I have been here more than a couple of times now and tried more that one thing from the menu but mostly breakfast. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food ingredients used are top quality and cooked to perfection every time. Its not a wonder the place is busy. Also value for money. Can’t wait to try there roast dinner. Great job guys 🤗

Fantastic and friendly service, really good home style menu and a well situated venue. We had the roast dinner on a Sunday followed up by some excellent desserts. Even the milkshakes had actual chocolate bars within.

Have visited jesters for my daily coffee and breakfast . Food is always decent and staff are always welcoming . Offer a takeaway service as well as a decent Sunday dinner of which you can book a table in advance . The same goes for if a table is needed in the week.

My husband had a jacket potato, which was OK. I went for a ham sandwich on brown bread which was stale. There's no excuse for serving stale bread!!

Had two full English breakfasts delivered for my wife and I this morning and they were just fantastic. Good quality, good price, and excellent delivery service. Highly recommend.

I go Jesters a lot to eat in and to take away.staff are so friendly and willing to help and cater for your Needs.I was so thankful for there delivery service through lock down (when resterants reopened) as my son would only eat from there on treat days and I must say there food arrived hot and tasty as if they had just brought it to my table. Food is amazing (and iv nearly had everything now from the menu) and at reasonable cost too. If you live in Raunds or just pasting through I highly recommend a stop off at Jesters with family, children or with Friends. you will not be disappointed and I'm sure you will return.

The food is fine, I had an English breakfast which was cooked well. I tried to swap an item for something else but was told I couldn't as a previous customer had tried to swap everything out for sausages. I found this a little less than accomadating, especially as I was not trying to surreptitiously increase the value of my plate. The food arrived quickly and the portion size was ok. There are other local cafes that are better value for money.I find the tables very close together which I find gives a cramped in feeling. The busy decor is fitting with the Jesters theme of comedy.Having read the slating responses from previous reviewers that had anything less than complementary things to say, I fear the response this will get from the owner, however this is an honest review.

This was a good find, we were looking for somewhere for breakfast for a group of eight. No problem we were told. Excellent food, cooked to order and really friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit and interesting decor.

Not only was the food good and the service good, the whole place is a memorial to British comedians (Jesters!) with lots of portraits and plots from film and television. When did you last see "The Plank"? You cannot leave without laughing and if you want to chat with the staff, well you can have that, too!

We go on a Friday morning when the children are at school, the breakfast are absolutely lovely all freshly cooked and the staff are all very pleasant.

Sat outside in the sunshine. Glorious. Staff very friendly and helpful, food very tasty. Comfy indoor seating available too.

Jesters provided a very good ploughmans lunch of cheese, ham, salad, crusty french stick, onion chutney and pickled onions. The service was a little delayed, but there were 11 of us after all, so to be expected if we were all to be served at once. The waitress was lovely and made sure everything was correct, an unenviable task when everyone wanted different dishes. The fact that all the tables were taken by 12 is a testament to how popular the bistro is.

I love this place , been on many occasions and never disappointed with the food staff and all the great features in there, my favourite place . It is just tucked away off the high st but once seen never forgot.

Yesterday we came as a group of seven for our monthly meet up. The food arrived promptly after ordering and it was hot, well presented and delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was slightly disappointed with the selection of cake which would normally have been my choice but it was after a Bank Holiday. This left me to choose a breakfast which I certainly wasn't disappointed with my choice! Well done everyone, keep it up!

Our group of ladies met here for our monthly get together. This is a popular, clean and very friendly place, with a relaxed atmosphere. A good variety of dishes are on offer, but I opted for the large full english, including tea, and was far from disappointed. The food was piping hot and looked good on the plate. The breakfast comprised egg, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, 2 hash brown, mushrooms, toast and plum tomatoes. A tall order, but I almost cleared the plate.

Fabulous midweek breakfast, cooked to perfection and served on hot plates by friendly efficient staff. The place is very clean and well organised, with lots of ditties to read and peruse whilst you dine. Love the new "Only Fools and Horses" Chandelier.

I visited with my family, and originally thought we were just having a coffee break. However after ordering drinks we then ordered meals.

Met friends there for the 1st time as we live far apart and this bistro is half way for each of us. I was a little apprehensive when we pulled up as it looked a bit like an American cafe outside. Once in, we had a warm welcome by the staff. The food was good and reasonably priced. Limited wine menu, but I think it’s a relaxed venue and would be happy to return.

It's called Jesters because it's full pictures of comedians and quotes from over the wall which is fun. The Jester breakfast is just AMAZING if your a big breakfast fan don't miss this. Its worth a trip don't miss it.

20 of us celebrated 12th night (well late afternoon). Enjoyed the buffet which included good vegetarian selection, all labelled on different plates. Plenty of food including cakes, coffee, tea or something stronger. Friendly efficient staff.

My sister was lying me a visit, so I took her out to lunch. I had baked potato with prawns and mari-rose sauce. The sauce was so vinegary it was bordering on inedible. My sister had beans with were dehydrated and stodgy. Not exactly a showcase for our local eateries.

