Starbucks in Harborough

Please can you sort out the gnats :( otherwise excellent.

Why won’t you accept cash? Cash is still legal tender in this country. Is it Starbucks’ intention to exclude people of a certain age who don’t pay for every single thing with their phone?

It was very nice , tho every time we go there seems to be no matcha . If we are just going at the wrong time I don't know but other than that it was very enjoyable. A lot of seating and not too busy . Outdoor seating as well. Would recommend:)

Shocking!! - today 14th August 2024 we visited, well to start with we were told the dishwasher was broken?! So we had our drinks in paper cups, and our cake in a bag, which doubled up as a plate!! Really do you not have running water a sink and some washing up liquid?? Then to top it off both the toilets were out of order!! What a shambles won't be rushing back.

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would....I am deeply disappointed with the new manager at the Market Harborough branch of Starbucks. My recent experiences have been nothing short of appalling. Firstly, despite the advertised opening time of 7am, the manager consistently keeps customers waiting outside for up to 15 minutes after opening. This blatant disregard for punctuality is unacceptable. Furthermore, the customer service provided under this manager's leadership is abysmal. It is truly shocking how someone with such poor interpersonal skills and lack of professionalism could be appointed as a manager. It boggles the mind. As a previously loyal customer of this branch, I am now forced to take my business elsewhere. I strongly advise others to do the same. It is clear that the quality of service has deteriorated significantly under the new management. To add insult to injury, I have noticed a disturbing trend of fluctuating prices at this branch. On different occasions, I have been charged varying amounts for the exact same order, with no explanation provided. When I raised this concern with the manager, her response was dismissive and unhelpful, simply stating "price increase day." This level of inconsistency and lack of transparency is utterly unacceptable. In conclusion, Starbucks management must address these issues promptly before they lose any more customers. It is evident that the Market Harborough branch is in dire need of competent leadership and improved customer service practices.

Filthy!, called in 2 days, never seen so many dirty used cups on every single table, not 1 table was clean. Was 2nd in the queue but the barista just kept talking nonsense to the customer in front of me. It was bizarre, it was if she wanted to keep me waiting? Heard her say the other staff were taking a break. Just turned around and left! Went today just the same mess!

You can sit here and watch the world go past, feet up, caramel mocha plus cake. Discovered as I rode past. Stopped many times. Back again.road trip to Uppingham, Harley Davidson. Stopping over in Foxton and will be back to enjoy there fine hot drinks.

This pace is very laptop friendly with loads of available power points. However, several dogs inside - in apparent iolation of their published pet policy.

It smelled extremely bad, noft of coffee either So dirty everywhere. Could not, would not sit down, the tables were dirty, there was rubbish all over the floor near the toilets. Staff were ok, but no-one cleaning.

Walked in and out of approx 12-14 table not a single one without mess all over it from previous customer. The floor was filthy and even chairs with dog foot prints and dirt. The thing is, there was only 5 customers in and the two girls behind the counter chatting and taking selfies. We simply couldn’t believe it…. I read on the last Google review similar things. Why?! It would’ve taken 1-2 minutes to clear the tables Super thirsty/hungry so did order and food drink was fine but the restaurant it stayed like that for 20 mins til we left. The franchisees should be horrified and get these girls sorted out I could see other customers walking in and thinking the same. No excuse at all …it was dead and they could’ve cleaned it between occasion walk-in so easily. Hate leaving bad reviews and don’t often but this was jaw dropping bad.

Nice drinks and good service, but every time I visit this Starbucks I can’t believe how dirty it is. If there is a cleaner they can’t do anything. Just needs a really good deep clean. But apart from that it’s your normal global coffee chain.

Really slow service, lots of faffing, 4 ppl came in and were served before ours was ready. Complained and ignored. Won't come back

2nd day on the bounce the printer for online orders isn't working. First day they never said it wasn't working, waited 15 minutes before being asking what the delay was to be told by the young guy to join the back of the queue. No apology. Waiting in the queue again today. Terrible service and the coffee is average anyway, wouldn't be here if garage bakehouse was open on a sunday. Shocking customer service

Every member of staff here are beautiful. Not in the way people see or imagine. The only way they can be. It’s the way they are.

Always a friendly service at this Starbucks with a good choice of food and cakes. Charlotte served us and made a great suggestion of additions to my white mocha. She was very friendly and welcoming.

I purchased 2 drinks and waited ages expecting my name to be called? But instead I had to go investigate myself and get our drinks that were probably there for 10 mins. Not very good.

Highly recommended. Alex in particular is lovely and always has a smile.

Not the best Starbucks I've been to. The staff were friendly enough, but not efficient with the larger order in front. The iced mocha was the worst I've had from any Starbucks store, it tasted like watery chocolate milk with little coffee flavour.

