Fantastic family pub. Jean the landlady is extremely welcoming, and friendly. Always a happy relaxed atmosphere! The food is fabulous, alway hot and quick!

We had tea in a large tea pot so got a couple of cups of tea each then had Brie bacon ciabatta 10/10 came with crisps and salad cook beautifully staff were very friendly and polite toilets were very clean service was great will definitely be returning

First time visiting for lunch on Thursday with a friend. Very pretty little cafe. Very lovely and friendly staff. Food was Devine. And the cakes ……💕💕 Can’t wait to revisit.

A lovely 'living room' feel created, and the promise of 'food nights' sounds good

I drive past this place most days and the queues are always huge. Today we decided to stop here to grab something to eat. I choose the New York Deli sandwich and that sandwich is the reason for this review. I have to say that it truly was the best sandwich I have ever had. The queue is huge but the staff are friendly and the food is amazing. If you are in Market Harborough and need something to eat, give this place a go. You will not regret it.

Been this afternoon for a cream tea for two, plenty to eat, scones and cakes all homemade, with great service by all staff. Highly recommend. Will return again. Five star.

Went to the Old Bakehouse for the first time today and was very disappointed. Although there were only a few customers the waitress spent most of her time going to the kitchen and was slow bringing orders. I asked for lightly cooked bacon, but was severed overcooked and dry bacon that looked like it had been left a while on the hotplate. I won't be going for a repeat visit!

A friendly, small cafe plus gift shop. Gorgeous cheese scones! Friendly staff, quick service. Great smelling breakfast and good looking cakes.

Staying on the attached campsite and heard good things about the half moon so booked a Sunday lunch for 4. Our guests had informed us they would be a little late. I informed John (The land lord) and whilst they were very busy he told us it wouldn't be a problem. Guests arrived and we had 4 lovely Sunday lunches,good portions and the cauliflower cheese was excellent.

I honestly don't know why I keep giving this place a second chance. Guess I'm hoping for a change for the better but it never happens. Firstly they are very slow, I'm usually waiting 20 minutes for my food even when they have just a few customers. I've often been overlooked and have even waited a fair amount of time just to receive the menu. The food although not terrible is not great, They seem to be overly obsessed with their Jesters comedy theme, than what should really be of importance. Prices are high and don't match any expectations. I keep going back I really shouldn't they don't deserve my custom.

Went for breakfast, had Cajun steak Big Bouy food was awesome as always, owners and staff really friendly and attentive, can’t fault definitely recommend.

Really warm Yorkshire welcome here. Super strong tea ☕️ don’t have to ask for extra tea bags here. We were travelling through. Saw on tripadvisor. Proper English cafe experience….
