I had the brisket of beef, good heavens what a superb serving 👌 👏 loads of gravy, meat, mash and green beans 🥰

Steak was very chewy and chips undercooked. Garlic bread was burnt but onion rings were nice tbh. £25.00 deal with a bottle of wine is good value with a tweak in quality

Visited for lunch today after playing petanque at Wycliff Bowls club with group of 20 friends, they reserved the front of bar area for us, took orders and delivered meals super quick and very tasty. A few of the group hadn't been to a King Henry Tavern before and were amazed at the quality and value of their "All day everyday" deals.

Lovely 10oz rump cooked how I like it. The price was really great.

We only went to the Man at arms by chance as we were going somewhere else, we are so glad that we stopped here, the food was incredible, we had such a great night, and the food was good value for money, so very happy we went. Thank you ☺️

We eat here every week after a busy day working and taking the kids cheerleading in Lutterworth. Bradley is usually front of house giving us a warm welcome and suggests different dishes we otherwise wouldn't think of. Bradley and the rest of the staff have been so warm and friendly - which is one of the main reasons we keep returning. The food is such good value for money and there's such a huge variety. In the last 3 months I have planned 2 suprise birthday cakes for friends with the help of Brad. Lovely village pub, friendly, great staff, great food. * Recommended the 2 steaks and wine offer - it's stunning and an absolute bargain! 🥩 🍷 We will be back next week again... 🥂☀️

Have frequented this pub for many years. Lovely location with incredible reasonable food. We went for a meal to celebrate as a family however it was ruined from the outset by the incredibly rude barman Bradley. I’ve never faced a front of house with such attitude or so rude. Unfortunately too the food has become average and much smaller portions. It’s such a shame this used to be such a standout pub. Will not be returning based on this experience!

Tucked away in a quiet village between lutterworth and Nuneaton this pub has been serving huge top notch steaks since the 80s. Something of a local legend it's as good today as it's always been. Great food and drink with a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Well worth the trip. Oh and there's plenty of parking too

The food was above average. But can honestly say The Man behind the bar with the black earring. Is the rudest person I've ever come across in the industry. And the way he talks to people, I'm surprised he has any customers .Will not be going back just because of him. Zero Stars

The food was excellent, the best pub food I've had in a long time. Service was great. I can't make a fair comment regarding atmosphere because we were there mid afternoon when it was very quiet, but everything was clean and fresh.

Well I've been coming here for 30 yrs and it was the best place for a meal until Thursday 11th July. What a shock food was disgusting I order myself and mrs a fillet steak no salad chips where over cooked and tasted of dirty .steak was absolutely rank .my mum left her gammon and chips as it was over cooked and tasted of dish washer detergent my father was absolutely disgusted .I felt awkward because I said this was one of the best .well I will never come here again .what a shame ......if could give it a score of -5 stars I would

This is a strange review for me, as I last visited about 10 years ago, where it'd have received top marks. I advised my wife to come here as she'd never been. We booked our table for 6.30pm. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and upon arrival were greeted and shown to our table. I chose a King Henry 32oZ rare rump steak, my partner ordered an 8oZ rare rump. We ordered a starter selection of three dishes also. On ordering at the bar we weren't offered any sauces for our steaks, we didn't realise until the meals turned up we'd missed this option. Starter Battered Hallumi fries Battered Shrimp Deep fried salt and pepper chicken It was nice. Came with a sweet chilli dip for each, though something that could have been bought from Iceland and put in the oven. Mains The meal initially looked great. Though after a minute or two it became apparent we were both embarrassed to say it was awful. It was a special date night, I'd advised the place as high standard, and we were at a point of no return. The steak meat was cheap. Us and the table next to us were all trying to work out how the meat had been prepped. It was the texture of tinned corned beef. Fell to pieces, but not in a good way. It looked swollen, as if sat in water to up the weight. The chips were huge, but overly deep fried so were hard and tasted of oil. I wanted to go away feeling satisfied. Instead, we left saying, we won't return again. Two meals, two 0% Heinekens, one diet Pepsi, £65.

