A really lovely place with great food. Staff are friendly and chatty , which helps to make it a great experience .

Lovely food, came out quickly. Lady at the till seemed a bit grumpy but an older lady who served us was so amazing and kind to my daughter, even let her draw on her note bad and took her to choose a drink. I would recommend.

Cozy place to pop in for a breakfast or lunch. I tried Belgian Waffle and wasn't disapointed. Fresh, sweet and delicious.

This cafe is such a great find. The staff are very friendly. The food is excellent and it is also very dog friendly with Billy being given a sausage while we were having a coffee and another when we went back for lunch. I had the chicken and salad sandwich. The salad with it came with a nice dressing, I asked not to have the coldslaw and I think I got extra salad in replace. Bob had the breakfast bap which had an egg, 2 sausages and 2 slices of bacon in. I've never seen such a massive roll. The prices are reasonable and the produce is all local. Definitely will be going back when we are in Thrapston.

This is a lovely cafe frequented by the locals and visitors alike. The staff are extremely helpful and willing to make minor changes to their menu should customers desire. I changed my bacon on sourdough toast to salmon 🍣 very easily.

Brilliant little find, staff are really approachable, even when I said about the tables being slightly too small for 2 full breakfasts to go on. (if people ask I always say if something could be improved) Manager / owner comes across as a really nice guy. Food was well cooked and the sausages fantastic.

I found out about this cafe on Trip Advisor, and after visiting and having a fabulous lunch and great service, I too wanted to write a review about Bennett's. Both my friend and I chose the lasagne accompanied with salad and bread. The lasagne was home made and delicious and the salad was to die for, and very reasonably priced too. It would have been rude not to have also tried the lovely cakes on display, so I had a slice of cherry bakewell cake and my friend chose a slice of banana cake - both superb. We're not from Thrapston, but it is very well supported by the locals (always a good sign) and the staff were very friendly. We'll be visiting again soon. Thank you!

Not their fault but we attempted to have breakfast one Sunday morning for two and a party of 8 barged in and proceeded to individually sit at tables so that no one else could be seated What happened to manners, Ignorant selfish people are the norm now unfortunately. The cafe need to have a seating policy and not allow people just to plonk themselves down

Coffee was very good ,but unfortunately the breakfast was not up to much. The eggs ,bacon and sausage were very over done .The toast was untoasted and hardly chewable and turned up 5 minutes after the rest of the food... For the money I expect much better. My partner left most of hers as it wasn't edible.

Only got a takeaway coffee, but the service was really great. Gave a friendly, family vibe and a personal service. There were some cakes that looked really nice, so I will try some next time.

It’s a shame really. I used to love going here most mornings for breakfast. But the staff have now made it uncomfortable for me by making up a load of rubbish about me or other locals. If you want to be bullied with your breakfast….. go to Bennett’s

A real disappointment for breakfast. 2 full breakfasts, 1 eggs Benedict & 1 eggs on toast. The eggs were tiny, the fried ones burnt. Bacon chewy, hollandaise sauce tasted like plain melted cheddar. The bread was really nice! The toast arrived way before the food so it was cold by the time the food arrived. The eggs on toast was a really miserable portion. Because the eggs were so tiny on the giant bread. We sat at the top end and the chef was clearly born in a barn as he failed twice to close the door to the outside toilet on his way when it was freezing cold inside. No one came to clear our plates at the end or check every was okay. We sat for over half an hour after we finished and not a single person came over. We had to go down to the till to order coffee. It wasn’t that busy either. The coffee was actually nice. But for the rest a waste of £50! Wouldn’t return for food nor would I recommend.

Went for the first time today with my little girl, what a lovely place, staff treated my little girl like a princess! She loved it! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would absolutely reccomend and will 100% be back. Thanks 😊

i love this café, the staff are polite, the food is well made and affordable, the atmosphere is relaxed and mostly quiet despite being located on the road, it is a great place to eat out, but bring empty stomach because the portions are large :)

This was a second visit to this restaurant having been impressed the first time. The staff are very friendly and were quick to arrange seating for our party of five. The meals are very good, especially the sandwiches, the coffee is very good and the milk shakes are amazing. Can highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning in order to try other things on the menu.

What a great find. Made an off A14 stop as we were hungry. It literally is just off the motorway. Lovely market town. We had a small all day breakfast. Very friendly people. Food good and great specials selection. Popular place. One small off putting thing was dust and dead bugs in the window. Not where people sit but visible from outside.

The best family friendly and dog friendly cafe! We took our little boy (2years old) and puppy and had a lovely breakfast! The staff went above any beyond, lovely food! And lots of toys for our son to play with! Thank you for such a lovely morning! We will definitely be back x

Popped into the village to get some meds from the chemist and asked the lady who served me for recommendations for the best place to grab a breakfast. She recommended Bennet’s without hesitation. I ordered the full English and the Mega milkshake because I’m a pig. The food was lovely except for the bacon which was really dry as if he had been sitting around for a while. Everything else on the plate was fine. The milkshake was also great. The cafe is small and cosy and is clearly a favourite for the locals as many customers coming in and leaving seemed to know each other. If you’re visiting the village as I was and wondering where to grab a brekky, then this would be the place. Internal and external seating available and dog friendly.

My husband and I visited Bennett’s this week for lunch while dog sitting for a week. My son and his wife left us a treat to go to Bennett’s and what a treat it was! He had a ploughman and it was enormous with everything on it which he really enjoyed, the best he’d ever had and he’s had a few and large coffee. I had chicken tikka and cheese focaccia salad crisps and dip. It was gorgeous. So tasty. A nice pot of tea that had 3 cups in, very generous. The price was very reasonable too. The staff were very polite and friendly even though they were very busy. It was that good that we went again. Thank you to the very pleasant staff. Brenda & Charles xx

We found this delightful café almost by accident due to the rain. However, what a gem. The food is delicious as is the coffee. The staff are attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is good. Highly recommended.

