Little Gem of a place... Small village pub with great outside space. Plenty of private parking. Dog friendly pub with a designated room inside if the weather's not the best. It was very quiet when we went, but the staff were lovely and friendly and the food delicious and hot. . They had a Saturday special on when we visited ...I had a burger with all the trimming and a you had a choice of drinks included in the £13.99 charge... Definitely would go back there again.

Popped in by chance on Friday night and asked for a table. We were shown to a table and given menus. Chose starters whitebait and garlic mushrooms, a steak deal for mains and sticky toffee puddings for dessert. The food was lovely. Steaks served raw on a hot stone for us to cook ourselves. Really enjoyed it. I want to shout out to the young waitress and barman who were the only staff on duty apart from the kitchen. They must have been late teens or early twenties but what a delightful pair. Really looked after us. Not often you see such well drilled staff and polite attentive staff. They’re both a credit to their employers. Thanks guys, we can’t wait to come back

What a great all round experience. The food is delicious, locally sourced and seasonal. The staff are great. A beautiful setting - a real gem!!!! Can’t wait to return in the summer and sit in the beer garden- (and bring my dog)

Looked forward to the visit with the excellent reviews already being posted ? Booked the day before, limited menu but it is Sunday after all, Great service on arrival, shown to our table, the dining area could do with a spruce up, rustic springs to mind & very soon a drinks order taken, A few questions about the menu, vegetarian options are very limited with no room for manoeuvre, obviously pre made, frozen? Ordered 2 Sunday roasts & a fish & chips, Arrived very quickly, lukewarm but acceptable but vegetables , although very sparse & condiments were very slow to appear which was not acceptable, The Fish & chips arrived very late as the other two meals had already started eating due to the delay & upon inspection of the fish it was stone cold inside & raw, obviously frozen and reheated,returned to the kitchen, apologies given with the option of a replacement which we declined as we all planned to eat together!! A complimentary drink was offered, but declined, very disappointing all round. Would we return? Would we recommend to others ? We were looking forward to a lovely meal but left utterly deflated.

First visit here. Absolutely brilliant, loved the entire evening. Food is fab with a great choice of beers.

We stayed overnight in the campervan which cost me the price of a pint - with electric hook-up🙂 Unfortunately, we picked a night when the retaurant wasn't open. Hopefully popping back early November to check out the food. Great stop over with easy access to Scunthorpe & Gainsborough, and not that difficult for Lincoln.

Lovely Sunday lunch; beef was so tender and perfectly cooked. Super Yorkshire puddings too. Excellent service, friendly and welcoming staff. Nice atmosphere. Also liked the fact that even though pub is dog friendly, customers with dogs sit in the conservatory and not the dining room, which is perfect for those of us who are not so keen on eating with dogs around.

Popped in for a tea time drink , first time visiting First impressions, lovely design of an old fashioned pub. We decided to have a meal. I went for the South Korean Chicken - £15! - Chicken breast, korean sauce, chips spring onions and sesame seeds - sounds wonderful Partner went for the House burger - £14 When it arrived was surprised to see frozen chips!! oh no , not a very good cook - The chicken meal , there was hardly anything to it, three small pieces, like the breast had been cut in half , layered with volcanic hot sauce , with 2 slithers of spring onion and the sesame seeds just lost. With a side salad - no dressing, but tasted of gherkins ;( Over priced , very very basic pub food The House Burger was priced a pound less, with lots more to it. Puzzling.

Just got home after a lovely family meal. We couldn't recommend highly enough. Menu, service and food quality absolutely fantastic. We 100% will be back soon.

Visited on a Friday evening having called earlier in the day to book a dog friendly table for 7. We were seated in the conservatory which was warm and pleasant to talk as a family catching up. The service was fantastic by both young waiting staff who were professional and efficient showing maturity beyond their years. All meals were faultless, tasty and hot. My only improvement would be slightly larger portions, but we are big eaters! Several customers were enjoying the black rock steaks which create a lot of smoke so we were pleased to be in the conservatory. The main pub is very pretty with a great atmosphere so a return trip as a coupe is required. 5*, would absolutely recommend.

Such welcoming hosts serving beautiful food

We did a wreath making workshop with Gipsy Fleur at the pub on Saturday morning. It was such a lovely Christmassy experience from the start. On arrival we were served tea or coffee with a cookie whilst we chose our 2 course lunch for after the course. The course was really enjoyable with plenty of help if needed and a whole abundance of foliage and natural or Christmas decorations to add for the finishing touch. We came away with 5 unique beautiful wreaths. After the course we went back into the restaurant to be served our lunch. The scampi and chips were delicious and the ribs I’m told were awesome and cooked to perfection. These were enjoyed with an assortment of g and t’s. Pudding ,as usual, was the highlight- lemon Eaton mess packed with blackberries were delicious followed up with lattes. Excellent customer experience from Emma as per usual. Cookies were delicious Michelle!