Stopped off on a bike ride for a cold drink unfortunately all glasses had remnants of dishwashing liquid and made the drinks taste terrible. Outside tables were in car parking spaces at the back of the pub so not really a nice space to sit. Such a shame. Can't really comment on food etc as we didn't stay long.

Meals looked really lovely, however we were bombarded with flies landing on our meals so couldn't eat them one dead one on my husband's plate. And this was indoors. Shame as been before and really enjoyed our food.

This was the 1st back in about 10 years as it went downhill, but it was back to it's high standards if not better.. the food was lovely and very good value.. We will be going back.!

Arguably the best steak in Leicestershire, reasonable price, free car park, staff were friendly and great service, steak med-rare melted in your mouth 10/10. Very nice pub.

I don't recommend coming in here for a bite at lunch, ordered very simple meals that took a very long time to arrive at our table. If you've got a lot of time to sit and wait, it's probably worth it but service is very slow here.

Wonderful atmosphere, plenty of parking, clean & tidy, food was absolutely gorgeous, great value for money, wonderful service, place was busy but food was piping hot & delivery to the table was so quick after ordering!! Lovely pub, great to visit and although we were lucky they had a table would recommend booking as they were busy! Food was lovely, staff friendly & helpful. Only downside was we sat right next to the fire which was really pretty but too warm on a sunny day.

T bone was tough. My mixed grill meats were not enjoyable...wet rather than succulent, very disappointing.

Sorry,I hate leaving poor reviews but our visit today just wasn't as good as I recall it used to be. Didn't bother staying for dessert. Staff were great though, food was average at best and certainly not all of it was freshly cooked.

We turned up early evening without having a table booked, and we managed to have a small table brought into service. The food was brought out in a timely fashion and was beautifully cooked. Real fire warming the place really well adding to a lovely atmosphere.

A nice pub in a quiet little village, I had a mixed grill and a pint, the food was tasty and good value, a nice selection of beers and meals. Dog friendly with a section of the bar that you can take your dog. Staff were really polite and helpful Thoroughly enjoyed my meal, definitely recommended.

My mother had cottage pie from the lunchtime menu and was happy with meal and price. The 1 star is for my chicken fajitas, or should I say "peppers" fajitas. There was virtually no chicken on the sizzler, at £15 I was very disappointed, especially as I'd just trimmed 1.8kg of grade A chicken breast, knowing very well the price of chicken. I also ordered a side of boiled potatoes, I got 4 which was fine, but 3 of them were covered in bad bits, I should've sent them straight back but I didn't want to ruin my mothers day. She then did complain and showed the evidence and the waitress said "I'll tell the chef". Probably just an off meal, but I'm reviewing my experience. Shame.

My friends a had booked for birthday and reserved a table, only when we arrived did a very rude waiter turned and said we have sat people on your table so you will sit here my friend went to say something to him and he said sit down there and walked away .very sad .instead of saying there go ladies he was total out order shame because the food was very good. I think he needs training on how to speak to customers.

Normally visit here once or twice a month until 2 weeks ago kinda spoilt it for us where my partner had a long black hair in his food, I went to bar had to wait abit as no bar staff out the front when I managed to catch one of their attention he came over took the food away to replace it offered to put mine under the lamp to keep it warm but I didn't want my steak to dry out which he agreed couldn't be guaranteed waited a while for my partners fresh food to be brought out by which point mine was stone cold. My partner had a fresh steak but definitely didn't look or taste like a rump steak it was so thin, and tasted horrible (yes i tried it) which is such a shame as it has put us off. Did tell the staff member it was horrible an he just said he would mention it to the kitchen.

Food was great, atmosphere good. Could have done with the waitress to explain we had to go to bar to order food and drinks. Always good to know what you need to do when you walk in. It's a nice touch. Customer is informed.

Such a lovey meal AGAIN !!! Every time we come here the food is excellent and a great price . The bar staff are friendly and the atmosphere is always good . Steaks are spot on and the steak and ale pie always hits the mark .