Poor experience. One man in part control of a very large excitable dog, with everyone else giving them a wide berth.

Must be one of the friendliest Starbucks in the uk and actually a pleasure to visit. Ok so reviewing a Starbucks may seem silly but there are still good and bad even within a chain as notorious as Starbucks. Coffee and food are what you expect from Starbucks. Nice coffee, cakes and sandwiches. WiFi works fine once you log in. Decor and ambience is subdued and comfortable after an update so some of the older pictures are out of date. Dark colours and grey tiled floor. Comfortable chairs and the usual stuff but still noisy as it’s all hard flooring bouncing the noise. It has a great little secluded bench section for working too which is a bonus.

Everyone is always so nice and helpful here, drinks are very good and always made quickly

Staff were sound, no complaints about them, good service friendly. Limited cold drinks. Coffee was fine Didn't like the premises, dark decor made it feel quite gloomy inside. As someone else has commented the acoustics are bad, sounds not absorbed well. Very noisy when chairs are moved on the tiled floors. There is also a drone when other customers are talking making it difficult to have a conversation when it busy

Experienced excellent customer service here from the "mature " guy behind the counter counter. He really understood my needs and ensured I got what I needed. Well! Unfortunately this all happened while the 2 younger girls couldn't work out how to operate the till despite me saying I was in a hurry and really didn't need the reward points that badly.

Decent sized outlet and nice coffee. Staff pleasant and friendly .

Floor was dirty, tables were dirty, chairs were dirty. Coffee was Luke warm. Service wasn't great and the toilets were broken. Not planning to go back.

An awful dark, dingy environment, made worse by terrible acoustics (one screaming child and the space becomes unbearable). However, the experience is saved by fantastic staff who have been nothing but friendly, diligent, and really care about what they're doing.

One of my favorite places in town. Always have a good experience there with nice drinks. A perfect place to get some work done. All baristas are very friendly, once I’ve got a student discount even though I didn’t have my student id card with me. Very pleasing. Thank you Starbucks!

Had an exceptional experience here today. The barista on the till gave some wonderful suggestions for our drinks and the barista was so careful around allergens whilst being very personable and fun. Definitely the A team working.

Pleasant coffee shop with helpful staff. Service was slow - member of staff was busy cleaning cakes cabinet rather than serving a small queue of customers. Some tables clearly hadn't been tidied for some time.

Both toilets out of order, only find out when you get to till by overhearing a conversation between staff members: no signs anywhere in shop. No idea when they will be fixed and no one in store particularly bothered by it. I was under the impression (may be wrong) that a service provider was obliged to provide a certain number of toilets per number of customers? so there should be a sense of urgency in getting them fixed? A bit of empathy from staff could have helped a lot too.

Waited fully 10 minutes while they prepared a big takeaway order, then told us that what we wanted wasn't available despite it not being marked as unavailable on their menu.

The coffee was wishy washy but I often find this in a Starbucks. I was giving it one last try. The staff were pleasant but admitted short staffed and a long queue formed with announcements of 'no decaffeinated' every so often. I had a gift voucher and wanted to get rid of it. The guy doing the coffee was chatty and calm and we had a laugh. It's a dark Starbucks, needs brightening up and too many dogs, wet and smelly, at tables so I will let them get on with their doggy meetings and find somewhere a bit better next time. NO criticism of the staff though who were pleasant and super friendly.

matcha latte with vanilla is great you should get it bit expensive but if you have lots of dosh it’s very worth it yum yum

I've been in a few times and always had great service and great coffee, unfortunately today was different, I went in wanting a brown sugar cold coffee thingy, had a couple before, delish, but today the lady was more interested talking to her friend about her hair cut and the drink was not what I asked for.... Dissapointing.

Why oh why do people make a fuss about this place and it's coffee. Personally I do NOT enjoy the burnt, bitter coffee served by Starbucks and absolutely hate the 'paper cups'. With so many alternatives Costa, Cafe Nero etc and even in the indoor market where the coffee is absolutely much better.. why would I choose Starbucks? No discredit to the lovely staff.. just the coffee

The store was not too busy however it took a full 15 minutes from ordering to actually getting my coffee. I did ask if that was their normal service only to be told that mobile orders have priority! Most people waiting looked rather impatient!

Visited the Market Harborough Starbucks today, coffee was OK, but the premises were not very clean, and very tired looking. I would expect much more from a Starbucks coffee shop. P Brailsford.

Unfortunately there felt to be no atmosphere when we visited. The gentleman serving was very polite and professional but sadly the store was dirty. Another team member chose to clear the tables when our drinks were nearly finished grabbing the old jam pot we sat down beside and some of our crockery that was not finished with without saying a word. Great coffee and swift friendly service at the till.