What a pub!! We went as a party of 14, and the service and food was exceptional! Every person commented on how lovely their meals were, all 3 courses! The beef and ham on the Sunday dinners were melt in the mouth, and the homemade yorkshires, roasties and cauliflower cheese were beautiful. Fish and chips was lovely too. Kids meals were lovely and plentiful, with lots of choice. All of the starters which included garlic mushrooms, prawn cocktail, ribs and Camembert were delicious. The bread served with some of the starters and fish and chips was homemade and delicious. We were all stuffed and decided not to have a pudding, until we saw another table receive theirs! We had a variety of chocolate brownies, eton mess, apple crumble pie and kids ice creams, all superb! And well worth the extra calories! The service was fantastic, the staff clearly care about their customers. There was nothing but praise all round for every aspect of the meals. The beers and ales on offer are also great. So lucky to have a proper pub, with outstanding homemade food, attentive service, and real beers on our doorstep! Can’t wait for a return visit!

Called in this evening, we're tourists. We were really excited that after the mile and a half walk from our campsite we found a pub that was easily worth the walk. The Three Horseshoes was clean, well presented, and friendly. (Sorry, didn't mean to be patronising). An excellent pub. Excellent food and three excellent pints of Black Sheep.

Always liked this pub and the food, but today they served Sunday lunch on the smallest plate, I thought it was a starter!!! Just home and my wife and I are sat here eating a sandwich. Very disappointing and £40 lighter, over priced and totally poor portions. My wife is a diabetic and is now having to eat. I’m just left hungry. We ordered Lamb & Roast beef, initially the wrong meals were served. As for mentioning to staff, we did. Embarrassing the young girl just smiled and walked away with the empty plates

We went to a christening and had a buffet lunch after at three horseshoes the service and the food was excellent fresh and top quality.

We have just visited and had an excellent time. The bitters were really well looked after. A large rack of ribs is large! The meat was well cooked and feel off. The stone cooked sirloin steaks were first class and very tasty. Admittedly some steaks were not cheap but you not have to order a rib eye steak! Finally the pub is dog friendly and we shall return.

Absolutely great pub... lovely location, lovely facilities and the food was great. Also, thanks for organising HorseshoeFest... what a day! Brilliant vibe... hope to come back next year.

Such a shame they've stopped doing their fab pies. Now they have a menu ( cos we thought we'd give it a try anyway despite the no pie situation!) It's got a menu now that is trying to be too fancy. Expensive. Hope you're not veggie . Portion sizes were all over the place. We left having loved food at that pub for years and years saying we're not going there again. Very disappointing 😞

We visited this pub for a birthday celebration. The owner and her staff literally went out of their way to ensure we all were catered for... a hard task when your customers include two coeliacs and a vegan! The food was fresh, superb, quickly served and our waitress regularly came to check everything was fine. An absolute gem which I highly recommend to potential visitors. THANK YOU very much to everyone, you made this celebration even more one to remember.

Great hot rocks steaks again !!

Service was quick, waiting staff are lovely. The problem was the children’s pizza dough was raw - did not notice until they had finished and we tried some of their food, and the fish (from adults fish and chips) tasted of cheese - when we mentioned it to the older lady clearing plates her response was “well is shouldn’t taste like that.” We did have three other meals that were nice, just a shame it’s not consistent. Will only return for drinks.

The food was awful, the fish tasted off, the chips were over cooked and the chicken dish was swimming in oil. We both felt ill after this meal.

My wife and I started walking here during the winter to pick up sausage rolls as a treat - and what a treat! Lovely friendly place, and delicious food. Now we are allowed to eat out again, we visited with our daughter on a sunny Saturday lunchtime. My wife and daughter shared a pizza and salad, while I had the house burger. The salad was lovely and fresh with a delicious dressing. The stone fired pizza was really nice, although perhaps a little more BBQ sauce wouldn't go amiss? The burger was divine. I assume it was a home-made bun, with the most delicious onion sauce/chutney and a lovely thick burger.....and the chips....oh boy, the chips..... We will definitely be coming back. The service, the staff, the food - the beer! Everything was spot on.

Very smart wooden shelter's have been built to replace gazebo's so drinking outdoors with friends was a real pleasure & the beer was excellent, highly recommended.

Warm welcome, full covid regulations followed, reasonably quick service ( for freshly cooked meals, relaxing rural atmosphere and excellent food . Lovely food. So full after lunch we took home a dessert .

Our visit to the 3 horseshoes was not what we expected. The staff although pleasant had no masks for visors. The food left a lot to be desired. One of our party tripped over the step going out. A customer came to see if he could help, the staff were nowhere to be seen. Social distancing there had gone out the window. We won't go again and will not recommend it to anyone. Anon

Great little pub and some quality food. Despite being a small pub the tables were very well spaced to give suitable social distancing. The food portions were of good size and quality and with the use of the 'Blackrock' it was possible to cook the steak to exactly to ones preference. The service was very good and I would recommend and return myself in the future.

Came here for the first time in over 20 years tonight, had a black rock rib eye steak which is a novel idea and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the steak was tender and tasty. Everyone at the table also enjoyed their meal. Nice beer too. Would happily return.
