Browns Bar & Brasserie in Nottingham

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Browns as I generally favour small independents over chain restaurants. But I have to say I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised just how good the food was. I had the crab starter and beetroot salad main. A shout out too for server Ruby and the manager (sorry I didn’t catch her name) who were both excellent.

Had an excellent lunch. It's a great place for a celebratory meal. Mike, our waiter, was really helpful and friendly. Would heartily recommend.

Afternoon tea at Brown's was wonderful. All the staff were very solicitous especially our server Maja. Will come again!

Really enjoyed the Sunday roast, I had the beef. The service was spot on, we had Kezron looking after us and he was excellent.

We chose to eat at Browns for our friends meet up as we knew the food and service would be great; we weren’t let down. Our server, Harrison was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. He checked back with us regularly to take more drinks orders. The food was served piping hot and desserts were a tasty, sweet treat.

Came for lunch with family, we had Sunday roasts which were all amazing and excellent service from Harrison our server.

We had a really lovely evening, the service we had was exceptional (thank you Reka!). It is clear the team are very well trained, knowledgable and have lovely personalities. The food and menu were thoughtful and tasteful - we shared the surf and turf with lobster and steak, as well as a cheese board for dessert - it was all delicious. It was our first time visiting and we will definitely be coming back.

Mixed feelings. So we ordered several cocktails, the locality clean and staff very friendly. The drinks were basic for the price. An Old fashioned was bit made properly, with significant grainy texture. The other drinks, moijto needs relooking into - possible staff CPD needed.

This place is a lovely restaurant, amazing food and equally amazing service in particular Maja who was an efficient and very lovely waitress.

I went to Browns this afternoon with a group of friends, we were greeted by a very polite host. There was a young lady playing the piano which created a fantastic atmosphere! We would like to thank idreece who served us & attend our table, he was very polite and certainly made us feel very welcome thank you again!

Absolutely fabulous food and service. Plenty to eat and an enjoyable atmosphere. Our server Ryan was amazing, lots of laughs.

Always like dining here. Lovely surroundings and usually good staff , well trained, polite and helpful. . Food was good, chateaubriand was tasty well cooked snd well presented. Prices are high and drinks are expensive but probably commensurate with the location and brand. Certainly will be back

Brown’s is a fantastic venue but is let down by poor customer service. We were greeted by a disinterested, unfriendly member of staff who’s only interaction with my group was “so you want a table for 5” when I politely asked for a table for 4 adults with baby needing a highchair. After 10-15mins of waiting no high chair turned up so we asked another member of staff, again after a further wait nothing arrived, so we gave up and left. Browns - You can’t just rely on nice decour, your staff need to make an effort with customers.

Wow! A fantastic experience at Brown's Nottingham today. From creamy camembert starters to juicy steak and lobster for mains. We washed down a good 2 hours over lunch with champagne. The food was divine. The service was thoughtful and fun - thank you to Finlay for serving us and being so attentive and chatty. You made the experience one to highly recommend.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere, Finley made sure we had everything we needed with a smile on his face, food was amazing especially the risotto

Booked a table for 10pm, online, with an explaination that we were at the local theatre and the show ended at 10.... Turned up on time, only to be told the reservation had been cancelled and that they had tried phoning.... sadyly my phone showed no missed calls (not that being called when in the theatre would be helpful anyway). You would think that being so close to the theatre, they would be used to people wanting to eat afterwards. We ended up with lots of hassle re-arranging a taxi and finding a different restaurant, which was pleased to get our £100 off of us for the meal.

Staff welcoming and pleasant, food well presented, hot and tasted has should. Seating area really welcoming. The whole evening was fantastic.

Can't fault the place at all, great service by Reka who was excellent on advising about gluten free food, food was hot, tasty & enough room left foe pudding

Lovely food & setting with outstanding service from Maya, what a little 🌟 Friendly, smiling, nothing was too much trouble. A warm greeting on arrival and attentive but not obtrusive service throughout. We had the set lunch menu which at £17.95 for two courses was good value.

First time at Browns - what a fabulous place to dine! From the moment we entered we were looked after by staff who clearly were well trained and very attentive. The service was exceptional and the food amazing - it was like dining in London! The atmosphere and warmth resonated - we will definitely go back and only hope it is as good as our first visit! Called at browns after being in Nottingham to sign for a new car,so as a celebration decided to take my good lady out for lunch, from being in a good mood to rapidly going down hill within a matter of minutes . We hadn’t booked but it didn’t look that busy at 5 past 1. We went straight to the desk to ask for a table for 2 and was confronted by a member of staff who said “I’m sorry we do not do walk ins “ but you have lots of empty tables I replied still no joy and we duly walked out - I decided to sit in the car outside and go on the web site , and duly booked a table for 1.30 got back out the car walked back in and shown to our table one hour later and after 2 courses spending £93 left Just think - management could have missed out on £93. Can you really afford to do that or are you doing that well you do not give a toss , I was always told “ be careful who you kick on the way up - because you will get a damn good kicking on the way back down”. Always look after your customers and they will support you through thick and THIN Never again
