We only managed to try out the cafe a few days before it closed. It was amazing. If there is any chance of saving the cafe or resurrecting it, then I really hope the owners do.

Girl that met us, when we arrived and asked for a table was a little off hand, The young man who took our order was lovely and couldn't have been more polight, it's just a shame when we went to pay the bill, the same girl added 3 more drinks to our bill and tried to blame the nice young man. 3 stars because 1 for her and 5 for him

Perfect outside area for a lovely sunny lunch. The welcome from all staff and manager is always cheery and friendly with great food, cakes are amazing.

We called in for lunch ( brunch) today .it was our first visit in the daytime and didn’t quite know what to expect, we were very pleasantly impressed. We sat outside as we had a little dog with us who promptly got a treat brought to her ! The service was excellent as was the food . There was a varied selection of dishes . We can highly recommend The Three Horseshoes . We will be back for the delicious looking cakes and coffee . Thank you

We had a celebration of my wife's life after her funeral. We had been several times before for meals (excellent). Many thanks to Emma and the team for the excellent buffet spread they arranged. I'll be calling in soon for a Black Rock meal, can't fault them.

I can’t praise it highly enough. A real gem. Great menu, food was outstanding, proper beer beautifully kept and friendly welcoming people. It was the highlight of a rainy day. We were there for lunch and we were all delighted. A real treat.

Took the family for a birthday meal they all had ham Sunday lunch average I had the pork no taste and very dry All the meals were cold Very poor pint guineas told it was draught tasted like a can that was out of date

Little Gem of a place... Small village pub with great outside space. Plenty of private parking. Dog friendly pub with a designated room inside if the weather's not the best. It was very quiet when we went, but the staff were lovely and friendly and the food delicious and hot. . They had a Saturday special on when we visited ...I had a burger with all the trimming and a you had a choice of drinks included in the £13.99 charge... Definitely would go back there again.

Popped in by chance on Friday night and asked for a table. We were shown to a table and given menus. Chose starters whitebait and garlic mushrooms, a steak deal for mains and sticky toffee puddings for dessert. The food was lovely. Steaks served raw on a hot stone for us to cook ourselves. Really enjoyed it. I want to shout out to the young waitress and barman who were the only staff on duty apart from the kitchen. They must have been late teens or early twenties but what a delightful pair. Really looked after us. Not often you see such well drilled staff and polite attentive staff. They’re both a credit to their employers. Thanks guys, we can’t wait to come back

What a great all round experience. The food is delicious, locally sourced and seasonal. The staff are great. A beautiful setting - a real gem!!!! Can’t wait to return in the summer and sit in the beer garden- (and bring my dog)

Looked forward to the visit with the excellent reviews already being posted ? Booked the day before, limited menu but it is Sunday after all, Great service on arrival, shown to our table, the dining area could do with a spruce up, rustic springs to mind & very soon a drinks order taken, A few questions about the menu, vegetarian options are very limited with no room for manoeuvre, obviously pre made, frozen? Ordered 2 Sunday roasts & a fish & chips, Arrived very quickly, lukewarm but acceptable but vegetables , although very sparse & condiments were very slow to appear which was not acceptable, The Fish & chips arrived very late as the other two meals had already started eating due to the delay & upon inspection of the fish it was stone cold inside & raw, obviously frozen and reheated,returned to the kitchen, apologies given with the option of a replacement which we declined as we all planned to eat together!! A complimentary drink was offered, but declined, very disappointing all round. Would we return? Would we recommend to others ? We were looking forward to a lovely meal but left utterly deflated.

First visit here. Absolutely brilliant, loved the entire evening. Food is fab with a great choice of beers.

We stayed overnight in the campervan which cost me the price of a pint - with electric hook-up🙂 Unfortunately, we picked a night when the retaurant wasn't open. Hopefully popping back early November to check out the food. Great stop over with easy access to Scunthorpe & Gainsborough, and not that difficult for Lincoln.

Lovely Sunday lunch; beef was so tender and perfectly cooked. Super Yorkshire puddings too. Excellent service, friendly and welcoming staff. Nice atmosphere. Also liked the fact that even though pub is dog friendly, customers with dogs sit in the conservatory and not the dining room, which is perfect for those of us who are not so keen on eating with dogs around.