My partner and both has steak, he had 24oz rump I had 16oz T bone asked for them to be medium, both were well done and the meat was tough. Very disappointed as haven't been for a long time and it used to be fantastic

Lovely place, nice relaxed atmosphere. Husband had the titanic steak and he really enjoyed it. Kids also had steak, mac and cheese and i had the crispy shrimp salad. Everyone had a fab meal and the team who serve the meals are fabulous and friendly. I would highly recommend. The car park is a little small so I can imagine could be an issue in busier times.

I'm very sad to be leaving this review but tonight really let them down. I booked a table for 10 (we have a sizable family, this is not our first time here and it has always been OK so far) it was my husbands birthday so hoped for a nice evening. Tonight we arrived with my husbands assistance dog and were met with quite an attitude asking if I had mentioned the dog. I never had to previously as this claims to be a dog friendly pub. Begrudgingly they moved our table (to the dog friendly part, about 3 metres from the rest of the pub), at 6pm they informed us they would need it back at 7.45. A bit tight for 10 people to eat especially if anyone wanted dessert but OK. We had our meal, it was OK. My niece ordered dessert which didn't arrive. My husband went to the bar and heard a waitress saying "whose apple pie is that, its been there for ages, if someone doesn't claim it soon I'm having it" my husband then said I think we have been waiting for that. My niece was then served her reheated pie, at about 7.40pm. I don't believe my niece would have gotten her dessert if my husband hadn't heard this. As soon as she was finished we were asked to leave our table, the waitress said there is lots of seating in the bar to finish your drinks. So we gave up our table. Big mistake, the waitress was lying. There was no seating - the bar was so busy. 10 people left standing with nowhere to go! We had ordered some of the most expensive dishes on the menu. My husband is waiting for a hip replacement. Twice I complained and was told someone was coming to help me. No one did. Half of our party gave up and left. Then a table opened up and we jumped on it. Full of plates and dirty. We cleared it ourselves. At no point did anyone come over to offer to wipe it. I expect we spent more there tonight than any other party, definitely would have spent a lot more if we hadn't been removed from our table. I reserved a table for this special occasion and an assistance dog should very allowed full access. We meet here as its the middle between our houses. There are other pubs and sadly now we will be looking into them. I did speak to a guy who said no manager was working that night. On a busy Saturday night clearly a mistake. All of this could have been avoided if our assistance dog could of sat at the table they had reserved for us. Very disappointing.

Family meal that was very poor food was cold & under cooked I spoke to the waitress who replied I will let the chef know ( yes the place was fairly busy ) but the chef or manager never appeared Will not be rushing back

It's cheap but not always cheerful. Steaks can be hit and miss, many meals going back to the kitchen. Mine was cooked to medium rare but no seasoning at all and only just warm enough

Six of us visited on a Saturday evening. The pub was busy but didn't feel crowded. The food was hot, tasty, and reasonably priced. Not a massive choice of beers, but I would say it's more of an eating place than a drinking place. Overall I would recommend The Man at Arms, but book a table at the weekend.

The Man at Arms is an okay pub, a little cramped inside, staff were not particularly friendly, but the drinks were good quality. The atmosphere was tense, making us want to leave. It was possibly down to being straight after Christmas, where staff had been stressed and overworked.

Disappointing meal, requested a table near the fireplace as we had elderly people with us...... no fires lit and the pub was freezing cold. Asked if fire could be lit only to be told there was nobody available to lite it. Told the waitress how disappointed we were in the evening and she didn't comment. 3 Tables around us left as all complained about the cold. Definitely going downhill fast.

A lovely premises with welcoming real fires. Staff cleared table unobtrusively & promptly. Nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were cooked to perfection. Five star recommendation

Very warm welcome and friendly staff. This pub restaurant is nothing like it used to be. My husbands mixed grill was nice but the other three meals were dissapointing. Peppered pork chops were not chops but pork steaks. They were grilled to the point of being as dry as a bone. The rub was artificially peppery, just not good. The chicken fajita skillet looked good, the chicken was nice but the peppers and onions were not chargrilled, they were burnt black and not edible. The sausage and mash was okay but average at best. First pint of draught ale was good, the second pint from the same tap, watery and not good. £70 wasted in an hour. Service was good though. Won't be eating there again.