We were travelling from Rugby en route to Cambridge when we decided to leave the lorry populated drudgery of the A14 and take a break. We left at Thrapston and parked up at the free car park next to the Co-op. The town was small with a few pubs, the usual charity shops and a couple of coffee places. We were going to check out one of the pubs, when Bennett's café front caught our eye. Feeling hungry we decided to give it a go, and we were not disappointed! We were greeted with a smile and were immediately made welcome. There was more than adequate seating space, and the menu was excellent; lots of good choices, with some imaginative creations one wouldn't expect at a high street café in a small town. We were served by three people, all of whom were sweet and attentive. From the general conversations we gleaned that the place was popular with the locals, no surprise really when we saw the kind of food being served up. The meals were all freshly prepared from good, locally sourced produce. We had omelettes, generous portions which were full of delicious ingredients, including ham, mushrooms and sausage. Our meals were served in good time and in a genuinely friendly manner. We thoroughly enjoyed our food, you could tell that the chef had real quality. What a delight to discover such a gem, I highly recommend this place if you need great food, good service and don't want to pay the earth for it.

This is the best place for breakfast in Thrapston. Now, you might argue that it's the ONLY place for breakfast in Thrapston, but that doesn't detract from the fact that this is a fantastic place. The breakfasts were very good indeed, with great butchers' sausages. Staff were very attentive and accommodating. It's not huge, and there often seems to be a little queue to get seated. They do takeaways, too. A couple of tables out front and outside seating at the back, too. The toilet is a bit of a mystery-tour trek but nice enough. Dogs and children are welcome. Should I find myself in Thrapston again, I will have to pop in again!

Love Bennett’s! After moving to Thrapston two years we have often used Bennett’s either for coffee and cake, breakfast or lunch. The food is fantastic and good value for money and the staff are always friendly. Today my friend and I had one of the best afternoon tea’s ever sitting in the sun in the beautiful courtyard. Delicious array of sandwiches, sausage roll, cakes and a scone with jam and clotted cream and a drink. Couldn’t fault it at all, would highly recommend and will definitely be back for more.

An excellent and very busy cafe. Despite being busy they served three hungry cyclists on Sat 25th in double quick time (and then another four in our club equally quickly). My bacon roll was at the table outside before I was! And the Eccles cakes were HUGE. We wish we'd known about the small garden at the back for bikes and sun but we will next time.

5 stars all the way ! Lovely clean cafe/ tearoom. All the food was well presented tasty & plenty of it. It was quick efficient service from all the staff who gave the cafe a lovely friendly atmosphere. I will definitely be going back.

Busy popular cafe in the village, cracking big breakfast, well presented and plenty of it.. however you do pay for what you get. If anything a pound cheaper would be appreciated.

Had visited this lovely cafe before and was only in the area for a couple of hours and wanted to support local. I got a shock on entering the cafe,it was either 8.58 or just about to turn 9am. Yesterday was snowing morning heavily and I saw the door was slightly open so I went in. To be confronted with a “not open yet if you can wait outside ‘ I wanted to tell the lady to stick it, I was shocked that in these conditions outside they would entertain those words. Why couldn’t she of said ‘ we aren’t open yet but come and take a seat out from the snow and we will be with you shortly ‘ if your not open don’t have the door unlocked then ! I won’t be going there AGAIN complete lack of customer service from n a freezing cold day, I could of been Mistry shopping them for all they know ?

The food is top tier and I go there every Friday they are very friendly people and it's just overall a 5 star resteraunt.

If I could give zero stars, I would - extremely rude woman on the counter!!!!

This is not a bad cafe/tearoom..It was lunch service and me and my girl was looking for something quick and tasty...The food was reasonable the service a little slow and unprofessional. The staff clearly have not been trained in hospitality and the feeling that they are ..just helping out a friend.. comes to mind...I gather one of the workers is the owner? As they were miserable and rude....Another member of staff shouted at a customer as they were lost when looking for the toilet...which isn't very well signed...As I said before, if you don't like what job your doing go and do something else. There are plenty jobs where you can work on your own and not have to look or speak to anyone...All in all an ok place....just.

We had an excellent Full English and Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Lovely to stop off here just a mile off the A14 on a long journey.

Unfortunately second time within short period the quality and taste of the coffees are very disappointing.

£7.50 for a sandwich with salad and crisps to eat in. £7.50 for the same sandwich to take away but WITHOUT the salad and crisps. And they save the VAT with a take away, so you are paying more to get less! Sandwiches and cakes...

Had a really enjoyable lunch here while waiting for emergency repairs to our car at a local garage. Excellent service, delicious food and very friendly and polite staff. Good value for money too and we would certainly recommend it. A special thank you too to the lady who kindly recommended a beautiful walk for us to enjoy while we waited - it was lovely.

Visited today with my friend and her elderly mother who was in a wheelchair, and I have to say I was blown away with the friendliness and support the staff showed us. Nothing was too much trouble and we all felt really welcome Many thanks to all Jane Morton

Six of us are here for breakfast Tuesday morning. Food was excellent and a good price. We sat in the garden which is very pleasant.

Nicely positioned in the main street through town and with an attractive frontage, this is the obvious place to visit for a Saturday morning coffee and a bite to eat. Thrapston looks to be a busy little place with an abundance of independent retail businesses...