We chose Jesters having read the reviews and needing a convenient location to meet up. Parking is on the street but we didn’t struggle to find a space reasonably close.

Lovely little place and friendly... have visited a few times now for either breakfast, lunch or a coffee. Reasonably priced food and a nice variety on the menu.

Wow for under £7 you can have a full English, with coffee & toast. Interesting surroundings now as I remember the rooms in their original use- doctors surgery! The comedy theme is well supported by excellent photos of comedians across the ages. Well worth a visit for any meal.

My wife and I called in for breakfast and we both ordered the Full English. The first thing we noticed when our breakfast was delivered was the sheer quantity of food on the plate. The quality of the food was also impressive, it was well presented and piping hot. The staff are friendly and efficient. If you are in Raunds I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast.

Food was good and reasonably priced, with friendly staff. The surroundings were amazing, its all about comedy, with pictures from past and present.

Go there twice a month for a Saturday breakfast, food is what you expect when you order a full English. My teenage son always finishes his breakfast too

The food and staff cannot be faulted. Prices are more than reasonable and service is excellent. Clean and comfortable and probably the best bistro I have been in and certainly the best locally. I would recommend it to anyone for lunch, business lunch or just a short sit and snack. They have canopied tables and chairs outside set back from the main road enough to be healthy and sedate. The food is obviously the best, and staff are always willing to adjust recipes to taste as required. The ideal lunchtime venue if ever there was one.

Found it a little dear for what you got. Found the food on but nothing to write home about. Tables all close together so you don't feel very relaxed in there. All could be better.

As usual, I had checked out other reviews before trying this local eaterie and based on my findings, expectations were high. It’s a great place with friendly service. We called in shortly after 09:00 and ordered two standard Jesters breakfast. The breakfasts were served promptly and were of a high standard and magnificent proportions. Is there really anyone capable of demolishing the larger Joker’s breakfast? I very much doubt it.

My girlfriend and I came here one Sunday morning for breakfast. The food was great quality, the service was friendly and the setting was unique. I went for the jokers breakfast which was 9pound and o thought I had entered the man vs food challenge. All I can say is wow. It was so good I cleaned the plate as not to let any of this yummy food go to waste. The sausages were huge and top quality. The same can be said for the normal size breakfast. I am really looking forward to trying the dinner menu and attacking the faulty towers the staff talked about. Great place. So glad it's only 2minutes from my house :)

My car was in for its MOT and the garage recommended Jesters for breakfast whilst I waited. I was not disappointed. The staff are very friendly, the place itself is very clean and spacious. The breakfast menu offers plenty of choice and is very reasonably priced. I opted for the full English and when it arrived I was wondering how I was going to manage to eat it all. Anyway I did finish it and it was great. Hot and tasty and plenty of it. If you have some time to kill whilst in Raunds and you are hungry Jesters is the place to go. Give it a try.

Excellent. Listened to what I wanted, They delivered. Party of around 35 people. It was held on one of the worst weather nights of the winter. Service was fantastic. Food was fantastic. Would highly recommend

Popped in for lunch, had Jacket potato, wow, good sized spud with plenty of filling, a very relaxed and nostalgic cafe, excellent for the film and tv buffs with memorabilia on the walls. Food was excellent and staff friendly.

Ok , So I went over to Raunds to the car breakers place and while there I was chatting to some random dude as you do about food ! It's a bloke thing ! Any decent burger vans or cafes around here I asked . He told me the best place is Jesters in Raunds , they do an awesome breakfast with banging sausages . So after some searching I found jesters ( it is a bit hidden away , looks like an old bungalow or something ) I walked in and I was actually quite shocked !! A real nice place with loads of old time comedy photos on the walls , old comics even an old cinema projector .I ordered a Joker breakfast . Wow !!!!!!!! It was brilliant and huge . Upon nearly finishing it ;) a feller came out of the kitchen and asked everything ok with your food ? you had enough ? do you want a few chips putting on ?! I assured him i was now full and could do with a sleep :)From talking to a lady who was waiting on tables her and her partner own the place and also do the cooking with the staff . Real family feeling to it with everyone really friendly . I have been 4 times now and even took the wife for a really lovely Sat night meal which was cooked by a 16 year old training chef .Wish my Son could cook like that ! This place is Top shelf and can see why it gets good feedback . Congratulations Jesters staff

This is a place will most definitely visit again and again - now that we have found it! tucked away up from the main street through Raunds is this unique, home from home evening experience on a Saturday night. We LOVED it, the food was tasty and generous and very good value for money. The variety was great and they offer a wide range of drinks too. There is lovely music in the background and a small TV screens to watch some of your fave funny moments from years gone by. I think next time we go we may have to book! Coffee is apparently fab too. As it is set back a bit it's quite and peaceful too. Go on give it a go!

I have been to Jester's a handful of times now and I really enjoy it there as a local. Very friendly staff, helpful and welcoming. I especially enjoyed my breakfast there yesterday, a choice of six items fry up! Very very yummy indeed! Best fry up I have had in a while! I have been told by the people who run it that they order in fresh meat from the local butchers in Stanwick which is very refreshing as other cafes and restaurants seems to only use frozen meat from wholesalers! Choice of gluten free foods and helpful with other dietary requirements and intolerances. I go there often as my friends and I enjoy it there. Well done Jesters :)

We go here regularly and always have a great time. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Food is always fabulous. If you have never tried their cooked breakfast then you are missing out.