Okish, if you like quite country pub's then this is ok. If you are looking for atmosphere, cheap drinks and a acceptable food. Then go to your local spoons.

Loved the open fire, set up a nice warm atmosphere to sit in. The staff was very friendly & service was A star!! The food was amazing, definitely worth the money!! I will definitely go again at some point!! Thanks for a lovely evening!!

This is a very unusual and characterful building complete with an unusual fireplace with log burner. The atmosphere is interesting but with pop music playing and seating quite close to other diners. The menu is extensive coupled with super tasty deserts. I think we chose unwisely of braised beef. This was very disappointing with jelly like gravy, soggy beans and mashed potatoes hidden underneath fatty thick slices of meat. The mashed potatoes were so hot we both suffered very badly burned roof of our mouthes. We were lucky to have cold drinks to hand and somewhat soothed by icecream deserts. I did mention this to the waitress. It is such a shame we found this because the pub may lose custom when it is in such a good building. There is a very large car park to the rear of the pub.

Meal for 5 was served promptly and the service was very pleasant. It was busy from 12pm when we arrived. We all had different dishes and everything was tasty. The burgers were HUGE. I would recommend this pub.

We called upon the Man at Arms at short notice to accommodate 22 people after we had been let down. The food came out in good time it was hot and the order was right which with 22 people is a tall order. Food was tasty as you would expect and we will definitely be returning thank you everyone for great service and looking after us.

The food was barely edible. Warm, undercooked and unseasoned. Has changed greatly since I was last there. Won't go again and wouldn't recommend anyone else go.

Great friendly pub, great service and great food. The only let down with this pub is the female toilets! They are absolutely filthy!! Have complained a few times after each visit only for them to still be the same.. come on Man at Arms please do your regular hourly checks to resolve this.

Food and service very good, Slightly let down with table & menu's sticky..

When myself and my wife called in for a meal last night the service was excellent and the food arrived quickly. Immediately we were both aware that the peas had not been heated but this was quickly rectified by the waitress. It was then obvious that both our meals were only very slightly warm. I persisted with the fish and ate about half of it before asking to see the manager. She explained that it is “not company policy” to change cold food when some of it had been eaten but offered a free drink or sweet. We had not visited for a free drink or sweet so we declined. She also told us that no-one else had cold food, but I’m not sure why this had any bearing on what we had in front of us. She then said that she would speak to the chef later. Again I don’t know why this had any bearing on what we had paid for. A very disappointing evening and extremely bad customer relations.

My husband and I went with 3 grandchildren and 1 other adult. Bill was over £100 for 6. Food was very good. Staff disorganised, Manager missing, no-one could tell me what cheesecake of the day was, when I did find out ordered 2 to be told only had 1!!! Really. Overall ok

DO NOT RECOMMEND. We had been told to visit this place as it was meant to be good. Granted we visited on a bank holiday but it shouldn’t be an excuse. We had a party of 10 people but we had separate bills. This was apparently an issue for the staff as we had one of the orders arrive about 10 minutes before the other. We ended up having toddlers screaming because they were hungry. When asked what’s taking so long I was told they’d be out soon. I had a curry and it got served with a very greasy popadom and a steak knife, when I asked for a spoon I got asked why I needed it. When it came for desserts I asked if the 2 kids could have 2 scoops of ice cream each for the kids. They came out with 4 bowls each with 1 scoop of ice cream. The food was ok but the service was horrible

I visited this pub while traveling to see friends in Leicester. A beautiful atmosphere. The service was fast and effective. The food was lovely and plentiful. This is a very busy pub with lots of people attending. Probably not the best place to visit if you're not good with lots of people.

The lamb was good, a few chip that been re frying couple of times it’s dry and dark. The mighty man steaks grills was ok. Overall the meal are slightly above average.

We've been going here for a few years now and while the offer of 2 meals and wine for £21.99 is brilliant the menu is not as varied as it used to be. My son had the spaghetti carbonara and it was too runny and hardly any bacon in it.

Steak, King Henry was very fatty, Service was very slow, and seating/ table arrangements very cluttered...
