Half Moon Inn in West Lindsey

We stayed at Ashleigh Farm next door, for the weekend so had a couple of drinks while sat out catching the last few September rays. The food smelt amazing so booked for Sunday lunch. Amazing lunch, hot, plentyful and well presented. Great staff who were friendly and very welcoming. Would definately recommend and will return.

Popped in for a couple of drinks today .Doreena, and Kevin who was behind the bar where lovely, Doreena was on her day off but she was lovely, very chatty and friendly. Gave us lots of information on where to go and walks around the area .Will be back .So nice to be made to feel welcome in a village pub .The dogs enjoyed the treats she gave them .

We had Sunday lunch today at the Half Moon pub and it was outstanding. Gavin, the owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Absolute brilliant pub. Food - amazing, atmosphere - amazing and service -amazing. The minute you walk in you felt welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble. The owner and staff were very friendly. Once again a fantastic welcome from Gav', followed by our order being taking by a lovely young man, then onto a great, well cooked, beautifully presented Sunday lunch. We have been to other places for Sunday lunch within a 20 mile radius but keep returning to The Half Moon Inn because it's everything you want from a bar/restaurant. What an absolute gem, I wish I lived closer!!

Third visit to the wonderful Half Moon. I enjoyed Fish n Chips. (Fish was first class and fresh with a batter which Harry Ramsden would have been proud of. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Chicken Tikka with rice. Gavin was welcoming and once again cheerfully serving excellent beer. Thursday night is quiz night, definitely recommended. Five stars for food, beer and atmosphere.

I absolutely love this pub and wish it was closer to my house! Incredible food at great prices and a nice variety. Staff are always super welcoming and friendly. There's always a smile and hello as soon as you walk in the door. They're really accommodating and will always try their best to give you what you want. Lovely open fire and log burner to keep the winter chill off. Couldn't ask for more from a pub to be honest Try out the quiz on a Thursday if you love a good laugh and fancy winning a prize, or bag if crisps, depending on whether you win or lose The photo shows a meal where I asked for the majority of the chips to be replaced with a salad FYI

If more pubs were like this around the UK you would have more community public houses. From entering the pub' until leaving the atmosphere is fantastic from the welcoming manager Gav' to his staff. Going on to the food which is fantastic, well cooked and presented and affordable. This pub deserves to win numerous accolades and awards.

Once again a fantatsic meal which didn't disappoint. We have visited previously and have to say the welcome is second to none and a lot of places could learn from the manager. Food was well cooked, beautifully presented and more than enough (we all had the Sunday roast). Waiting staff were great, lovely ambience and the locals made you feel included rather than intruders, would I recommend, in a heartbeat!!!

Visited the Half Moon Inn whilst staying at the wonderful Ashleigh Farm CL site ( next door). Five stars for atmosphere, food and drinks menu, warm and friendly staff and locals. Really made us feel welcome and treated us like we were locals. Young man by the name of Harry working as waiter and barman ( yes barman, not bar person), cheerful and clearly enjoying his work. Have to mention Tim and Amanda, excellent company. Definitely in the top ten village inns. Highly recommend the fish and chips. Excellent hand pulled beer. I’d like to have this pub in the village I live in. We will be back! Graham & Penny.

Went on Friday for a family birthday two of the party live in the village and as parents have been in a couple of times for a drink they go in regularly and always say how nice it is so we all decided to try it all I can say is wow what a birthday treat it was I had the gammon and all I can say is it was a slab cooked to perfection so moist and tender others of the group had the fish and all were so impressed with the size and taste beer /cider/wine all wonderful and the gent behind the bar (gav) couldn’t do enough to make us all feel like we were all regulars we will all be making a return visit a perfect meal out with family

Last time we came for a drink, we returned today and had a fantastic lunch. Once again greeted by a friendly manager (a lot of pubs could learn from this welcome). We chose the seafood platter for two and weren't disappointed, well cooked and presented and tasted really good. Definitely value for money and we will be back to try other items on this great menu.

Our first time into The Half Moon and we were greeted by a lovely friendly landlord, a traditional pub and an open fire (everything we could wish for). We just had a drink each but will definitely return to try out the menu. Looking at the reviews on Trip Advisor we would be mad not to.

We have been several times and the food and service has been FIRST CLASS! We live close to Lincoln and have visited most of the eating places within a 20 mile radius. This is by far the best. The welcome is warm and friendly just like pubs used to be. We can highly recommend without any reservation.

Lovely busy pub, fantastic steak pie and Seafood platter and chips were great, too full for a pudding but they did look good. Look forward to going again.

Excellent food and value for money. We pre-ordered and the food arrived promptly and was nicely served and well presented. The prawn starter was very tasty and the steak pie was delicious with really nice chips. Very pleasant waiters.

My sister has just moved to willingham by stow. We decided to have lunch at The Half Moon Inn.Although a relatively small pub, it made up for in atmosphere, good food, and excellent customer service. The food was hot, nicely presented and very delicious. I would definately reccommend this Inn to anyone looking for homely pub grub at a reasonable price and friendly staff.

Nice country village pub food is pretty good friendly staff and atmosphere. Only a small place so gets cramped when busy. Decent choice of beers and cider. Better than one of the other pubs in the are a recommend.