My partner eventually talked me into lunch one day and we attended this little out of the way place. She was so excited that I should try it so we went and on my first visit together with my partner I was impressed by the warm welcome the friendly staff and all the way to being seated. A real taste of the past and some comedy greats it was nice to see Norman wisdom a real favourite of mine A great choice on the menu and on the board not too much too choose from but enough to water your taste buds. I love my burgers so I was tempted by all but one stood out that I had to have the faulty towers burger a mouth watering blend of fresh locally sourced thick beef burgers complimented by layers of bacon and a mild not too strong creamy tasting cheese and I wanted to be cheeky and have an egg on top which was not a problem for the chef at all. It was complimented with a portion of freshly chunky chips fluffy and not over cooked also a helping of crispy delicious onion rings. When it arrived I was amazed it was a glorious mountain of man made heaven juicy big and very mouth watering they also provided a plate to allow me to take it apart but as for me I did not need it as I could not wait to get stuck in. Every bite left me wanting more I could not eat it fast enough everything complimented every layer and each and every bite so juicy and moorish. Upon finishing I was very satisfied and I do not mean to sound greedy but I could have had gone another round with another one as a burger lover and a lover of meat I would highly recommend this little palace of food pleasure. Oh and it does not stop there it had to be tried again oh yes it left an impression again a great friendly welcome also they remember you which is really nice but I think that is because my partner has been having sneaky lunches without me lol. Again we were shown to our seats and given a menu this time I ordered a jesters breakfast apparently it has beaten some builders so I have been told so onwards I go now I know my fried breakfasts as I have had plenty over the years and I have to admit there was one I never thought could have been beaten. It was at a roadside food truck and it was a mega breakfast in a bread roll and it was yummy and I never thought I could have that same experience but I was wrong when I was brought out this plate of heavenly meaty mixture of eye watering breakfast with heaps of beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, a chunk of black pudding, fried slice, nice meaty slices of bacon, perfectly cooked fried eggs yummy and runny just perfect, also it come with fat juicy sausages it was meant to be three but I had four and I am glad I did. Every bite was mouth watering and perfectly cooked the bacon not too salty the sausages not over cooked yet juicy and fat they tasted fresh not cheap. A beautifully cooked breakfast and the best thing is on both occasions you get what you paid for it is priced just right and the portions are plentiful you will not leave feeling hungry that is only if you are me and enjoy it so much you want more but I'm always hungry I may yet challenge myself to 2x fawlty tower burgers next time. And now for the beautiful ending on our second visit we had discussed since our last visit together that we would like to have our wedding reception here so we asked and we got a yes as they do cater for events so this has made our year and because we like vintage they are assisting us in achieving our dream reception with cream teas (which by the way we have been told they will be on there menu soon) and a buffet etc. This little hidden away venu is a must stop for anyone the food fresh and inviting a lovely cosy environment with friendly staff that could not be more helpful I cannot wait to return

Not sure I want to share this little gem but can highly recommend visiting Jester's, had breakfast there today and it was fantastic. The food was fresh and tasty. The staff so friendly and welcoming will be visiting again

Was passing through today and saw on trip advisor really good reviews so thought i would give it a try. Me and my partner had sunday lunch, it taste sooo good would def return.

Amazing yummy food ,breakfasts are all cooked to how you want them ,produce is all fresh and no plastic bacon or sausages !! Just proper butchers ,sourced locally, another visit for lunch for my sons birthday lovely choice on the menu and specials to choose from and a very good selection of wines too . will be definitely be visiting on a Saturday evening in the future they even put on special evening events !!! The owners and staff are so friendly too .this is definitely what Raunds needs ,please take a visit and support a local business

My wife and i have visited Jester's many times over the last few weeks and it keeps getting better and better. Food is excellent and service is very polite. We have been for breakfast and if you want something that is not on the menu just ask , if they can aplige they will. Recently opened on Saturday evenings and the food was very good.

Wonderful Themed Cafe/Bar, some great pictures to marvel at.. But apart from this what about the Food !! Breakfast. Wife is a Veggie and was so pleased to see they catered for her by offering a Full Veggie Breakfast, which she ordered. Me i went for the Jokers Breakfast.. It was HUGE and absolutely Wonderful.. Everything was cooked to perfection and was just so tasteful. My only problem with this was i struggled to eat it all. Was stuffed to Bursting and the Endless Free Tea didnt Help lol.. The wife's veggie Breakfast was also HUGE and looked Amazing. Was unable to eat it all despite it being just perfect. 10/10 for Quality, Quantity service and decoration. fantastic Cafe/Bistro/Bar. Highly Recommended and we will Definitely Be visiting Jesters again

Saw it mentioned on facebook , so thought we would give it a try . A real nice set out , with more room than you would guess from looking outside Some lovely images of some great British comedy legends .Staff are helpful and food was clearly freshly made .Will be back