Popped in for a tea time drink , first time visiting First impressions, lovely design of an old fashioned pub. We decided to have a meal. I went for the South Korean Chicken - £15! - Chicken breast, korean sauce, chips spring onions and sesame seeds - sounds wonderful Partner went for the House burger - £14 When it arrived was surprised to see frozen chips!! oh no , not a very good cook - The chicken meal , there was hardly anything to it, three small pieces, like the breast had been cut in half , layered with volcanic hot sauce , with 2 slithers of spring onion and the sesame seeds just lost. With a side salad - no dressing, but tasted of gherkins ;( Over priced , very very basic pub food The House Burger was priced a pound less, with lots more to it. Puzzling.

Just got home after a lovely family meal. We couldn't recommend highly enough. Menu, service and food quality absolutely fantastic. We 100% will be back soon.

Such a lovely pub. A proper country pub like you'd find in the Dales. Staff are excellent and Josh the waiter very funny and likes his attention to detail. Even the pub dog looks happy 🐶🐾

Called in this evening, we're tourists. We were really excited that after the mile and a half walk from our campsite we found a pub that was easily worth the walk. The Three Horseshoes was clean, well presented, and friendly. (Sorry, didn't mean to be patronising). An excellent pub. Excellent food and three excellent pints of Black Sheep.

Always liked this pub and the food, but today they served Sunday lunch on the smallest plate, I thought it was a starter!!! Just home and my wife and I are sat here eating a sandwich. Very disappointing and £40 lighter, over priced and totally poor portions. My wife is a diabetic and is now having to eat. I’m just left hungry. We ordered Lamb & Roast beef, initially the wrong meals were served. As for mentioning to staff, we did. Embarrassing the young girl just smiled and walked away with the empty plates

We went to a christening and had a buffet lunch after at three horseshoes the service and the food was excellent fresh and top quality.

We have just visited and had an excellent time. The bitters were really well looked after. A large rack of ribs is large! The meat was well cooked and feel off. The stone cooked sirloin steaks were first class and very tasty. Admittedly some steaks were not cheap but you not have to order a rib eye steak! Finally the pub is dog friendly and we shall return.

Absolutely great pub... lovely location, lovely facilities and the food was great. Also, thanks for organising HorseshoeFest... what a day! Brilliant vibe... hope to come back next year.

Enjoyed a steak served on a hot stone. Lovely meal, served with chips and salad. No option to swap vegetables for salad.

Such a shame they've stopped doing their fab pies. Now they have a menu ( cos we thought we'd give it a try anyway despite the no pie situation!) It's got a menu now that is trying to be too fancy. Expensive. Hope you're not veggie . Portion sizes were all over the place. We left having loved food at that pub for years and years saying we're not going there again. Very disappointing 😞

Really great staff, very helpful and attentive. We have been a few times for Sunday dinner and the food is first class every time. I highly recommend to anyone! They cater for gluten-free as well!

My wife and I started walking here during the winter to pick up sausage rolls as a treat - and what a treat! Lovely friendly place, and delicious food. Now we are allowed to eat out again, we visited with our daughter on a sunny Saturday lunchtime. My wife and daughter shared a pizza and salad, while I had the house burger. The salad was lovely and fresh with a delicious dressing. The stone fired pizza was really nice, although perhaps a little more BBQ sauce wouldn't go amiss? The burger was divine. I assume it was a home-made bun, with the most delicious onion sauce/chutney and a lovely thick burger.....and the chips....oh boy, the chips..... We will definitely be coming back. The service, the staff, the food - the beer! Everything was spot on.

Very smart wooden shelter's have been built to replace gazebo's so drinking outdoors with friends was a real pleasure & the beer was excellent, highly recommended.

Great little pub and some quality food. Despite being a small pub the tables were very well spaced to give suitable social distancing. The food portions were of good size and quality and with the use of the 'Blackrock' it was possible to cook the steak to exactly to ones preference. The service was very good and I would recommend and return myself in the future.

Came here for the first time in over 20 years tonight, had a black rock rib eye steak which is a novel idea and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the steak was tender and tasty. Everyone at the table also enjoyed their meal. Nice beer too. Would happily return.

We went here for 6pm, brilliant food, all home cooked. Staff could not do enough! It was pie night tonight but you could still order off the menu. Will be returning again.

The Black Rock steak was high quality along with delicious roast veg. All staff and also customers friendly. Definitely a return visit planned with friends to soak up more good food and ambiance.
