The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in East Midlands

Just had a couple of beers 🍻 so can't comment on other stuff , but it's a nice little out the way pub .

Bank Holiday Monday..very quiet!

We arrived and no one was at the hotel - we needed to have given them a specific time before arriving but unfortunately had not seen the messages sent via booking.com. Despite apologising the man was very rude and shouted at us down the phone. We then waited 45 minutes for someone to come and check us in (this is our fault but be aware that you must give them a time). Then an additional service charge was taken. The room we stayed in was fine, except for bedding and towels were very clearly older and completely mismatched. Our bathroom was down the hall and whilst clean the shower was of poor condition. It did not attach to the wall so to shower you had to hold the shower at all times and the shower cables length meant to wash your hair, for example, you needed to sit down. In addition to this the walls were very thin so by going at a weekend there’s was lots of disturbances from people coming back after nights out. Check out however, was easy and the location was the best part about our stay, it was a short walk from the car park, the castle and the main part of the centre. When we return to Nottingham we would choose to pay extra and stay somewhere that felt more legitimate.

Nice friendly pub. Great food and excellent staff particularly our waitress Abi who could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be back

Visité para el almuerzo dominical con mi marido esta semana, y aunque no suelo dejar comentarios, me sentí obligado a darle a The Green Man un pozo - merecía cinco estrellas. Fuimos atendidos por una encantadora señora llamada Celia, que nos dio muy honestamente la mejor experiencia gastronómica que hemos tenido. Ella era increíblemente cálida, servicial y paciente mientras nos hablaba a través de las opciones de asado, ayudándonos en última instancia a elegir la carne asada y el cordero asado — ¡ambos eran absolutamente deliciosos! Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita, ¡volveremos!

Decent local pub with friendly service and standard pub grub. Well filled baguettes and chips hit the spit after a long walk. Deserved to be busier. ( So much better food than the Horse and Groom at Manton)

Excellent welcome. Pleasant staff and excellent meal. Even though it was very busy the staff were attentive and very helpful.

Fantastic food and welcoming staff, a gem of a rural pub. We had a brilliant lunch here on Easter Saturday after a walk nearby. Impressed by gluten free options.

Coffee is ok. Service is friendly. Expensive.

Spoke to a very nice guy by the name of Zeke, fantastic service from the moment of being greeted at the door to leaving with my coffees, he's a credit to your company and not only that, speedy service, well mannered and polite, cheers zeke, top man !

Great friendly town pub. Friendly staff , good selection of beers at great prices.

Sadly not a great experience- ordered 2 steak pies with chips, mushy peas, gravy and curry sauce. When I got home I'd actually got 1 steak pie and 1 chicken and mushroom pie. All the products were only luke warm and the chips were quite rubbery so had been sitting for a while. Normally the food is good but on this occasion I was very disappointed 😞

This is an idyllic pub in a fascinating village. Eyam, Derbyshire, the Plague Village. The menu is short, always a good sign, with two specials. The food was very good, traditional pub grub. The members of staff were really polite, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is ‘country pub’. Very clean and well maintained with quality furniture and fittings. We visited on a glorious sunny day in May. There is a large car park and extensive beer garden. All in all we had a very good experience here. Thank you all.
