous visit. The food was excellent, as the weather was so hot, they had a Specials Board which we both selected from I had thd Ploughmans Salad and my husband had a Duck in Hoisin Sauce Wrap with a Salad Garnish, both meals were very well presented. Erin came and asked if we needed any condiments, which we didn't, she was so polite. We also ordered Pancakes with Strawberries and Vanilla Ice Cream which was a lovely finish to our meal. To complete our meals I had a pot of Tea and my Husband had a bottle of Anstey Beer which is brewed locally. We received 1st Class Service from Sharon, Kate and Erin and look forward to our next visit, and would suggest if you haven't visited the Nook, you are missing.

This coffee shop is lovely. The inside is small but quaint. The outside now has seating but it is near a busy roundabout - it's fine if you're after people watching etc :) The coffee is nice and the slices of cake are absolutely huge! The only reason I give 3 stars for service is because the server clearly did not want to give us the little biscuit that comes with the coffee as they were next to her but we had to ask for them. Other than that, I would definitely visit here again.

Everything is mostly poor quality. The food was mostly previously cooked and just reheated. The sausages were very poor quality. The victoria sponge cake must have been sitting in their fridge for a week. It had a 'fridge smell' and was very stale. Won't be coming back. The owner should pay attention to the quality of the food. He seems to be more interested in his huge ugly truck parked in front of the place.
