Perfect! We went twice in one day it was so lovely. We had coffee and cakes in the morning. The chai latte and brownie are amazing. We then had lunch. Great food at great prices. Excellent vegan and veggie choices. Dog and child friendly. Staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

I had a joint 21st/18th birthday party at the Pug and Pudding at the weekend. Was full with my family, and the atmosphere inside was wonderful with the layout and the addition of birthday signs. The the staff were so accommodating and lovely to everyone. The staff worked so hard to serve drinks all night long and were very attentive. The chefs created a large buffet of a wonderful range of food (pictured) which was complimented by everyone throughout the night. They even catered for dietary requirements, with separate table for vegan food, with no nuts and also served a special plate of food for a guest who is coeliac and felt very included. A brownie stack was created by Donna as a birthday ‘cake’ which was devoured and enjoyed by everyone there. I want to say a huge thank you to the staff at the pug and pudding for catering, serving and welcoming that many guests and making it such a special night for me, my sister and our guests. Make sure to book in to eat or book out for events like this, unforgettable night.

This is a lovely quaint cafe. But it's more than that. Great barista, cakes to die for but also straight forward dishes. The Asian wrap was fantastic.

My son and I were looking for a snack to take out for our onward trip. Very friendly and polite staff and a great panini, fresh and delicious, full of ingredients. A lovely treat. Highly recommended.

A lovely decorative cafe with welcoming staff selling a variety of breakfasts and lunches. It also had a festive menu. Dishes included Masala fries, buddha bowls and chicken strips

I went into the Pug and Pudding for lunch with my family. I was very impressed. All the food is home cooked on the premises, and you can tell. Well presented, hot, tasty food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Interior is beautiful. I had a coffee and it was really lovely. I can honestly say the puddings, especially the cheesecakes are absolutely awesome. My friend can be a bit picky sometimes, but she agreed that everything was so tasty and well worth going back for. My picky friend has been back numerous times now and is now a regular visit for her. Highly recommend.

Took advantage of the amazing Sunday Special - homemade pie and mash for £12. I had the chicken and ham, my partner had the steak. Both pies were lovely accompanied by creamy mash - a total bargain. Definitely recommend - we’ll be back.

Discovered this gem when we couldn't park up in Castleton and I am so glad. Lovely setting with friendly staff. Great selection of food on the menu, it was a struggle to choose. Definitely need to go back for a rice bowl, burrito and cake. Should have got cake to take away!

We came here today for brunch- the food was lovely, but as we were sat next to the kitchen we could see everything going on in there. We observed a staff member knocking somebody’s meal off the side in the kitchen as she was about to serve it to a table. The fillings went all over the floor & splattered up the sides of the cupboards. We initially felt sorry for her…. Until she started scraping the food off the floor & smushing the filling into a new bun, to serve to the customer. One member of staff stood in the door way (I think in an attempt to conceal what they were doing), but we could still see what was happening, and hear comments like “I think table 8 (us) saw he dropping it, but I think we’ll get away with it”. The older female that had been cooking the food was assisting the younger female with slopping the coleslaw back into the new bun, and they both had their hands inside the filling, trying to mould it back in to shape. Only when my husband said to them “You can’t serve that!” did they stop, and discard the food. This is disgusting in itself, but the food had been dropped on the floor between the kitchen and the outside dog-friendly seating & grass area, so would probably have bits of grit & dog 💩 in it, along with whatever else had been walked in from outside. We will not be coming here again, and will be warning others not to either. It’s a shame because until then our experience had been lovely, and the food had been great. If you do chose to eat here, we recommend sitting at table 8 so you can see exactly what is going on in the kitchen while your food is being made.

This is a gorgeous little shop with the most delicious coffee. It is small but very cosy and spotlessly clean. Coffees were really nice and the almond croissant was so tasty. Lovely friendly staff

Great community run cafe, serving a range of food and drink. The food was fresh, but you do have to be prepared to wait for a while as they are often a bit short of staff.

Sadly, this lovely little store and coffee shop has re-located to Glossop. I'm sure it will be missed.

Nine of us went for a St Patrick’s day lunch except there wasn’t a nod to Ireland on the menu. It was £12.50 per head with a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 puddings. We we’re expecting something
