First visit today. Great service. Quiche salad very tasty and generous plate. 2 pots of tea and a huge slab of coffee and walnut cake change from £20. Lovely table in the garden which was pleasant and shaded in the high heat of today. Lovely place for a 2.5 hr catch up with friends. Will return.

Poor and unfriendly service. We arrived this afternoon, we said hello and asked for a table, but there was no warm or friendly grating returned. We were shown to a table and handed menus and that was it. 14 minutes later as we were walking out the serving girl was stood there, not even a goodbye ha ha ha. No, we shan't ever return and will warn our friends and family about this place. Sad as it a place we've wanted to visit for ages lol. Never mind 🙁

The high tea is ok. I like the scone and brownies. It is under staff for sure. I saw the waitress was rushing and under pressure. It damaged the atmosphere as I was looking for a relaxing meal. Besides, we had four adults and the cafe gave us a tiny table. We found it even more uncomfortable. On the contrary, two ladies were sitting on a larger table than us.

Great little tearoom! Today we had my mother-in-law's 70th Birthday at The Vintage Tearooms. We had the room upstairs all to ourselves, which was a perfect size for the 15 of us. We had a mixture of children and adults and the tearoom catered for both, giving us sandwiches, cakes and scones that the children would like and then some different ones that the adults would like. They gave us everything we requested including decaf tea for the children. The room was decorated very traditionally and felt like you could be in a different age. I would recommend wearing light clothing in the sunny weather as it was a little warm and the sun was lovely and bright through the open windows. The food was delicious! We have a selection of sandwiches, plain and current scones, cakes, tea and coffee. I'd highly recommend this afternoon tea experience as the staff made it very special for us.

We spend our summers in the beautiful village of Tealby and the Vintage Tea Room is one of our favorite places. We both love a traditional afternoon tea and have experienced tea from 5 star London properties to venues in the Cotswolds and Yorkshire. The variety and quality of the sandwiches, scones and cakes at the Vintage Tea Room is superb. Tealby is lucky to have such an inviting tea room.

Unfortunately, on this occasion, very disappointing. We sat in the tearoom with no heating/radiator behind us not on. It was 1 degree outside and we was all frozen and sat there with our coats on. Totally dampened the spirit of our Christmas NHS treat out. Fully aware there is an energy crisis. Therefore should have been informed that no heating would be on and if we still wished to attend.

My husband and children booked a surprise 60th birthday party for me on Saturday 3rd December and it was simply perfect. Jennie couldn't have been more helpful. A gorgeous afternoon tea, plentiful tea, coffee etc... and nothing was too much trouble. The children even had their very own version of our afternoon tea. The bakewell tart was simply mouthwatering and the sausage rolls probably the best I have ever tasted. The addition of a variety of berries was an especially niice touch. Undoubtedly this was the best presented cream tea I’ve experienced ( and that’s a lot 😂) . As for the scones they were light and really tasty, with clotted cream and proper strawberry jam and the finishing touch were fresh sliced strawberries, blackberry and blueberry. Attention to detail made this the best to date . Friendly staff and a nice environment means we’ll ( hopefully) be back . A gem of a place in a village well worth a visit.

Visited the tearoom in Tealby over the Easter weekend after discovering it a few days earlier. Managed to park close by which was a bonus as it's a busy place. The tearoom is quaint and quirky with well spaced tables front back and upstairs which also houses the toilets. We all chose full breakfast with tea and coffee. No complaints about either and the toast with butter was a nice bonus... however would have preferred it served at the beginning of breakfast ..rather than the end. The gentleman and lady staff member were both friendly and polite ...and busy! However there was a child with a cardigan hanging off her and a young girl helping out who neither spoke not smiled...even at a young age change of career required..don't think hospitality is your bag. Very enjoyable breakfast and would return and recommend.

Visited the vintage tearooms today with my friend. My friend booked the table for both of us, the staff where polite, the tea room itself was very pretty. They had plenty of seating, when we arrived today we had our details taken, then we where directed to our table. The table was dressed ready and the plates where on the stand, after we sat for a few moments the lady came to ask us what drinks we would like and explained we would get both hot and cold drinks of our choice from the menu, we both chose tea and j2o, the lady asked if we had any dietary requirements or allergies then the lady took our plates. The drinks where brought to our table and not long after our plates was brought back full. There was a great selection of tasty sandwiches, cheese, tuna cucumber, ham, and egg, plus quiche and a little garnish of salad. Next there where 3 cakes each, red velvet cupcake, chocolate eclaire, battenberg. Then underneath was the scone jam and cream. All the food was delicious the chocolate eclair was the best I have ever tasted. I would definitely return as the food was delicious. The food left you feeling full but not overfull it was very light. The deluxe tea is £18.00 pp.
