New Management, new menu, hygienic & freshly refurbished. The old manky carpet pulled up and replaced with lovely wooden flooring. The bar is brass and shiny never knew it was brass! Tastefully painted and new furniture. Lee the chef knows his ingredients and knows how to cook & present it. Love this pub, the staff and both Lee & Helen the new management. Hope they keep their idea of having no football showing and no children in pub area. This village needed a nice pub where nice folk can go to for a top meal and drink. Joe it stays this way.

We went as a family for Sunday lunch on the recommendation of a friend. We were 4 adults, one child and a baby. The food and service were excellent. In addition to the vegetables on your plate we also got 3 dishes of delicious greens and bought a side of cauliflower cheese big enough for 2 people. We also ordered pudding which was lovely. We will definitely visit again

This is not a family friendly pub, avoid is my advice. It’s just a typical backward 1970’s experience, still it has the tacky decor to pull it off.

We went for a meal here yesterday evening, there were 4 of us plus a dog. As you would expect we couldn’t sit in the dining area due to our friends dog but we were very happy sitting elsewhere. The service was great, attentive & friendly without being too much, the food was hot, tasty and there was plenty of it. 3 courses plus a round of drinks was £166 which is great value. We will definitely return. There’s a nice seating area at the back that was busy and created a lovely atmosphere. Thanks for a lovely evening

Since the pub came under new management earlier this year the whole place has been revamped, it is now a stylish and welcoming place to visit The staff are friendly and welcoming Lee is a fabulous host and cook the menu is varied and everything we ordered was spot on and delicious so pleased they are in our village as we now have a great place to eat Brigstock is close to the A14 very easy to get to from Kettering, Corby Thrapston and surrounding villages Cannot recommend highly enough

Great food and great service. We spent some time looking for a good restaurant in the area and we were lucky to find this newly re-opened pub restaurant (3 months ago) which had availability on a Saturday night - we booked by phone on advice from a local. Brigstock is a lovely looking village and the pub looked inviting. We were able to park outside. The greetings were really friendly and the service very efficient. The menu was more extensive and more up market than anything else we had looked at; the food was great. I had a Thai Green Curry which I really enjoyed, quite delicate and perfectly cooked. The other members of the party had different dishes and all enjoyed their food. The wine was also good and both food and wine were reasonably priced for the quality. The picture attached to the location does not do the food justice - I wonder whether this is from before the re-opening.

Had a lovely meal this evening at the old three cocks in celebration of my son's GCSE results. Curry was the flavour of the evening, with the pub holding their curry night. 3 courses (4 if you include the poppadoms and chutneys which are served before starters!) Great tasting food and amazing value for money. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. Would highly recommend a visit!!

This village pub has just reopened under Lee & Helen as landlords. We had our first evening as a group of six friends for food. The starters of Herefordshire beef dumpling with horseradish cream was a delight and surprise it was delicious, warm black pudding scotch egg with homemade pickallie was beautifully cooked with a semi soft yolk. All our starters were tasty and very well served. Mains were equally as tasty and the blackened cod was perfectly cooked with watercress sauce. Our food was delicious, Lee certainly knows his food all locally sourced ingredients and beautifully put together. Top marks to Lee for his cooking and Helen for her hosting she is just lovely. We will certainly be back, local people try his food you will not be disappointed.

Visited for food & drink for a business meeting, the staff were lovely from the moment I walked in & made me feel welcome, while waiting for my client to arrive to discuss business I noticed how rude and unprofessional the management was, one of the staff members looked very uncomfortable and I noticed she was being sexual harassed by a group of men, me being me got involved and advised her to report this to her line manager…to my shock the management did nothing! They didn’t even go out to speak to the men, In my profession as a photographer/videographer for high end clients I was shocked to see how poorly the staff were treated, I ended up leaving without ordering anything as I didn’t want to spend any money with the vile place.