Coffee is what you expect but the service is excruciatingly slow.

It's a normal Starbucks, with the normal range of coffees, teas, etc.

It's Starbucks so the coffee is fine as you would expect. We had sandwiches and my Tuna Panini was fine but my wife decided to try the gluten free ham and cheese Panini. First it wasn't toasted so the bread wasn't like a Panini should be it was still in its plastic bag when it came to us after microwaving....the cheese in it was runny and stayed runny like it was some sort of cheese spread, overall not very nice. Personal preference but the food area where the staff are feels like a clear plastic walled fortress which makes it feel like a "them and us" and much more difficult than needed to communicate with masks on. Other coffee places aren't quite so isolationist

The noise level is too loud, sounds bounce off hard surface making it very difficult to converse. No rubber buffers on chairs, scrapping sounds hurt ears. If you don't have a headache and want 1 this is the best place to get 1

They know my name, remember what drinks I normally have. The staff are always happy and friendly to my 5 year old child who like order his own food. The drinks and snacks are always nice.

Got to be the slowest service in a Starbucks ever ! 5 staff and yet a huge Queue on a Sunday and painfully slow service !! Only 1 barista on and the queue just kept getting longer and longer. Someone was wasting time taking all the overpriced cakes out of the cabinet one by one to wipe the counter !! Really !! When there’s dozens of people waiting to be served drinks, beggars belief. Clearly poor staff management. Was so looking forward to my first eggnog latte of the year but even that was a total letdown when eventually received. Lukewarm, a ton of nutmeg on top and simply poor

It's a Starbucks, they are pretty consistent wherever you go, there isn't a lot to say about it.

It's a Starbucks. Down the road is a local sandwich shop, The Sandwich shop, better coffee, better selection of breakfast rolls, and better prices. Starbucks does have WiFi. 😉

This is a great Starbucks. I started coming here shortly after having my daughter ten years ago and haven't looked back. At the moment it is rearranged for COVID safety measures, with a one way system, perspex screens and reduced seating. During normal times this store has plenty of seating (stools, dining chairs, fabric sofa chairs) and a great atmosphere. Whether you are on your laptop getting work done, having a quiet coffee alone or getting in a round of post-ballet/football babycinos, this place is fab. There is lots of space for buggies - even if meeting up in a group with several between you. It goes without saying that it is a frequent haunt for groups of NCT mums, with top quality coffee, pastries and baby changing facilities.

Love a Starbucks just not enough of them where I live, my preferred choice of all the coffee shops. Went Neros earlier (my friends choice) which was awful they were not having a good day.

It's great to watch the staff clear and clean a table as customers leave, yet not pressure put on customers to leave. Friendly staff, fast service good quality. Went back twice during stay.

Bought 2x chocolate crunch frappe, was terrible and I literally chucked it away just around the corner, I'm pretty sure the staff made it very wrong. £10 down the drain and never going to Starbucks again, McDonald's do way better coffee and frappe's for a fraction of the price! I wish I had complained and taken them back but I'm just to polite 😕 TRASH!!!!

Good service, great variety of food (plenty of vegetarian and drinks. It's conveniently located, places to park the car for few minutes to order your take away.

Friendly & helpful staff. Good quality products. I had their chocolate truffle drink & my granddaughter had a caramel frappuccino, both yum!

Poor. Short measure of coffee, so half a cup for £3. Really busy, short staffed so couldn't bring this to their attention. Sad really as s I am a regular, but will have to think before going again

Best coffee of anywhere. Kind of expensive. Tall double shot original roast with caramel and hot milk. Post covid, for sitting down to drink or eat it's rather unwelcoming. All they need to do now is pay tax.

Good take away coffee. Staff working hard to deliver a good service. Other customers less considerate of current social distancing despite well marked routes. Often not wearing masks correctly.

Very inefficient service no croissants ran out early and girl put her fingers in the top of the cup when she picked it up to make coffee

Unbelievable rude staff. When we were done with the drinks, and my wife was in the toilet with my son, the old lady working there asked me if I could leave the table free because she "was losing costumers". However, there were not costumers waiting, we were the last costumers that got a table, and other 2 tables were free!! :-/ We were the only non British people in the establishment... Makes you wonder 😡

Luke warm coffee that was as weak as dish water. Massively understaffed for a saturday lunch. Far from what you should expect. The staf however were smiling and doing their best.

This is my first time in the Starbucks at Market Harborough, but it definitely won’t be my last! My daughter ordered the wrong drink and on asking for help on which drink we should have ordered, Cathy went and exchanged her drink for her. It really was an act of kindness and made my daughters day. Thank you Cathy 😀
