Went here on a break from gardening, won't return as the prices are a bit steep compared to other places we've been. Sausage cobs were nice, but we ordered 2 hot chocolates with cream and flake and for the price we expected it to be a larger mug as other cafes that we've had the same drink in serve a decent sized mug for the price this was but it came in a small mug and unfortunately when the drinks came to our table only 1 had cream and a tiny amount of crumbled flake bits, it was explained there was only enough cream for 1 of our drinks, in which case I'd of appreciated being informed of this before my drink was made so I could order a tea instead, I was told he would come over with the refund in the price difference which was 70p, however he didn't come back with the refund so I went to the counter when we'd finished and had to stand and wait whilst he took an order to a table, he returned then did something else then took something to the kitchen, I thought I'd be there another half hr by then ! When he finally came back he picked up his food order pad and pen and proceeded to ask if I was ready to order ! I reminded him about my refund and he went to the till and returned with 25p , It's clear this guy can't do simple maths as the large board was behind him with the prices nice and clear yet he worked out I was owed 25p not 70p. I told him he was wrong and he turned and stared at the board again I then told him it's a 70p difference before he made another mistake. He then gave me another 50p because he can't add up so had now given me 75p so being honest I gave him the 5p back and left. Seriously if staff that are working with customers face to face can't inform them something isn't as expected with their order and can't do simple maths then maybe they should try a different job.

The food at this restaurant is good, and the lady running it is friendly. However, the service was extremely slow. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty when we arrived, it took over 40 minutes to receive our breakfast. With only one staff member handling everything—both serving and cooking—it's clear that the place is severely understaffed. While the food is nice, be prepared for a long wait, and don't plan on being anywhere soon after your visit.

The Wheatsheaf is a hidden gem! Their Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. We followed up with a delightful dessert to round out the perfect meal. We took part in a 5-mile hike around the lovely countryside that surrounds Langham afterwards to walk it all off! If you're looking for a fantastic Sunday Lunch, I highly recommend giving The Wheatsheaf a try. You won't be disappointed! The beer selection and quality on the day we visited (real ales) were OK to good, middle rating there, but I wasn't there for a session, so that didn't detract. The seating layout is not as cosy as it could be, but the staff were very accommodating when we called in for a beer after the walk, allowing us to sit in the dining area. All round highly recommended