No clear place to book in, just left to stand at the bar and wait for somebody to see to us whilst receiving jeering from drunk men sat at the bar. Showed to our communal bathroom where there were wet towels, old socks and sandals all in the corner of the bathroom. Staff not exactly the most friendly and when we asked them to provide us with details of their manager they provided us with the name "Paul Seafood" which I have now found out is a fake name which I had originally suspected. Loud music until gone midnight and then we were woken up at 3 and 4am by people partying in their rooms. Not ideal when we needed to be up at 6am. When we tried to check out in the morning we had no idea where to give our keys in because all the lights were out with the bar area shut, this was at 7am - we eventually walked into the kitchen and found somebody in there in their pyjamas and we gave our keys to her - she seemed half asleep. I would never recommend this place and left feeling ripped off completely. It seemed as if the staff did not care about our experience and their reputation either. Gordan Ramsey needs to sort this place out!

When we arrived at the pub there were a group of people in the smoking area who were drunk and making comments on us entering carrying all of our bags (what do they expect?) so immediately had a bad feeling about this place. Walked through a 60th birthday party trying to find where to "check in" - turns out you just stand at the bar with your bags and wait for someone to see to you. As we were waiting, there were men at one of the tables who were jeering at us saying "alright love give us your name and number" which is really not what we wanted after a long day at a competition and just wanting to check into our room. I replied to the men and told them we did not want to listen to their sexist remarks we just wanted to go to our room and they just laughed in our faces. As we were showed up to our room we were showed to the communal bathroom where there were wet towels on the floor, sandals, dirty socks and missing shower curtain. When raising our concerns to the bar staff there was no manager or duty manager available. A lady did come in to help us but when telling her the bathroom had not been cleaned she wasn't very sympathetic to our situation when explaining that we would expect to come to a clean facility. When we returned, there was a party on until midnight therefore loud music when we were trying to sleep (needed to be up at 6am) which we did accept because it's a pub, but there was still a commotion downstairs until half past midnight and then at 3am and 4am we were further awoken by a party in one of the rooms. One bed was okay, one was in fairness very comfortable, but the one my friend was on was more springs than mattress. Genuinely really painful to sleep on. We did not feel the staff were receptive of our concerns and we were just fobbed off with an email address of somebody to contact. Pictured attached.

This is possibly the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. The room that was advertised as having a 'garden patio' is actually a converted shed in the car park. The heating was less than useless and we had to use a plug-in radiator. Unfortunately the lack of electric sockets meant that it was sharing with the kettle by means of an extension lead. This is not safe. The shower only ran cold and we were forced to have strip washes using water boiled in the kettle. They even tried to charge me twice! The only good part of the stay was breakfast. Avoid staying here at all costs.

Steaks arrived at 9:20, peas were stone cold, steak was done as ordered, although my wife's was still pink in the middle. On the whole, very disappointed. Not a great a experience, my meal was fine (gammon and chips, hard to get wrong) but my wife had ordered fish and chips and it wasn't cook properly (uncooked in the middle), when we told the waitress she and unsure what to do and had to go and find out what to do, we also had to ask when the replacement meal would be ready, when it came out it was satisfactory and I'm not sure it was cooked properly again (it tasted odd and she didn't eat much of it). Another disappointment was that no one came to speak to us about the meal and there was at least 1 "manager" seating other diners and serving drinks do the opportunity was there to do so.

I haven't been here for years. Attended a birthday party and had a great time. Great host with a fantastic team. Great venue!

We were led to believe this was above average - ho hum... Service, whilst friendly, was slow. Finding a wine list took some 20 minutes. After another reuest when it arrived it was crumpled and stained. As it was warm night we decided to eat outside - tables could have done with a good wipe, and the floor had obviously not seen a sweep for some time - cigarette ends all over the place. Menu was nothing more than average selection of pub food, and from arrival to food arriving took one hour. On the plus sign - food was hot, and acceptable, portion size - substantial. (No need for a starter.)

Went to Mrs B s on Saturday. Cappachino was brilliant. Plenty of Tea. Hot scones as well. Staff lovely. Waitress service which makes a change. Great value for money.

We have been here several times now because the food is great, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and they are dog friendly. There is a choice of sitting inside or outside. The menu offers a good variety of dishes and the helpings are generous and reasonably priced. It has become a firm favourite of mine and I hope to visit many times more. There is an added bonus of a farm shop where I regularly buy fresh, long dated, local farm eggs and a variety of different flavoured heavy fruit cake. Thoroughly recommended.
